Ch. 54- No Complaints
*~*Zacky’s POV*~*
“WHERE THE FUCK IS SHE?!” a very pissed off Matt screamed at me as I stood there with my baseball bat.
“Holy shit. Shhh. She’s sleeping.” I said trying to get him to calm down and not wake her up.
“I don’t give a fuck! Where is she!?” He said pushing past me and making his way into the living room, “I should’ve known she would be here with you. Where is she Vengeance?!”
“She’s sleeping…” I said rubbing the back of my neck, knowing this next part was going to look really bad, “upstairs in my bed.”
If Matt was mad before, he was now infuriated.
“WHAT!?!?” He turned and screamed at me, “I swear to God Zack I will fucking ring your fucking neck if you did anything to my sister!”
“I swear I didn’t.” I said putting my hands up as I lead him upstairs, “Just please let her sleep here. She’s already asleep and I was going to stay over at your place anyways.”
“I don’t fucking care Zee. Why didn’t she tell me she was here if nothing was happening?” he said as we padded down the hallway.
“Seriously? Are you seriously asking me that? Because look at you man… she just wanted to hang out and watch movies.” I replied as we stopped in front of my bedroom door, “Please just don’t wake her up.”
“I won’t wake her up. Just open the fucking door Zack.” He said thru gritted teeth.
I opened the door quietly to show Kamalei sleeping in my Jack Daniel’s shirt, twisted in the blanket, revealing that she was in just her underwear. This didn’t look good. I glanced at Matt as his face was returning to that bright shade of red. He reached out and grabbed the door handle, slowly shutting the door before pinching the bridge of his nose and turning to me.
“I am going to ask you this, and I swear Zack you had better not lie to me. Why is my baby sister sleeping in YOUR bed, in YOUR blankets, with nothing else on but YOUR shirt and her underwear?” He asked and I could see his anger about to explode.
“She took a shower after we were in the hot tub and didn’t have any other clothes, so I let her borrow my shirt. She had her own extra underwear and she didn’t want any other pants. She wanted to watch movies and lay down, and she fell asleep. I promise Matt, nothing else. Look at me, I’m still fully clothed.” I said putting my hands out.
“Why didn’t you bring her home after work?” Matt questioned as he rubbed his temples trying not to explode.
“I did but you were…um…busy with Val so she didn’t want to stay and personally I didn’t either.” I explained, “So we came over here since it was close and ate dinner and watched movies. She fell asleep not too long ago. I wouldn’t lie to you man. You believe me right?”
He ran his hand over his face and into his hair, “Yes I believe you. I’m sorry. Jimmy came over and said you and her were here alone after she gave me the run-around on the phone and I instantly thought something else was going on. It’s late and shit, and I don’t want to wake her up so can you just do me a favor?”
“Yeah sure. Anything.”
“Can you just bring her home in the morning please. How did it go today at VU?” He asked as we walked down the stairs and into the living room.
“Uhhh… it went alright.” I replied.
“You seem unsure. Something happen?”
“Yeah. It wasn’t her fault or anything though.” I answered as I sat on the couch, “Gena showed up and made a bit of a scene. Kamalei kinda broke her nose…”
“What?! What the hell happened Baker? You said you were just going to have her tag along?”
“Well Gena was being her usual bitchy self and it was alright for the most part. I had Kamalei go out of my office and wait while I screamed it out some with Gena but then she started talking shit about you and the guys. Kamalei didn’t particularly care for that and told Gena that… It turned into Lei dragging Gena out of my office and down the stairs before Gena tripped her and Lei broke her nose as Gena tried to swing at her. Lei is my main concern and she’s fine so I could give two shits about Gena… but besides that, it was a great day at my office. I actually wanted to talk to you about that…” I told him.
“Well at least my sister isn’t hurt. What did you want to talk about with your clothing line?” Matt said after taking a deep breath.
“Everyone at the office really liked Lei there, and she even modeled some of the new prototype apparel that was brought in and she did great. More than that though, she had some great input on some of my newer designs coming out and I was wondering if you would let me hire her to help me out?” I asked him.
“You want to hire her as a model? Don’t you have Krystyn already?”
“Yeah, but it never hurts to have more than one. More so, I think Lei’s talents are more than modeling and she has a taste for what the girls like which could be really helpful. I figured I’d ask you about it because I know she enjoyed herself today and she needs a job.” I pitched.
“She’s going to have one when we are on tour. Kelly and her are going to help Val with the merch booth.” Matt replied.
