Late Night Swinging

Kimmie munched on her pizza as she sat at the kitchen table doing her math homework. Tammy took her grocery shopping today after school, so she would have some food in the house. She tells Kimmie every time, not to share it with that "drunk whore of a mother", but she knows she will. Kimmie just wasn't ready to give up on her yet. She knows that the loving mother she once knew was still there somewhere, but her efforts were getting tiring. She still loved her mother, she just didn't like her at the moment. She tries to take care of her, show her there is still someone there for her, but Victoria just pushes her further and further away. One of these days its going to be completely away.

Victoria wasn't home at the moment. She wasn't there when Kimmie got home, and it was kind of nice. She was able get place cleaned up, do her homework, and eat in peace. Kimmie let out a sigh when she heard a car pull up. Looks like her peaceful night just ended. She lifted her eyes from her math with an annoyed frown when she also heard two car doors close. Great, she wasn't alone. Looks like Kimmie was sleeping with her headphones on, and music blasting tonight.

Kimmie tried to focus on her homework when the front door opened, and Victoria's cackling laughter filled the house. Maybe if she was lucky, they would walk right past the kitchen. "Bathroom's down the hall, baby." Kimmie hear her mother before she heard her high heals on the hard wood floors, coming her way. She looked up when Victoria appeared in the kitchen entryway, all trashed up, and everyone to do. She hardly gave her daughter a glance as she stumbled over to the refrigerator, and pulled out a bottle of vodka. "You need to make yourself scarce." she said as she grabbed a couple of glasses out of the cupboard, and filled them with ice. "Gladly." Kimmie mumbled, tossing her homework in her book bag.

Tossing it over her shoulder, Kimmie grabbed her plate, and set it in the sink. She heard someone else enter the kitchen, and her skin started to crawl as soon as she heard his rough voice. "Whose this pretty little lady?" he asked as he walked further into the kitchen. Kimmie ignored him as she rinsed her plate off. "She was just leaving." Victoria said, not looking at either of them as she filled the two glasses with vodka. Kimmie rolled her eyes as she shut the faucet off, and turned to leave almost running into the drunk man. "What's the rush," he smirked down at her, making her stomach churn with the smell of the alcohol on his breath, "Maybe she would like to have a little fun too." he suggested, bringing a hand up to run down her face.

"Fuck off." Kimmie snapped, slapping his hand away before he could touch her. She moved around him, but should have known she wouldn't get very far. "Feisty little thing," he said grabbing her arm. He didn't get out the rest of what he wanted to say as he whipped her around, and was met with an unexpected foot to his dick. Victoria spun around from the drinks she was making when she heard him howl in pain. A fire lit in her eyes when she seen him on his knees, in pain, holding himself, and her daughter glaring down at him.

She stormed over to Kimmie, and grabbed her by the hair, "What fuck is wrong with you!?" Victoria snapped as she drug her into the living room. "I bring a guest into this house, and you disrespect and assault him! Who the hell do you think you are!?" she continued, letting go. Kimmie rubbed her scalp after her mother released her, and looked at her hurt, angry, and confused. "Are you serious right now!?" she snapped back, "He grabbed me, and was trying to get me to sleep with him!"

Victoria huffed and crossed her arms, "Please," she started, clear disbelief in her voice, "What would he want with a dumb virgin like you when he already has me." Kimmie's mouth dropped a little. She couldn't believe her mother was defending this man. "Did you not hear what he said, or are you just too much of a whore-" Kimmie didn't get the rest out before Victoria punched her in the mouth, and she fell to the floor.

The angry tears burned her eyes as she tasted blood in her mouth. Kimmie touched her lip, and looked at the crimson fluid on her fingers. Her eyes met the blazing ones of the woman she no longer recognized as her mother, glaring down at her. "Don't you ever talk to me like that again." Victoria hissed. Kimmie didn't respond to her as she jumped up, and ran out the front door before allowing the tears to spill over. It had never been more painfully clear to her than it was now. Her mother was gone, and she was never coming back.

A few sobs escaped her as she walked down the sidewalk, and she hugged herself a little, trying to calm down. Kimmie could feel her lip swelling, and remembered she had her book bag on her shoulder. She plopped down on the curb, and dug out a makeup mirror. A grimace crossed her face when she saw her tear streaked, bloody reflection. She wiped her cheeks with her sleeve, and tried to get the blood off her chin. Victoria had her rings on, and there was more than usual from the cuts just below her lip. Kimmie licked her thumb, and tried rubbing off what had dried before growing frustrated, and rubbing her chin hard with her sleeve.

