*~*Zacky’s POV*~*

I glanced over at the grandfather clock in the entryway to my house, revealing that it was already 4:30pm. I had only another half hour before I expected anyone to be here and I honestly couldn’t wait. I love a good party and I love a good party even more when it’s my party. The party almost came second to what I really couldn’t wait for, her.

It had been 3 days since I dropped Kamalei off at her brother’s house and even though we texted and talked on the phone daily, I had been so caught up in my work at the warehouse and this party that I didn’t get a chance to spend time with her. I felt bad having to brush her off every time she called to do something with me, but she was always a good sport about it, telling me to focus on my work and she would see me later.

Now, it was Saturday, and I was ready to see my Lei girl… I was ready to party and have a great evening with my friends. I had even scored some extra party favors for a selective few of us to enjoy.

The doorbell rang, alerting the dogs that visitors were here and I shoved them gently out of the doorway as I pulled open the door to see my brother, Matthew. He was dressed in a simple light blue button down shirt with the sleeves rolled and cuffed at ¾ with a pair of dark wash jeans. I had rarely seen him dress so casual, especially for a party. My brother loved fashion, even opening up his own company that currently specialized in custom made bow ties.

“Hey! Glad you made it man.” I said as I gave him a bro hug.

“You know I wouldn’t miss it. Sorry, I talked to Zina on my way over and she said she can’t find a baby sitter so she isn’t coming.” He replied as we went into the living room and sat at the bar.

“It’s okay. I would have really liked her to meet someone before we left on tour though. Maybe I can get together with her before we leave.”

“Someone? Is that the infamous girl you have been gabbing about for months now? Shads’ sister right?” He asked as I handed him a beer from behind the bar.

“Yeah. Her name’s Kamalei… You’re going to get to meet her. I want to know what you think of her.” I said thinking of her and how much I really missed her over the past few days.

“Why is that Zack? You like her don’t you?” Matthew said watching my face.

“She’s my best friend Matthew.” I stated feeling my cheeks get hot, knowing I was blushing.

“Sure Zack. I’ll believe it when I see it.” He said clapping me on the shoulder as he went off to the bathroom.

Before I knew it, my house was nearly full of people drinking, talking, and listening to music thru the sound system. I walked around the living room, stopping every now and again, saying hi and chatting lightly to my guests. I spotted Jimmy and Leana by the staircase chatting with Joel and Nicole Madden.

“Hey guys, have Matt guys shown up yet?” I stopped and asked Jimmy.

“Why? You waiting for little Lei-Lei?” Jimmy teased, “No, I haven’t seen them yet. The two girls are probably taking forever to get ready.”

“I guess…” I said as I took another swig of my beer and joined in on their existing conversation, keeping the front door visible from the corner of my eye.

*~*Kamalei’s POV*~*

“LEI HURRY UP! WE’RE ALREADY LATE AND I WANT TO START DRINKING!!” Matt yelled at me from the bottom of the stairs.

“Matt shut up. It’s hard being a girl and trying to find something to wear…” I heard Val tell him, “Lei? Hunny do you want me to come help you?”

“Yes please.” I said as I looked at the various pieces of clothing strewn across the bed and pulled at my hair.

Val came into the room, a caring and warm look on her face as she saw my panic at trying to pick an outfit.

“I don’t know Val… Is it hot? Is it cold? Should I wear a dress? Is that too dressy?” I rambled on as I touched different layouts of clothes, showing her.

“Lei, calm down. It’s just a party at Zacky’s. You’re not Cinderella at the ball… Why are you so nervous?” Val said as she began picking things out and placing them together.

I watched her for a moment before shaking my head and answering her, “I get nervous at parties where I don’t know people… Plus… it’s…”

“It’s Zacky. He doesn’t care what you wear hunny. He likes you and there is no changing that. Now take a deep breath.” Val said smiling at me.

I took a deep breath, “Yeah I shouldn’t worry so much. I never cared before if anyone liked me or not, so why start now…”

“That’s the spirit. Now, how about this?” Val said laying down a nice pair of black skinny jeans, an off-white strapless top that flowed out on the bottom with rhinestones along the neckline, and a pair of cute black high heel booties.

“I love it… Oh and I can wear this with it…” I said rushing over to my closet and pulling out my black leather jacket that Jimmy bought me the second day I was here.

Val nodded before grabbing the door handle, “Perfect. Now get dressed before your brother loses his mind.”

I got dressed as fast as possible, looking at myself in the large vanity mirror. I brushed my hair, deciding to leave it down and applied my black eyeliner. I grabbed my phone tossing it in my small black cross body purse with my wallet. Doing a once over in the mirror, I smiled, grabbed Baby from the bed and gave him a kiss for good luck tonight and headed out of my bedroom.

“Kamalei! Let’s gooooo!!!” Matt yelled again, his back turned to the stairs as I started coming down them.