“I know but what about when we come home? I’d like if she could model some of my clothes while she’s on tour too. Get the word out more, you know?”
“Well if she wants to then I guess that’s fine with me. She does need to have something to do when we come home, but I have a few concerns…” He trailed.
“Alright. Shoot.”
“For one, I don’t want you giving her special treatment just because she’s part of this family, meaning don’t overpay her just because you fucking like her. Two, keep your hands to yourself. Three, make sure everyone else keeps their hands to themselves too. I know the guys in your office all too well…”
“Done. Done. And done.” I answered smiling.
“I’ve got one more thing… her first priority on tour is the merch booth. Your job comes second to her helping Valary. Val had 2 girls drop out last minute for this upcoming tour so she’s going to need Lei and Kelly’s help.” Matt stated.
“Of course. I wouldn’t do that to Val after everything she’s done for us.” I replied.
“Then it’s fine with me… Speaking of Val, I better get my ass home. She’s probably woken up and is wondering where the fuck I am. Bring her home in the morning?” Matt said getting up from the couch and making his way down the entryway.
“You got it. Be safe on the way home bro.” I said as I closed and locked the door behind him.
I made my way back upstairs to my bedroom, Majesty and Icky quietly trailing behind me and into the room. Kamalei was still curled up into the blanket, as I took off my shirt and pants, leaving only my boxers on as I got into the bed, tossing Icky off as he tried to lick her sleeping face. He went and found a spot to sleep curled up with Majesty on the rug by the balcony door. I carefully pulled the pillow and blankets out from her, spreading them back out to cover her half-naked body as I lied back down next to her. She stirred a little and turned over towards me.
“Zee…Where did you go?” she slurred in a sleepy whisper as she reached out for my arm, wrapping it around her body.
Not wanting to wake her up fully or startle her about her brother coming over I lied, “I just went to the bathroom. Did you miss me my Lei girl?”
“Yes I did…” she muttered snuggling closer and resting her head again on my chest.
“Well, I’m here so go back to sleep…” I whispered as I kissed her forehead.
“Okay Zacky boy…” she smiled as she fell back asleep.
Feeling content with her in my embrace I let my eyes close and sleep take over.

*~*Kamalei’s POV*~*
I woke up to a sliver of sunlight shining thru the dark green curtains of the balcony door. Opening my eyes, a smile crept on my face as I felt the gentle rise and fall of Zacky’s chest under me and laid there listening to his soft snoring for a few minutes.
This feels so right. I could wake up here with this man every day of my life. It feels so peaceful. Something I never felt with Micah…
I gently sat up, carefully placing Zacky’s arm around me onto the bed as to not wake him. Icky must have seen me and jumped up onto the bed to lick my face and I grabbed him, taking him off the bed with me. I set him on the floor outside of Zacky’s bathroom before turning and speaking to him.
“You leave your daddy alone. He’s sleeping and obviously by the way he’s snoring he’s tired…” I said quietly to the little black fur ball before using the bathroom.
When I came out, more of the light outside was shining thru the room, so I went over to the curtains and closed them more to seal out the sun. Looking at the clock, it was only 9:30 am and I didn’t want to wake him up after he was so nice to me yesterday. I decided I would make him some breakfast to wake up to, so I quietly made my way downstairs and into his kitchen.
Opening the refrigerator, I discovered that Zacky actually had more food in here than he said he did. I grabbed out some eggs, bacon, and sausage before going over to the pantry doors and finding some pancake mix. After about 5 minutes of finding utensils and pots and pans I was finally able to start actually cooking food, and the smell was making me even hungrier. The stove and cooking area faced the backyard window and I couldn’t help but let my mind float back to my dream from last night as I stared out at the yard.
My dream was intense and had seemed so real, then again they always did which made them so terrifying.It broke down to Matt wanting to hurt Zacky because he found out about us making out. Everyone was here in Zacky’s backyard for a BBQ and somehow Matt had found out. I stood between the two taller, larger, men pleading with my older brother to not hurt his friend. Matt had lunged at Zacky and I grabbed a fistful of his shirt begging him to not hurt Zack as he argued with me about how I didn’t know my feelings. That was when I told him I did know my feelings and that I loved Zack.
“You didn’t have to make breakfast my Lei girl.” His warm breath by my ear caused me to jump as he whispered.
He laughed lightly at my surprise, “Zacky boy you scared me…”
“Sorry. But really, you didn’t have to make breakfast. It smells delicious though. Why didn’t you wake me up? I would have helped you.” He replied sitting down on the stool by the kitchen island.