Tossing her mirror back in her bag, Kimmie leaned back a little, and dug her phone out of her pocket. She sent Tammy a text to see if it was okay to come over. After a couple of minutes with no reply, she pulled up her contact, and hit talk. The line rang about six times, and Kimmie let out a sigh when it went to voice mail. She couldn't go over there. It wasn't safe, and she knew why. After the last time she showed up unannounced, things escalated quickly, and almost ended in the worst possible way for her...

Oh Look, Another Flashback....
Kimmie kicked a rock as she walked down the sidewalk towards Tammy's house after yet another fight with her mom. It was really starting to get old. She walked up to the front door, and dug the key Tammy gave her out of her pocket. The house was dark, and she assumed everyone was asleep as she quietly walked in, and shut the door behind her. It wouldn't be the first time she came over while they were sleeping, and it probably wouldn't be the last. Tammy didn't care. Most of the time, she had just laid down, and wasn't asleep yet. If she was sleeping, then she would just move over, so Kimmie could crawl in.

An uneasy feeling fell over her as she walked further into the dark house, towards the stairs. Something didn't feel right, and as soon as she heard the muffled scream from upstairs, she knew something wasn't right. Kimmie rushed up the stairs, her heart racing, not knowing what to expect. This has never happened before. She heard commotion coming from Tammy's room when she reached the top of the stairs, and she ran to the door.

Kimmie's eyes widened as they filled with rage at the sight in front of her when she threw open the door. Nathan was basically sitting on Tammy's chest, and it looked like he was trying to tie her hands to the headboard as she thrashed about, and kicked her legs. Her muffled cries filled Kimmie's ears, and her body moved on it's own. She grabbed the wooden chair at the computer desk, and rushed over to the bed. "Get off her!" she screamed, surprising them both as she smashed the chair across his back.

Nathan collapsed in pain on top of Tammy, and Kimmie pushed him off the bed. Tammy's scared eyes looked to Kimmie as she pulled the gag out of her mouth, but that fear wasn't for herself. "Why did you do that? You have to get out of here." she tried to plead with her. She didn't know what Nathan would do to her. "I'm not leaving you." Kimmie said as she tried hurriedly to get the knots undone. A groan was heard from the floor on the other side of the bed, and Tammy looked at her desperately, "You have to go!" she cried.

Kimmie shook her head, and finally got the knot loose just as Nathan popped up from the floor. Both girls heads snapped in his direction, and Kimmie was met with a hard back hand across the face, knocking her off the bed. Tammy watched with horror as he climbed across the bed to get to her friend on the floor. She tried to kick him a few times, but he was too fast, and had Kimmie up by her hair in a matter of seconds. "Let her go!" she screamed, knowing it would do no good.

Tammy watched as he threw her against the wall, putting a hole in it with the back of her head. Nathan stomped over to Kimmie, and picked her up again, delivering a few more blows to her face before wrapping his hands around her throat, and pining her against the wall. "You made a big mistake, little girl." he growled in her face. Kimmie gasped for air as she tried to claw at his arms and hands. Her vision started to get spotty as he squeezed tighter, and she glanced at Tammy out of the corner of her eye.

She saw her chewing at the rope Kimmie had loosened, but that's all she saw before Nathan pulled her away from the wall a little, and slammed her back to it, knocking out what little air she had left. Tammy pulled the knot loose enough with her teeth to get her hand out before quickly working on the other hand. Kimmie felt her body get weak, and her eyes drifted closed just before she heard the sound of glass breaking. She suddenly fell to the floor, coughing when the air filled her lungs again. She looked up, rubbing her throat, and seen Tammy standing over Nathan, a broken lamp shattered around him. He wasn't unconscious though, and was quick to his feet, giving Tammy a back hand of her own, and sending her flying to the floor.

Nathan glared between the two girls, bleeding on the floor before storming out of the room, slamming the door hard behind him. Tammy pushed herself up a little, and tried to shake off the blow. She crawled over to Kimmie, and pulled her into her lap as she turned her over on her back. She pushed the hair out of her face, and tried to wipe off the blood with her shirt. "This can't happen again," Tammy whispered as tears made their way down her cheeks, "I can't go on if he kills you," she sobbed out, holding a weak Kimmie close to her, "This can't happen again."

And End Flashback...

Kimmie sat in a swing at a random park, her head resting against one of the chains as her arms dangled at the sides. It hasn't happened again since. Tammy had talked Nathan into putting Kimmie on their phone plan, and gave her one the next day. She told her to text first, and then call if she didn't get a reply after a few minutes. If she didn't answer then Kimmie knew she couldn't go over there. It didn't happen a lot that she didn't respond, but every time there has been a strong urge to go over anyway just so she could stop it. The only thing that stops her, is knowing that Tammy doesn't want her too. She was too afraid that Kimmie would die by his hand. So Kimmie just waited, either walking around, or hanging out in a park until Tammy text her that it was okay.

