Rage was a little girl who saw her parents fight everyday over the littlest of things. Her father drank and her mother did drugs. One night in a drunken rage her father took his gun and shot her mother then turned the gun on himself. She was sent to a place far away from that house to help her find a new mom and dad. She's still in the orphanage today and she hasn't talked about the day she hid behind the couch and saw her father kill her mother and then himself. She told her friends at the orphanage that they died in a car accident but only she knew the real truth.

Rage is now 13 years old and she's still not over that horrible night. She's been in this orphanage for 9 years and she is planning on leaving. Her birthday is in 2 months and she made a pact with herself that if she wasn't adopted by then, then no one would ever adopt her. Brian and Michelle are engaged. Brian wants a kid but Michelle doesn't. He decides one day to go to a orphanage in California to look for a child whether Michelle wanted one or not.