“Shut up! I’m ready. What do you think?” I told him as Val smiled and nodded in approval.

He turned around and stared at me for a second, “Holy shit Lei. You look really nice.”

“So it was worth the wait?” I smirked at him.

“I guess so. I get to show up with two beautiful ladies on my arm… I’d say that’s a win.” He said grabbing his keys from the table by the door.

We got in Matt’s SUV and headed over to Zacky’s house. I could feel butterflies in my stomach as I stared out the window. I hadn’t seen Zacky in a few days and even though I played off like it didn’t bother me that he was so busy, I was truly dying inside to see his emerald eyes again. I tugged at the hem of my top as we pulled up a few houses down from Zacky’s. Cars lined the street and I could feel my nervousness starting to take hold of me as I began to shake involuntarily. Val and Matt both got out of the car, Matt coming over and opening my door, extending a hand out to help me out. I looked up at him in the evening glow, the sun not quite settled over the horizon yet.

“You alright Lei?” He asked me concern washing over his face as he bent down to my level.

“Uh… yeah. I think so.” I stammered.

Val came on the other side of my brother, “Come on hot stuff. Let’s go party!” she winked.

“Okay.” I said still a little unsure as I took my brother’s hand and got out of the car.

We all walked down the sidewalk towards Zacky’s house, Val and I linked arms with Matt in between us. As we got to the door, Val let go of Matt and came over to me, pulling me away from him.

“You look fantastic girl. He’s going to die at how hot you look baby.” Val said tucking a loose strand of my hair behind my ear, “Now then, smile and let’s make an entrance.”

We rejoined Matt and he looked down at me as if to ask if I was ready and I nodded yes to him. I could hear the music playing inside the house from down the block, but as he opened the door to the house I had a rush of emotions overcome me as the volume increased.

“WE’RE HERE MOTHERFUCKERS!!” Matt screamed over the music as he ushered Val and I inside.

I quickly scanned the room as I tightened my grip on my brother’s large bicep, looking for Zacky but I couldn’t find him. I looked down at the ground as I clutched onto my brother for dear life, desperately trying not to shake too much. He greeted a few people before pulling his arm away from me, causing me to begin panicking even though he was right there with me still. He gently placed his hand on the small of my back and pushed me gently forward as he introduced me to two men covered in tattoos.

“…and this is my baby sister, Kamalei. She’s living with me and Val now. She’ll be on tour with us next week.” Matt told the men, “Kamalei, this is Benji and Billy from Good Charlotte. You know of them right?”

“Yes. It’s nice to meet you guys. I’ve been listening to you guys for a long time…” I told them shyly.

“It’s nice to meet you too Kamalei.” Benji smiled.

“You can call me Lei.” I smiled back.

“Well, it’s nice to meet you too Lei. It’s always nice to meet a new old school fan. You look really nice tonight.” Billy replied.

“Thank you.” I said feeling my face heat up at his compliment as I played with the hem of my shirt again.

“My little Lei-Lei!! There you are!!” I heard Jimmy yell from across the room before I felt him pick me up and spin me around.

“Jimby! Big brother, I missed you! Where’s Leana?” I asked as he sat me down.

“Over there. Zacky is looking for you though.” Jimmy smiled as he pointed to Leana waving by the staircase.

“Oh really now? What does Baker want?” Billy asked curiously.

“His best friend Lei-Lei!” Jimmy squealed before running off back to Leana.

That was when I noticed that I was left alone with Benji and Billy, Matt and Val moving on into the rest of the party. I started to feel my hands get clammy as my nerves took hold of my body.

Suddenly, Billy grabbed my hand in his smiling at me, “Come on then. Let’s go find Zack.”

I nodded as Billy began pulling me behind him thru the party and out into the backyard. Zacky had put up white Christmas lights and paper lanterns everywhere to illuminate the backyard in the cool California evening air. We stood on the patio just outside of the door when I spotted Zacky talking with another heavily tattooed guy. The guy he was talking to stopped his conversation, seeing me staring, and nodded over to me.

“I’ll be right back…” Zacky told him before turning to me opening his arms wide as he came closer.

Before he could get all the way over to me, I let go of Billy’s hand and ran to him, jumping up in his outstretched arms. He spun us around as he hugged me tight around the waist. I had my arms wrapped around his neck as I giggled, taking in his scent of cologne and cigarettes, feeling instantly at ease by being in his presence.

“I missed you my Lei girl.” He said after setting me down and looking into my eyes.

“I missed you too my Zacky boy.” I said quietly.

“I see you’ve already met Billy. Did you just get here?” He asked me as Billy came over to where we were standing.

“Yeah. Sorry I was taking a while to pick out what to wear. I hope I’m not overdressed.” I said looking down at my flowy top as it blew in the wind.

