Unholy Nightmare

When we left that town 6 towns back I kept thinking about what Jimmy had said. I knew he wasn't trying to bluff me when he said that he would tell Matt about me having asthma but I still didn't want to tell him. My personal conditions aren't anyone's business and not even Otis knew about my asthma. I came close to having an attack but when I was trying to catch my breath I just told him I over exerted myself. He bought it too. Matt decided that it would be best to stop at this town we're currently in to let everyone once again stretch their legs. We only have a few more miles to go before we reach this unknown place but we also needed to replenish what supplies we had left. I got out of the car with my weapon and Cujo but the only thing on my mind was to tell Matt. How was I supposed to go about this? Do I just go up to him and say 'Hey Matt! Guess what? I have asthma!' No I couldn't be that condescending.

"Violet?" I looked towards the voice and it was Jimmy. Damn him for breaking my thoughts.

"Yeah?" I asked as I leaned against Matt's car.

"Have you told him yet?"

"I will when he comes back out here." I stated simply.

"We've been all these miles with you riding with him and you haven't even told him?"

"Told who what?" Matt said scaring us both. Jimmy recomposed himself before mouthing 'now's your chance' and walking away.

"What was that all about?"

"Matt there's something I have to tell you." I said hanging my head.

"What is it?"

"I uh...I've got this..." I said stammering for words to find. Cujo's ears perked up before he growl deeply and set his eyes down the street. Several people came running as they fired shots into the flesh eaters.

"Get the guys!" I yelled as I ran towards the people with my 2 handguns at the ready. I joined the firing and helped them kill off as many as we could but it was no use.

"Everyone get to the black SUV!" I yelled and they ran as I kept unloading clips into them.

"Violet!! Hurry!" Matt yelled and I put one last bullet into one of the flesh eaters head. I turned on my heels and ran to Matt's Camaro. He spun his tires making the rubber burn as I reloaded. I hung myself out the window shooting the ones I could with my automatic rifle. Matt drove quickly out of the town and I pulled myself back into the car. My breathing was starting to become erratic but I easily slowed it down to my control. The people that we saved today get a second chance at being alive.

Comments? I just thought I would update this again since I don't know if I'm going to be on later today or not. I just have to see how my day unfolds.

Damn she was so close to telling Matt. Do you think she will ever really get the chance.
