It's Over

Jimmy and Matt both gave Brian a small nod before they turned to step out in the hall. They didn't dare go any further. They didn't know what happened during the talk, but they knew what they heard and saw. Brian wouldn't hurt her, they knew that, but they had no idea what she would do. If she freaked out once, she could do it again. Jimmy pulled out his phone, and brought up Zack's number. This was going to be a long night.

Brian sat quietly on the floor as Tammy continued to cry. He didn't exactly understand what just happen, but he knew something bad had to be going on for her to react like that. Brian let out a sigh as he held her tighter, and rested his cheek on the top of her head. As if on their own, his finger started to run soothingly through her hair. He could feel her trembling sobs start to soften, and he began whispering comforting words until she was down to a couple of hiccups here and there.

Tammy took a few deep breaths, inhaling Mr. Haner's calming sent. She had never been this close to him before, and she found a surprising warm, safety in his arms. She loosened the grip she had on his shirt, and rested her hand flat on his chest. She could hear his steady heartbeat, and under any other circumstances, she probably could have fallen asleep. Tammy heard him whisper her name, but she wasn't ready to open her eyes yet. She wasn't ready to pull away.

Brian moved his hand from her hair, and cupped the side of her face. Tammy kept her eyes closed when she felt him tilt her head back to look at him. She was too busy enjoying the feeling of his hand on her face, and too scared he would stop if she did. "Hey," his soft whisper did nothing to pull her away from the comfort she was feeling, "You didn't fall asleep on me, did you?" he asked as he began to stroke her cheek with his thumb. Tammy heard the smile in his voice, and couldn't hold back her own. "I could," she admitted snuggling into him more, "You're cozy." she giggled a little, momentarily forgetting why they were there. This was probably going to be the only time she would ever get in his arms, and she was going to savor every moment.

Brian let out a small chuckle, and continued to stroke her cheek. He wouldn't admit it himself, but he was strangely comfortable as well. He was trying to ignore how good she felt in his arm, and how nice her hair smelled. Trying to ignore how much he enjoyed seeing that smile come out. This was all too confusing for him, and to have it on top of everything else, it was all too exhausting. He didn't want to let her go, but he had to push it all aside, and get back to the matter at hand. He could sort out his thoughts later when she wasn't there clouding his mind.

Another heavy sigh escaped Brian's lips, and Tammy finally opened her eyes knowing their little moment, or whatever it was, was over. She finally looked up at him, and Brian frowned at just how tired and lifeless her eyes looked. He had to find out what was going on. The girl he was seeing now is not the one he sees everyday in class, and he didn't like it. He had to get her out of there. "Talk to me." he whispered almost desperately.

"I can't." Tammy said putting her walls back up again. She didn't care how good he made her feel at the moment. She had to stop him from doing this. "Yes you can," he said as he gently brushed some of her hair out of her eyes, "You can trust me." he told her, and she instantly started to shake her head. "No, I can't. You'll tell." her voice cracked a little. She didn't want to get sent away. Brian looked at her a little shocked. How could she expect him not to. "It's too late not to. Especially after what just happened. I mean....what did happen?" he asked still not understanding what that was. Something made her freak out like that.

Tammy tried to fight the sob that wanted to creep back up again, but she was loosing bad. "I don't know," it came out full force as she buried her face in his chest again, "I wasn't here. You weren't here." she cried. Brian wasn't entirely sure what she was talking about, but he went with it in hopes he could get something out of her. "Who was?" he asked as he grabbed her face, and made her look at him once again, "Was it him?"

Tammy's sobs immediately ceased, and her face went completely blank. Brian couldn't see a single emotion in her, and he knew then she wasn't going to tell him anything. She wasn't stupid, and he should have known better. She's been manipulated before. That's how she got into this mess. There was no way he was going to use this to get information out of her. There was no way she was going to tell him a damn thing. There was no way she was going to let them take her away.

Brian was taken completely off guard when she shoved him away, and jumped up. Tammy took off for the door, and had it open before he even knew what was going on. She had to get out of there. She had to get Kimmie. They had enough money. They could just disappear, and no one would ever see them again. She wouldn't let them send her away. Tammy stepped aside quickly when she seen Jimmy fall back into the classroom. Shouldn't have been leaning against the door, she thought as she quickly stepped over him, and dashed out the door. "Shit," Brian said and he scrambled to his feet, "Damn it, stop her!" he yelled out the door at wide eyed, and shocked Matt standing in the hall.

Brian stopped to help Jimmy up in the door way as Matt took off after Tammy. He was faster than her, and caught quickly, managing to grab her wrist. He just didn't realize how big of a mistake that was. Desperate to get away, Tammy whipped around, and sank her teeth into his hand. Matt let out a growl in pain, immediately letting go. She took back off down the hall, and almost stopped when she seen a fully uniformed cop come around the corner. "Zack!" she heard Mr. Haner yell, and she picked up the pace. This must be his friend. He wasn't getting ahold of her either. She had to get to Kimmie.

