Unholy Nightmare

"That was a close one back there." Matt said as he continued to drive down the road until we were safe.

"It was but at least those people were saved."

"So what did you want to tell me?" he asked glancing over at me for a second.

"It's not important."

"Are you sure?" he asked again and I nodded. Matt let it go at that and I was grateful. I knew his reaction to me having asthma would be shock and wanting to make sure I was alright all the time but I don't need the pity of him. All I want is to get to this place and see what's there is so important.

I followed behind Johnny's car and I looked into the rearview mirror watching the people we helped Violet save checking each other over.

"Are you guys alright back there?" I asked popping a piece of gum into my mouth.

"We are just fine. Thank you for helping us."

"It's no problem. So what are your names?" I asked curiously.

"I'm Adam and this is Maria, Cheyenne, Dakota, and Diamond."

"It's nice to meet you all. I'm Jimmy Sullivan." I said smiling as I introduced myself.

"It's great to meet you. Where are we going?"

"Some place in Nevada." I answered as I seen the others pulling over on the side of the road up ahead. I pulled onto the side right behind Johnny's car and we all got out of the car. Matt, Violet, and the others came over to us.

"Thank you for helping us." Adam said to Matt and the others as he shook their hands.

"No problem. We were hoping we would find some other people while we were on our trip."

"Jimmy told us that you all are going to some place in Nevada. We're all from the Bixby Area in Nevada." he said and Matt took him over to his car to show him the map.

"What were you people doing in that town to make those flesh eaters come after you?" Violet asked as she leaned against one of the cars.

"We were searching for supplies and there were a huge lot of them in the particular store that we went into. We lost 4 members of our group."

"I'm very sorry." I said placing my hand on Diamond's shoulder in a comforting way.

"Thank you very much. I hope you all will let us go with you on your journey. I know it's better with numbers against those geeks but I believe the forces would be better if we joined."

"I would have to take that up with Matt. I mean he's been getting us from one place to another and has kept us safer than we could be if someone else was leading." I said truthfully. Matt has gotten us out of some pretty serious situations.

"Just know that I look out for myself and myself only. I don't like babysitting people who should know how to use a weapon."

"Don't worry Miss. We all are good with our weapons." Diamond said nodding. Matt and Adam came back over to us and Matt had a smile planted onto his face.

"What's with the dopey smile Matt?"

"I showed Adam the map of where we're going and he knows exactly where this place is but hasn't been inside because of the chains and padlocks that are used to keep the doors closed. I asked him to join us but he won't leave without you guys so I guess you all will be coming along." Matt explained.

"What are we waiting for then? Let's get this show on the road." We all got back into our vehicles and Matt led us in the direction Adam had directed us to go.
