He's Forbidden, as am I

This isn't Real

Kimmie stood, leaned against Tammy's car as she watched her friend approach. She looked like she was in deep thought, and Kimmie cocked a brow when she reached her. "What has the smoke flowing?" she asked with a smirk when they got in the car. Tammy didn't respond right away, and Kimmie nudged her. "What?" she asked like she just realized Kimmie was there. "What the hell are you thinking about?" she asked. "I have to come back in an hour." Tammy said as she started the car.

"Why?"

"Mr. Haner wants to talk to me."

"About what?"

"I have no fucking clue."

The girls were quiet for a moment as they both sat there trying to figure out what he wanted. Kimmie's eyes widened, and she looked at Tammy with a smirk. "I bet he figured out that poem you wrote was about him." she said and Tammy's heart sank. "Oh my God, do you think?" she asked genuinely worried. Things were going to be so awkward if he did. "It's the only thing I can think of." Kimmie said. "This is your fault." Tammy said as she playfully shoved her in the shoulder. "My fault?" she asked shoving her back with a small chuckle. "Hey I'm driving, and yes your fault." she said, glancing at her pointedly.

Kimmie crossed her arms, and looked at Tammy with a grin. "Elaborate." she told her. "If you hadn't put the idea in my head, I would have never thought about it. Therefore I would have never wrote it. Your fault." Tammy said with her own victorious smile. "I didn't hold your hand, and make you write, nor did I hold a gun to your head. Not my fault." Kimmie stated. Tammy quickly glanced at her with narrow eyes, but didn't say anything. Kimmie let out a surprised huff, "Did I win again?" she teasingly asked. Tammy held back her smile, and continued to remain quiet as she drove. "Thought so."

Tammy let out a chuckle, and shook her head. "So what are we going to do for an hour?" Kimmie asked when she noticed they weren't headed to either one of their homes. "I figured we would go get our room, and some crap to munch on tonight to kill time." Kimmie nodded, "Works for me." she said as they pulled into the nicest hotel in town. "You going to come back with me, or hang out here?" Tammy asked as they got out of the car, "This place has cable." she added with a grin as they walked up to the entrance. Kimmie let out a small giggle. "I'll come with you. That way I can find out if I'm right as soon as possible." she smiled back.

"I hope not," Tammy sighed out as they approached the front desk, "It would make things so awkward." she mumbled as she took out her card and fake ID. You had to be eighteen to rent a room here. Good thing her ID said she was twenty-one. One of Victoria's old boyfriends hooked the girls up with them. Kimmie called him Charlie, and Tammy called him Chuck. He was one of the few that they actually liked, and thought maybe Kimmie's mom really did too. For a few months they were hopeful that maybe he would be able to bring Victoria back from the dark place she was at now. Then he caught her in bed with someone else, and they never saw him again.

They checked into the best room they had. All set up with a kitchenette, and two beds. They had about a half an hour still to kill, and spent it at the grocery store, loading up on all kinds of sweet and salty treats to pig out on later. They took everything back to their room, and put it away. Tammy glanced at her watch, and seen they had about ten minutes before school got out. "We should probably go." she said, receiving a nod before the two left.

The drive back to the school was quiet except for the radio playing softly. Tammy could feel the nerves set in, the closer they got to the school. It had to be about the poem. What else could it be? She was definitely not looking forward to this surely uncomfortable conversation. Tammy let out a sigh when she parked just as the bell rang. "Ready?" Kimmie asked reaching for her door handle. "No." Tammy grumbled as she dropped her forehead onto the steering wheel. "Better to get in there and over with. Who knows maybe he luuuuvvvvs you back." Kimmie teased. "I doubt it." Tammy said with a small chuckle as they got out.

Kimmie hopped on the hood of the car, and scooted to the middle. She leaned back on the windshield, and shut her eyes letting the sun warm her face. It was a beautiful day, and she was going to enjoy it. "If you're asleep when I get back, I'm taking off with you on the hood." Tammy told her with a grin before she walked away. "You better not!" Kimmie called after her knowing she wouldn't. "Watch me!" she hollered back as she walked towards the school.

Tammy maneuvered through the sea of students leaving for the day, or heading for their after school activities. She turned down the hall to Mr. Haner's class, and saw Coach Sanders jogging down to Jimmy who was standing outside of his classroom. She sees them together a lot around school, and often wondered if they all hung out outside of these walls. She stopped at the door, and reached for the handle. Tammy quickly glanced down the hall again, feeling eyes on her, and was met with her teachers sympathetic gazes. Why the hell were they looking at her like that? Did they know too? Great, as if this couldn't have gotten anymore awkward.