Sirens floated through the air, and Kimmie let her eyes drift open. Her brow scrunched together when they started to get closer and closer. She sat up with her legs folded on the hood, and watched a single cop car pull into the school parking lot. The siren shut off, but the lights remained off as it pulled right up to the front entrance. Why the hell were the cops here? Kimmie looked at her watch and realized that Tammy had been in there for almost a half an hour now. What could be taking so long? She watched a single office climb out, and jog to the school entrance. An uneasy feeling started to set in, and Kimmie slid off the hood before she started to walk towards the school.

Did something happen? Was there a fight? What the hell had the cops here? Kimmie stopped dead in her tracks, and the air left her lungs when the worst realization set in. Oh God he couldn't know. She took off at a dead run to the school, and through the door. They couldn't take her away from her. She saw the cop reach Mr. Haner and Jimmy's hall just before she heard someone yell. "Zack!" it sounded, and the cop stopped. He looked like he was waiting for something. She started to jog towards him, but stopped halfway when she saw exactly what he was waiting on.

Tammy ran full speed down the hall, and Zacky readied himself to stop her. He wasn't expecting the desperate freight train headed his way, and was knocked into the wall behind him, and onto his ass by a hard shoulder. Tammy felt relief flow through as she turned the corner, and saw Kimmie standing, a little shocked, in the middle of the hall. "We have to go." she said gripping her arms with both hands. "What's going on?" Kimmie asked wanting to be sure. They glance down the hall and seen their three teacher in the hall intersection. "He knows. He's going to tell. We have to go." Tammy hurried out as she started to pull her along.

Kimmie didn't hesitate to follow. She would go where ever Tammy took them as long as it kept them together. Neither one of them was ready to loose the other, and pure panic and desperation now had them running away from three teachers and a cop. The commotion drew out spectators from after school sports and clubs as well as the principal. The girls ran, hand in hand, down the hall, and through the commons/cafeteria area. They were only a few feet away from freedom. Mr. O'Neal, knowing what was happening, thought he would be able to intervene, and stop them. He managed to grip Kimmie's hand, but she was quick to shove him away.

The principal may have not been able to stop them, but it was enough to slow them down. They were so close, but yet so far away. Their grip on each others hands was so tight, tanks couldn't pull them apart, but Coach Sanders could stop them both. Tammy felt herself get yanked back when he wrapped his arms around Kimmie's waist, and stopped her. "No!" Tammy heard her yell out as she started to fall back from the sudden stop. "Kimmie!" she let out when a pair of her own arm went around her, and she quickly turned to face her. The girls tear filled eyes locked as well as their hands to each other's wrists as they tried so hard to stay together.

Matt and Brian tried with everything they had to pull the girls apart. There was no way out of it now, and they knew if they didn't get them separated, they would take off again. Yeah it pained them to tear the girls apart, but what other choice did they have. There was obviously something they were hiding for them to pull a stunt like this. "Let go!" Tammy yelled as she tried to pull herself and Kimmie out of their teachers grasp. "No! Now quit fighting! You can't stop this!" Brian told her as he pulled harder. "Tammy!" Kimmie's voice came out in a sob as she started to feel her grip slip. "Don't let go!" Tammy's own voice cracked as her grip slipped as well.

With one last tug, the girls were pulled from each others grasp, and turned away from one another. They didn't stop their struggles continuing to free themselves from their teachers. "Damn it stop! You're only making this worse." Matt said realizing he was having a hard time hanging onto Kimmie. She wasn't that big, and he didn't want to accidentally hurt her. Tammy tried what she knew best, and stomped on Mr. Haner's foot to get him to release her. He bit back the pain, and kept his grip tight until he felt an elbow knock the wind right out of him. He let go, falling back, and Tammy fell forward to her hands and knees.

Kimmie knew she wouldn't be able to use violence on Coach Sanders. He was big, and looked like he could take a punch or ten. So she used her small size to get her out. She put her arms strait up, and started to pull and wiggle her way down out of Coach Sanders arms. Matt tried to keep his grip tight, but he knew his own strength, and soon she had slipped right through.

The two girls surrounded with no where to go, quickly crawled to each other. Tears streamed down their faces as they sat on the floor, hugging each other tightly as they cried on the others shoulder. It was over. Everything was ruined, and it was all over. They were both sure they would never see one another again, and there was nothing they could do to stop it. It was all for nothing.

Jimmy helped Brian up off of the floor, and for a moment the room was thick with silence. Except for the two girls sobbing on the floor. Brian ran a frustrated hand through his hair, and Jimmy could see the conflict in his eyes. "I can't do this." he whispered, realizing just how much these girls wanted....needed to stay together. "I don't think you can stop it," Jimmy told him softly, "Not after what just happened. Couldn't stop it even if you wanted to." Brian's eyes met his, and he could see that Jimmy too didn't want to separate the girls.