“Because you looked tired and I didn’t want to wake you. How did you sleep?” I asked.
“Good. How about you?” he asked with a smirk.
Oh God. Don’t tell me I was talking in my sleep. Oh God what if he heard me say I loved him? Oh fuck.
“I slept great. Your bed is really comfy.” I said with my back to him, feeling my face go pale, as I turned over a pancake.
“So, I have to make sure you go home this morning.” Zacky said as he got off the stool and began making coffee.
“Says who?”
“Your brother.”
“Oh God. Did he call? Where the hell is my phone?” I said a sudden state of panic washing over me.
“I think it’s in the living room but he didn’t call. He came over last night when you were asleep. He was pretty mad…” He said nonchalantly.
“Oh fuck! Don’t tell me Gena called him and told him!”
“She didn’t. I told him but that’s not what he was mad about.” He said taking his seat on the stool again.
“What then Zee? God stop leading me on with your casualness…” I trailed off.
“He was mad because you didn’t tell him you were here and he had to find out from Jimmy. Then he came and you were in my bed with my shirt in nothing but your underwear. Which by the way, you are still in pretty much nothing.” He said peering around at my bare legs.
“I don’t see you complaining.” I smirked as I caught him staring at how his shirt barely covered my body.
I walked over to his side of the island and placed his plate of breakfast down in front of him. As I walked back around to make my own plate, I felt a small tug on the bottom of the back of his shirt. I turned to see Zacky lifting up the back and staring at my ass in my panties.
“Nope. No complaints here sexy cooking lady.” He smirked back at me.
“Shut up Zee. Eat your food before it gets cold.” I replied, smacking his hand away as I made my plate and sat down next to him.
“Only if you give me a kiss.” He teased, pulling the stool I sat on closer to him, our bare legs touching.
“Only because I want to… not because you wanted one.” I said before leaning over and gently pressing my lips to his.
His slipped his hand on the back of my neck pulling me closer to him as he trailed his tongue across my lip asking for an invitation to play. His other hand went to the side of my thigh, turning me towards him as his calloused fingers crept further up my thigh tickling me along the way. I felt the smile tug at his lips before I saw it as we broke apart for a moment.
“Ticklish little Lei?” his lips dragged softly against mine as he whispered.
“Yes…” I answered before I leaned forwards and pecked his lips one last time, turning back to my plate on the counter.
I avoided his dumbfounded glare to the side of me as he sat there in what I could only assume was shock. I glanced at him as he smiled and turned to his own food in front of him.
“You are something else…” he said shaking his head with a mouthful of food.
“Why?” I asked, sipping my coffee not sure of that was a good statement or a bad one.
“You’re beautiful, smart, talented, and you cook too. I’m going to get fat again.” He said smiling at me.
“When were you ever fat?” I asked surprised.
“After Gena I got depressed and fat. Then I was stuck on nothing but egg whites and oatmeal. It totally fucking sucked.” He replied.
“Well, if you want I promise I won’t let you get fat if you don’t let me get fat on tour. Deal?” I said stretching out my hand.
“Deal.” He said taking my hand and pulling me to him, crashing his lips on mine.
“You have really got to stop that…” I replied after our brief kiss.
“I’m sorry. I have a beautiful half naked cook in my kitchen and I can’t help it…” He tried to justify.
“Is that what you’re going to tell my brother?” I asked him smugly.
“Hell no. Crazy…” He said taking a sip of coffee, “I did ask him about hiring you though. He said as long as your job helping Val comes first, you can work for me too.”
“Really Zacky!?” I exclaimed, “I’m so excited! I never thought in a million years I would get to be a model!”
“You’re not going to be a model.” He said watching as my face fell at the disappointment.
“Don’t tell me that I’m going to be your receptionist that you flirt with…” I said giving him a disgusted look.
“No you aren’t. Unless you want to?” He chuckled, “I want you to wear and model the clothes while we are on tour, get the word out about it, while you are helping Val but when we come back home, I would like you to help me with designs. You showed me yesterday that you have the feminine touch I need for my women’s clothes. You’re much more than just a model Lei… you are much more than a beautiful face, you have an artistic edge.”
I felt my face flush, “Thank you Zee. I hope I don’t let you down.”
“Impossible.” He said as he took another bite of pancakes.