Tammy felt her heart start to pound harder when she glanced through the small window on the door. Mr. Haner was sitting at his desk with his head in his hands. He looked stressed. She couldn't help but think that she messed up bad with this. Tammy took a deep breath, and turned the handle, pushing the door open. Brian looked up when he heard the door close, and he swallowed thickly as she walked over to him. How the hell was he going to bring this up. "Hey." she said softly, slightly avoiding his eyes. "Hey," the word came out kind of hoarse, and he cleared his throat, "Um have a seat." he said motioning to the chair he placed next to his desk.

Tammy sat down, and the air around them started to get thick and uncomfortable. After a few moments of awkward silence it started to get to here. "What's this about? Kimmie is outside waiting on me." she said wanting him to get on with it already. The anticipation was killing her. Brian let out a heavy sigh, and ran his fingers through his hair. "I...I guess there's really no easy way to bring this up," he started. He still wasn't sure if he was ready for this, but it was better to get it done and over with. "I noticed some things yesterday. Some things that don't sit well with me, and it's left me with a difficult decision to make."

Everything Tammy thought it was faded from her mind, and she looked at him confused. "What are you talking about?" she asked just before her eyes slightly widened when a thought popped in her head. Oh God he couldn't know. Brian let out another sigh, and turned his chair, so he was facing her head on. "I think you know what I'm talking about. The limp you were trying to hide," he started to tell her, and she could start to feel her world begin to crumble, "The black eye-"

Tammy cut him off shaking her head, "That was just from the fight." she tried to lie. This wasn't good. This couldn't happen now. They needed more time. Mr. Haner's face told her he knew better. "Scarlette didn't get a lick on you, and you know it," he said, feeling some confidence come back to him, "Tammy I'm going to ask you something, please don't lie to me." he told her. She could feel the panic building up as her heart raced. "Is your stepfather hurting you?" he asked the last question she wanted to hear. She knew what he would have to do. That's why they tried so hard to hide it.

Tammy started shaking her head almost frantically. "No, no there's nothing going on." she denied, but Brian could hear the panic in her voice. Tammy started to feel short of breath. She wasn't prepared for this. What was she going to do? How was she going to stop him from reporting this? "Then why are you and Kim so afraid of him?" Brian continued to press knowing she was still lying. Tammy's eyes snapped to his, not having an answer for him. This couldn't happen, not yet. "I don't...I don't know what you're talking about. I have to go." she said trying to get up.

Brian gripped the arms of her chair, boxing her in between their chairs, and kept her from walking away. "You can't walk away from this. I've already talked to a friend of mine at the police station." he told her. Tammy felt everything crash down around her. "I have to report this." he finally told her. She began shaking her head again. "You can't." she almost sobbed out. "I have too." he whispered feeling his own heart break. "No, no you don't," she tried to plead, "We can pretend this conversation never happened." she started reasoning.

This time it was Brian's turn to shake his head. "I can't do that. I'm sorry." he said watching the tears form in her eyes. "Yes you can, please," she started to practically beg, "Please, you'll ruin everything. It'll all be for nothing." she continued, not being able to control the words that fell out of her mouth, or the tears that ran down her cheeks. She had to convince him somehow. "They'll take me away. I'll never see Kimmie again. You can't. No, no, I won't cooperate. You can't make me. I have to go." she said, frantically climbing over the back of her chair. She had to get out of there.

Brian jumped from his chair, and tried to stop her. "Tammy, wait," he called out, but she continued for the door, "Don't walk away from me, Damn it stop!" he let out more demanding than intended as he grabbed her arm. Tammy's eyes went wide, and she lost her breath as she watched the room melt around her. She squeezed her eyes shut, hoping her eyes were playing tricks on her. When she opened them though, she felt her heart leap into her throat as the fear set it. How the hell did she get into her house. Tammy physically trembled as her eyes scanned the room as she turned to face the person holding her arm. Where the hell did Mr. Haner go? How did he get here? What the hell was going on?

"No! Let go of me!" she started to scream as she tried to pull her arm free, in full on panic. "No! Stay away from me! I won't let you touch me!" she yelled in absolute terror. This wasn't right. Brian let go as soon as the words left her mouth, and she fell to the floor. "Don't touch me." he heard her say as he watched, eyes wide with shock as she quickly crawled to the corner. What the fuck was going on? Tammy hug her knees to her body, and buried her face in them. "This isn't real. This isn't real." she kept repeating at a whisper as the tears fell freely down her face.

Brian's head snapped to the door when it flew open, and he saw Jimmy and Matt. They heard her screaming from Jimmy's room. "What the hell is going on in here?" Matt asked a little angry when he saw Tammy hugging herself in the corner sobbing. "I don't know," Brian said just as confused, and a little scared, "She practically begged me not to say anything, and tried to leave. I grabbed her arm to stop her, and she just freaked out." he told them. Brian ran a hand through his hair, and tugged a little in frustration. What the hell should he do now? Should he approach her? Would she start screaming again?