They've been friends since they were kids, and were extremely close. Jimmy knew more about Brian than anyone, and vice versa. They would hate to be ripped apart, but that's what they were about to do to two friends. Two friends that were just as close if not closer. Two friends that would apparently do anything to stay together. Brian felt his own tears for the girls form in his eyes, and he blinked them away. It killed him what was about to happen, but he couldn't stop it. Now he was wishing he could just go back, and agree to her reasoning.

Brian shook the thought away knowing even if he could, he wouldn't. Maybe he cared about her more than he should, but he just couldn't leave her in whatever she's in. Brian slowly approached the two girls, clinging so desperately to whatever time they had left, and crouched down. He reached out, and touched Tammy's shoulder, and her eyes snapped open, meeting his instantly. "I'm sorry." he whispered, hoping she could see just how much he truly meant it. A fire lit in her eyes, and his heart sank. "You ruined everything," she hissed, "Why could you have just minded your own fucking business!?"

Brian took a deep breath to keep calm, "I had-" he started, but she wasn't going to let him finish. "YOU RUINED EVERYTHING!" she snapped, letting go of Kimmie and jumping up. Brian stood to reason with her, but she didn't let him get another word in. "I HATE YOU!" she screamed, shoving him back, and ripping his heart out at the same time. Brian stumbled back, but Matt kept him from hitting the floor. "I...I'm sorry." he repeated, and she ignored the pain in his eyes. "I don't care," she said cold, and low her eyes still blazing, "I will never forgive you."

Notes

So...
Yeah, what happened there? Think she was a little hard on him? I mean damn the guy was just trying to help....

Comments

@Kimmie
This totally made up for the wait :)

First Brian. He's just not use to having to hide something like this like Tammy has. She's had her crush for awhile and is use to hiding secrets and actions. Some of what he does is completely innocent, just trying to make her feel better, but the other he just doesn't know how to deal with or control it. But like I said in a previous comment...someone is about to gum up the works.

As for Tammy turning on the bitch switch with Kimmie, she knows she fucked up. First day back was an uncomfortable shock to her and she took it out on the wrong person. But I think the little pep talk she got from her favorite teacher will help.

And finally Matt. What can I say about this poor broken man? It's going to take some time for him to get over this. The love of his life is gone now and he just doesn't know how to deal. It's not something someone just gets over. Eventually he's going to see though that there's someone else out there that can love him just as much if not more :)

always love you long comments Hot Stuff <3

OK first, I'm sorry I'm "sooooo late" with my comment ;-) :P
Here goes! Get ready!

Brian, my friend, you are getting onto thin ice. Getting in between a funny back and forth between friends? Asking for a HotStuff (don't be jealous of the girl friends man, not cool), checking to hear if you are still hot? Putting your hand on her thigh? HOLDING HER FUCKING HAND?!!?! Brian, you are soooo deep in right now. And you fucking know it. If you really aren't ready to admit yet, you shouldn't even get in everything I mentioned before and try to pretend to be a grown up man who doesn't have a quickly developing crush on his fosterchild. Don't get me wrong, I can't wait for him to fall of the wagon, but for the storysake and the "it's all wrong"-sake... you should at least pretend :P

Okay, I can skip the school stuff right? I mean, she doesn't want to move away from Brian anyway and everything else was just.. well.. maybe she'll make it anyway, but who cares... I have more important stuff to get to.

For the first time this story I kinda didn't like Tammy. She was selfish instead of supporting her friend. I don't really like Aaron, but for now he is nice to Kimmie and so are his friends. I get all the issues Tammy always had, but she had no right to go off on Kimmie like that. That's just mean. I know I know, she had her reasons. I know she's been through a lot, but I still didn't like it. Kimmie didn't deserve it.

Oh, one thing more about the school day... I do love all the sarcastic remarks. But you know... that's your writing. You make it seem so effortless and I know it's not, but just take the compliment, okay? You make it seem so so damn lifely, and I really feel like being there. Like standing there watching the scene. It's amazing.

Allright, let's get to my man Matt. My heart breaks everytime you write about him. I know it's too soon to get better, but I really want it to. I hate seeing him hurt like this. Trying his best over all his grief. I really can't stand seeing him like this. But I love how Kimmie knows this baby stuff. How she so easily gets the baby to be quiet and calm. And what I like most about it is that she isn't solving it for Matt, but teaching him how. But damn, just fix the man soon, I can't take it.
And here's a small peek of the fangirl.. I can't wait for Kimmie to spend more time with Matt and Aiden, taking care of the small guy.

I hope this comment makes up for me being not here on the first day. I'll just end with what I always do.. Please, Please, Please write! I'm begging you, this story makes my day, my week, my life. I want to read more now things are looking up!

Love you lekker ding! <3
