Unholy Nightmare

Summary

Burying loved ones is hard enough but what if they rose up from their graves and started attacking the living and when they bit or scratched a living person...they became one of the dead? Well that's exactly what's happening. All around the world the dead have risen up and have been attacking the living and turning those unfortunate beings into diseased, rotting, walking corpses. Many cities have fallen by their undertaking and when this happened people panicked. News reporters were told to tell the people to stay in their homes with the doors and windows locked. They said it was the safest place to be but for one family, they found out is wasn't.

Violet Carmike's mother and father were one of the unfortunate ones. They were brutally attacked in their home by the dead. At only 7 years of age, Violet took refuge in their home's upstairs bathroom and she was not coming out of there. A man by the name of Otis Lowe rescued Violet from her home and took her in as one of his own. Everything the news had broadcasted about the dead was all wrong. Now it didn't matter if you were bitten or scratched by the dead. You could die of natural causes and still become one of the dead. When Otis died, Violet was alone and frightened but she knew what she had to do.

Avenged Sevenfold...a very successful hard rock, metal band has produce 6 albums and now are in the process of writing on their seventh but it's being cut short by the outbreak of death walking amongst the living. Their friends, family, and neighbors are all dead and walking around as their flesh deteriorates and rots from the bones. Now they're having to dead with the loss of a member. Lacey, Johnny's girlfriend of 7 years, took her own life after she was bitten by one of the dead. She begged Johnny and the others to kill her so she wouldn't turn into one of them but they just couldn't do that to someone they've known for as long as they can remember so she took it upon herself to grab the pistol Johnny was carrying and put a bullet into her brain. Johnny was devastated by the loss of his love but with reality going all to hell, he couldn't be unfocused but some days are harder than others.

What do you think will happen when the remaining members of Avenged Sevenfold cross paths with the now 15 year old Violet? Will there be connections? Hatred? Read on through the story to find out.

**IMPORTANT NOTE!!**

I know when you begin reading when Avenged comes in you'll be asking yourselves 'I thought Lacey had died?' Well she will be in the story but only as a flashback to the time before she was committed suicide and to the day she did it. I thought I would put this note here so there won't be any confusion.