Someone sat in the swing next to her, and Kimmie almost fell out of hers startled. She looked over to see a smiling Aaron, that smile quickly fading when he got a look at her. "What are you doing here?" she asked, quickly looking away, trying to hide her face. "I was just out for a drive, and saw you sitting here. Kim," he said, and she met his eyes, "What happened to you?" he asked, his face and voice filled in concern. "Nothing, don't worry about it." she said looking away again.

Aaron didn't respond as he got up from his swing, and walked away. Kimmie felt a little relieved, hoping he would leave, but when he came back a few moments later, and crouched in front of her, she knew she wasn't getting rid of him that easy. She watched him soak what looked like his gym shirt with a bottle of water, and looked up at her. Kimmie felt a small shiver run through her when he touched her face as he wiped off the dried blood she had missed. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to," he started at a whisper as he gently cleaned her face, "But I'll listen if you do."

Kimmie let out a huff in disbelief, "Why? So you can go blab to your girlfriend?" she asked a little harsher than intended, and immediately felt bad when his face dropped, looking a little hurt. "I'm sorry," she told him truthfully, "You've never really talked to me before. You have to understand why I would jump to that conclusion." she tried to explain. Aaron gave her a small, understanding nod. "I get it," he said as he finished wiping her face, "It's just kind of hurt a little to know you think I would be that kind of person." he told her. "What am I suppose to think?" she asked, following him with her eyes as he stood up. Aaron shrugged a little, "I don't know, maybe that I'm actually a nice guy." he suggested as he moved behind her, and grab the sides of her swing.

A small smile made it's way out on Kimmie's face as he started to push her in the swing. When she actually thought about it, Aaron was one of the few that never joined in on the laughter and taunting of the girls. He's even gotten them to stop, and leave them alone. "You know there's a lot of things I don't tell Grace," he said, pulling Kimmie out of her thoughts as he pushed her higher, "She kind of has a big mouth, and we're not exactly on the best of terms right now anyway." he confessed to her, hoping maybe she would open up to him a little too.

Kimmie glanced at him over her shoulder a little confused, but a little excited at the thought of the two breaking up. Of course then she felt a little bad for wanting them too. "Why?" she asked curiously. "I guess because I'm starting to really see the kind of person she is. Shallow, materialistic, self centered," he explained, and Kimmie could hear the anger starting to rise in his voice, "We got into it earlier about Coach Sanders. I'm so sick of the flirting she does with him, and right in front of me like I'm not even there," he said growing frustrated, "I don't have anything against him. He's a great teacher and coach, and I can tell he doesn't like it either, but I just don't know how much longer I can take it. It's like she doesn't give a shit about how it makes me feel."

Aaron let out a heavy sigh as he continued to push Kim in the swing. "I'm sorry. It really doesn't seem like she deserves you." she said softly. He smiled a little even though she couldn't see it, finally building up the courage to tell her something he's wanted to for awhile. "I've been thinking about breaking up with her," he told her, and Kimmie felt the excitement start to build again, only for to be squashed with his next words, "There's actually someone else I kind of like." Kimmie frowned, but should have known he wouldn't have an interest in her.

The swing came back, and Kimmie looked back at Aaron when he stopped her. Her breath hitched when she noticed how close his face was to hers. She felt her heart start to pick up as his blues stared into hers. Was she wrong? Cause it sure looked like he was getting ready to kiss her. Her eyes drifted close as he leaned closer to her, their lips almost touching just before her phone sounded from her pocket, snapping them both back to reality. Kimmie internally cursed as she pulled her phone out of her pocket.

I'm sorry. Come over, please...

Kimmie let out a sigh. She never understood why Tammy always apologized to her when she couldn't come over right away. It wasn't her fault. "I have to go." she told Aaron as she got off her swing, knowing Tammy needed her. He looked at her a little disappointed, but nodded. "You want a ride?" he offered as she grabbed her bag off the ground. Kimmie hesitated for a moment before taking him up on the offer.

The ride was quiet, except when Kimmie was giving him directions to Tammy's house, and a little awkward. Aaron's mouth dropped a little when they pulled up in front of the giant two story house. "Tammy lives here?" he asked a little surprised. Kimmie nodded, "Her stepdad is a Cardiologist," she told him as she reached for the handle, "Thanks for the ride." she said as she opened the door. "You're welcome." he mumbled, as he watched her get out, not really wanting her to leave.