Tammy continue to try to convince herself that what she was seeing wasn't real. It couldn't be. She was at the school, not at her house. He wasn't there, but why did she see him? She could hear her what sound like her name in the distance, but she couldn't look up. She was too afraid of what she would see. Brian took another step closer, and crouched down next to her. "Tammy." he said her name again, finally getting through.

Her head snapped up when his voice broke through, and she looked around with wide red eyes. Everything was back to normal. Except for Jimmy and Coach Sanders there with confusion, and concern all over their faces. "Tammy." she heard him say her name again. She closed her eyes when she felt his hands on her face, and she could feel her heart start to calm. Brian turned her head to face him. She opened her eyes, and his heart tore in two. She looked so broken. "Are you okay?" he asked softly as he wiped away the tears with his thumbs, but that wasn't all that was wiped away.

Tammy shook her head a little as another sob started to creep up. She wasn't at all okay. That had never happened before. She's never felt more exposed than she did right now, and she didn't like it. It terrified her, and she didn't know what to do now. She just needed....

Brian fell back on his butt when jumped into him, clinging on to his shirt in a tight fist, not being able to hold it all in anymore. Brian's eyes widened with surprise and confusion, not really sure what he should do at the moment. He looked to his friend, who just shook their head, not really sure either. It was obvious she needed someone to comfort her, so Brian did the only thing he could think of, and wrapped his arms around her as she sobbed into his shirt. He looked back up at his friends from the floor as he held her tight, "Call Zack."

But I would like to hear your thoughts :)

@Kimmie
This totally made up for the wait :)

First Brian. He's just not use to having to hide something like this like Tammy has. She's had her crush for awhile and is use to hiding secrets and actions. Some of what he does is completely innocent, just trying to make her feel better, but the other he just doesn't know how to deal with or control it. But like I said in a previous comment...someone is about to gum up the works.

As for Tammy turning on the bitch switch with Kimmie, she knows she fucked up. First day back was an uncomfortable shock to her and she took it out on the wrong person. But I think the little pep talk she got from her favorite teacher will help.

And finally Matt. What can I say about this poor broken man? It's going to take some time for him to get over this. The love of his life is gone now and he just doesn't know how to deal. It's not something someone just gets over. Eventually he's going to see though that there's someone else out there that can love him just as much if not more :)

always love you long comments Hot Stuff <3

OK first, I'm sorry I'm "sooooo late" with my comment ;-) :P
Here goes! Get ready!

Brian, my friend, you are getting onto thin ice. Getting in between a funny back and forth between friends? Asking for a HotStuff (don't be jealous of the girl friends man, not cool), checking to hear if you are still hot? Putting your hand on her thigh? HOLDING HER FUCKING HAND?!!?! Brian, you are soooo deep in right now. And you fucking know it. If you really aren't ready to admit yet, you shouldn't even get in everything I mentioned before and try to pretend to be a grown up man who doesn't have a quickly developing crush on his fosterchild. Don't get me wrong, I can't wait for him to fall of the wagon, but for the storysake and the "it's all wrong"-sake... you should at least pretend :P

Okay, I can skip the school stuff right? I mean, she doesn't want to move away from Brian anyway and everything else was just.. well.. maybe she'll make it anyway, but who cares... I have more important stuff to get to.

For the first time this story I kinda didn't like Tammy. She was selfish instead of supporting her friend. I don't really like Aaron, but for now he is nice to Kimmie and so are his friends. I get all the issues Tammy always had, but she had no right to go off on Kimmie like that. That's just mean. I know I know, she had her reasons. I know she's been through a lot, but I still didn't like it. Kimmie didn't deserve it.

Oh, one thing more about the school day... I do love all the sarcastic remarks. But you know... that's your writing. You make it seem so effortless and I know it's not, but just take the compliment, okay? You make it seem so so damn lifely, and I really feel like being there. Like standing there watching the scene. It's amazing.

Allright, let's get to my man Matt. My heart breaks everytime you write about him. I know it's too soon to get better, but I really want it to. I hate seeing him hurt like this. Trying his best over all his grief. I really can't stand seeing him like this. But I love how Kimmie knows this baby stuff. How she so easily gets the baby to be quiet and calm. And what I like most about it is that she isn't solving it for Matt, but teaching him how. But damn, just fix the man soon, I can't take it.
And here's a small peek of the fangirl.. I can't wait for Kimmie to spend more time with Matt and Aiden, taking care of the small guy.

I hope this comment makes up for me being not here on the first day. I'll just end with what I always do.. Please, Please, Please write! I'm begging you, this story makes my day, my week, my life. I want to read more now things are looking up!

Love you lekker ding! <3