We finished eating and I grabbed his plate from him next to me, making my way over to the sink to begin washing and cleaning up the breakfast mess. As I stood at the sink, cutting the water on and waiting for it to get hot, I felt two hands rest on either side of my hips.
“Let me clean up. You made a great breakfast and it’s not even your house.” He said quietly as his breath tickled behind my ear.
“Okay. What do you want me to do while you clean up?” I asked walking back to the stool at the kitchen island.
“You could let the dogs out for me. After that, why don’t you get ready to go home. I promised your brother I’d bring you home this morning and it’s already 11.” He said washing the dishes.
“Do I have to go home?” I whined playfully.
“Yeah. Sorry my Lei girl… I have to go in to the office today to work on a few things before we leave next week.” He answered.
“Alright…” I dragged out dramatically, “I guess I’ll go home. I’m sure our baby misses me anyways.” I smiled at him as he turned around giving me a smirk.
“Our poor baby… he’s left all alone. That’s child neglect you know…” he teased.
“Don’t act like you cared last night…” I played back.
“Go get ready you…” He said as I opened the back door letting Icky and Majesty outside.

“Yes…” I answered before I leaned forwards and pecked his lips one last time, turning back to my plate on the counter.
I avoided his dumbfounded glare to the side of me as he sat there in what I could only assume was shock. I glanced at him as he smiled and turned to his own food in front of him.
“You are something else…” he said shaking his head with a mouthful of food.
“Why?” I asked, sipping my coffee not sure of that was a good statement or a bad one.
“You’re beautiful, smart, talented, and you cook too. I’m going to get fat again.” He said smiling at me.
“When were you ever fat?” I asked surprised.
“After Gena I got depressed and fat. Then I was stuck on nothing but egg whites and oatmeal. It totally fucking sucked.” He replied.
“Well, if you want I promise I won’t let you get fat if you don’t let me get fat on tour. Deal?” I said stretching out my hand.
“Deal.” He said taking my hand and pulling me to him, crashing his lips on mine.
“You have really got to stop that…” I replied after our brief kiss.
“I’m sorry. I have a beautiful half naked cook in my kitchen and I can’t help it…” He tried to justify.
“Is that what you’re going to tell my brother?” I asked him smugly.
“Hell no. Crazy…” He said taking a sip of coffee, “I did ask him about hiring you though. He said as long as your job helping Val comes first, you can work for me too.”
“Really Zacky!?” I exclaimed, “I’m so excited! I never thought in a million years I would get to be a model!”
“You’re not going to be a model.” He said watching as my face fell at the disappointment.
“Don’t tell me that I’m going to be your receptionist that you flirt with…” I said giving him a disgusted look.
“No you aren’t. Unless you want to?” He chuckled, “I want you to wear and model the clothes while we are on tour, get the word out about it, while you are helping Val but when we come back home, I would like you to help me with designs. You showed me yesterday that you have the feminine touch I need for my women’s clothes. You’re much more than just a model Lei… you are much more than a beautiful face, you have an artistic edge.”
I felt my face flush, “Thank you Zee. I hope I don’t let you down.”
“Impossible.” He said as he took another bite of pancakes.
We finished eating and I grabbed his plate from him next to me, making my way over to the sink to begin washing and cleaning up the breakfast mess. As I stood at the sink, cutting the water on and waiting for it to get hot, I felt two hands rest on either side of my hips.
“Let me clean up. You made a great breakfast and it’s not even your house.” He said quietly as his breath tickled behind my ear.
“Okay. What do you want me to do while you clean up?” I asked walking back to the stool at the kitchen island.
“You could let the dogs out for me. After that, why don’t you get ready to go home. I promised your brother I’d bring you home this morning and it’s already 11.” He said washing the dishes.
“Do I have to go home?” I whined playfully.
“Yeah. Sorry my Lei girl… I have to go in to the office today to work on a few things before we leave next week.” He answered.
“Alright…” I dragged out dramatically, “I guess I’ll go home. I’m sure our baby misses me anyways.” I smiled at him as he turned around giving me a smirk.
“Our poor baby… he’s left all alone. That’s child neglect you know…” he teased.
“Don’t act like you cared last night…” I played back.
“Go get ready you…” He said as I opened the back door letting Icky and Majesty outside.

I enjoyed reading the comments from the last chapter. I hope to get some more with this chapter. I hope you all are enjoying it. This chapter I'm not too crazy about but the ones coming up are going to be worth it. I have been in a bit of a writing frenzy trying to get the ideas out before my overactive mind changes it or forgets it.