Kimmie started to walked around to the back of the house when Aaron's voice stopped her. "Kim, wait!" he said getting out of his car. She turned to look at him, wondering what he could want as he jogged over to her. She had her bag, so she knew she didn't forget anything. He caught her completely off guard when he wrapped an arm around her waist, and pulled her into him just before crashing his lips to hers. She stiffened a little in his arms, but soon relaxed as she kissed him back, enjoying the feeling of his lips pressed against hers. He pulled back after a moments, both breathing a little heavy, with a small satisfied smile on his face. "See you at school." he said, giving her one more peck on her cheek before jogging back to his car.

Kimmie watched him pull away, her cheeks on fire, and a wide smile on her face. Did that just really happen? She let out a breath as she turned back to the house, and walked around. She pulled out the ladder laying behind some bushes, and propped it up under Tammy's window. Coming over unannounced wasn't the only thing she didn't do anymore. She didn't use the front door either. She could completely avoid Nathan this way. Last thing she wanted was to be caught downstairs alone with him. She climbed in the window, closing and locking it behind her.

The good mood Aaron had put her in quickly faded when she seen Tammy curled up under her blanket, quietly crying. Kimmie walked over to the bed, and kicked her shoes off before crawling in behind her. She wrapped an arm around her, and Tammy rolled over moving closer into her. Kimmie closed her eyes as she combed her fingers through Tammy's hair, calming her cries before hearing her breathing even out as she fell asleep. Kimmie let out a sigh as she made herself more comfortable, holding her friend as close and tight as possible before letting sleep take her too.

Notes

So mad at my internet right now...
This would have been up hours ago :(
Oh well here it is, and you didn't have to wait long for it :)
Next couple of chapters we'll see more of the guys, and their lives and maybe introduce Zacky and Johnny :)
Hope you like it

@Kimmie
This totally made up for the wait :)

First Brian. He's just not use to having to hide something like this like Tammy has. She's had her crush for awhile and is use to hiding secrets and actions. Some of what he does is completely innocent, just trying to make her feel better, but the other he just doesn't know how to deal with or control it. But like I said in a previous comment...someone is about to gum up the works.

As for Tammy turning on the bitch switch with Kimmie, she knows she fucked up. First day back was an uncomfortable shock to her and she took it out on the wrong person. But I think the little pep talk she got from her favorite teacher will help.

And finally Matt. What can I say about this poor broken man? It's going to take some time for him to get over this. The love of his life is gone now and he just doesn't know how to deal. It's not something someone just gets over. Eventually he's going to see though that there's someone else out there that can love him just as much if not more :)

always love you long comments Hot Stuff <3

OK first, I'm sorry I'm "sooooo late" with my comment ;-) :P
Here goes! Get ready!

Brian, my friend, you are getting onto thin ice. Getting in between a funny back and forth between friends? Asking for a HotStuff (don't be jealous of the girl friends man, not cool), checking to hear if you are still hot? Putting your hand on her thigh? HOLDING HER FUCKING HAND?!!?! Brian, you are soooo deep in right now. And you fucking know it. If you really aren't ready to admit yet, you shouldn't even get in everything I mentioned before and try to pretend to be a grown up man who doesn't have a quickly developing crush on his fosterchild. Don't get me wrong, I can't wait for him to fall of the wagon, but for the storysake and the "it's all wrong"-sake... you should at least pretend :P

Okay, I can skip the school stuff right? I mean, she doesn't want to move away from Brian anyway and everything else was just.. well.. maybe she'll make it anyway, but who cares... I have more important stuff to get to.

For the first time this story I kinda didn't like Tammy. She was selfish instead of supporting her friend. I don't really like Aaron, but for now he is nice to Kimmie and so are his friends. I get all the issues Tammy always had, but she had no right to go off on Kimmie like that. That's just mean. I know I know, she had her reasons. I know she's been through a lot, but I still didn't like it. Kimmie didn't deserve it.

Oh, one thing more about the school day... I do love all the sarcastic remarks. But you know... that's your writing. You make it seem so effortless and I know it's not, but just take the compliment, okay? You make it seem so so damn lifely, and I really feel like being there. Like standing there watching the scene. It's amazing.

Allright, let's get to my man Matt. My heart breaks everytime you write about him. I know it's too soon to get better, but I really want it to. I hate seeing him hurt like this. Trying his best over all his grief. I really can't stand seeing him like this. But I love how Kimmie knows this baby stuff. How she so easily gets the baby to be quiet and calm. And what I like most about it is that she isn't solving it for Matt, but teaching him how. But damn, just fix the man soon, I can't take it.
And here's a small peek of the fangirl.. I can't wait for Kimmie to spend more time with Matt and Aiden, taking care of the small guy.

I hope this comment makes up for me being not here on the first day. I'll just end with what I always do.. Please, Please, Please write! I'm begging you, this story makes my day, my week, my life. I want to read more now things are looking up!

Love you lekker ding! <3