“If anything we are all underdressed. You look beautiful, like always.” Zacky replied kissing my cheek softly, “I’m just glad you’re here.”

“And who is this gorgeous lady Zack?” the man Zacky was talking with before asked as he joined us.

“This is Shads’ sister, Kamalei.” Zack replied, “Lei, this is Austin Carlile. He’s the frontman of the band Of Mice and Men.”

“I saw you guys play the day I found Matt and the guys. You guys are pretty awesome. You can just call me Lei. It’s really nice to meet you.” I smiled as I felt Zacky’s hand on the small of my back.

“Well thanks, it’s nice to meet you Lei. Must be pretty hard being Matt’s little sister…” Austin replied.

“Yeah, you have no idea…” I said as I felt Zacky’s hand leave my back.

I turned around to see my brother holding Zacky’s hand away from me and looking at him with a raised eyebrow and stern face.

“Lei, come with me for a minute please.” Matt said trying to hide his anger as he let go of Zacky.

I followed him to the side of the house, looking over my shoulder at Zacky pleading with my eyes for him to save me. On the side of the house he turned to me and crossed his arms over his chest.

“I know that this is a party and I know that you are nervous with all the new faces, but I want you to remember that we are all here. I’m here and so is Jimmy, Brian, and Johnny.” He said.

“Okay, I know that Matt. Why are you telling me this?” I asked getting irritated with his ‘beat around the bush’ attitude.

“Because, I don’t want anything to happen to you. I know the last party you went to bad things happened and I don’t want that to happen again. I love you and I am worried when I leave you alone for 2 minutes and I see Zacky with his hands all over you.”

“He didn’t have his hands all over me. Don’t worry about it Matt. I’m going to stay by Zacky tonight. He promised me I could if I felt scared or nervous. You left me there with Billy and Benji after 30 seconds, so it doesn’t seem like you were so worried then. I’ll come find you if I need to.” I answered.

“Promise me.” He said pulling me into a hug.

“I promise Matt.” I replied into his chest.

He let go and I made my way back over to Zacky, Billy, and Austin, listening in on their conversation since their backs were turned.

“So are you two like together or something?” Austin asked.

“No… we’re just really close. She’s like my best friend.” Zacky responded.

“Damn man, she’s super-hot. You better get on that…” Austin said.

At Austin’s comment, I could see Zacky’s back stiffen up and his fist begin to clench before he answered, “It’s not like that, man. She’s-”

“Zacky boy! Where can I get a drink?” I interrupted as I wrapped my hands around his bicep.

“Come on, I’ll go with you.” He smiled down at me and said, “I’ll catch up with you guys in a bit.”

I could see the darkness in his eyes settle back to his bright green color as we walked away. We went into the house and I expected to stop in the kitchen but Zacky kept walking thru to the living room, looking around.

“Zacky, a beer is fine…” I said thinking maybe he was looking for something special.

“Hold on Lei. I’m looking for Brian and Kelly. I have something special for us… Oh! Benji! Come here!” He called out across the room.

Benji came over to where we were with a younger blonde girl, maybe my own age. She smiled big and I saw her look over Zacky and his tattoos being shown off in his Misfits shirt and jeans. I felt jealousy course thru me as I politely smiled back at this girl.

“Oh, Lei, this is my sister Sarah. Sarah this is M’s sister, Lei.” Benji introduced us.

I curled into Zacky’s arm more as he spotted Brian and Kelly, calling them over. I let go of his arm as Brian and Kelly introduced themselves to Sarah and Benji. Zacky grabbed my hand in his and I grabbed onto Kelly as he pulled us all up the stairs unnoticed by the rest of the party. He opened up his bedroom and led everyone inside, still holding my hand, telling everyone to hold on a minute.

“Lei… If you don’t want to its okay but I have something and I figured I’d invite you because you are my best friend. If you don’t want to then I don’t want you to. I want you to be completely comfortable okay?” He said looking into my eyes.

I was a little afraid at what was happening but I knew Zacky would never let anything happen to me, “Okay.”

We went back into the room and Zacky locked it behind us. He went into the bathroom in his room grabbing a large plate mirror and razor blade, bringing it back into the room.

“Make yourselves comfortable guys. If you don’t want to, by all means this isn’t a forced event. However, no one else knows or gets any so let’s keep this on the quiet.” Zacky stated as he pulled a bag of the white powder out of his pocket and sat on the bed.

I sat next to him and watched him pour some of the powder onto the mirror and chop it up with the razor blade. I looked at Kelly and she looked back at me concerned. I smiled at her and then went back to watching Zacky cut the lines.

“Everyone in?” he asked looking at everyone before turning to me, “You sure?”

“Yes I’m sure. I’m with good people.” I said smiling at him.

He smirked before looking down and finishing up making the lines. He handed it to Benji first with a rolled up dollar. Benji went first, followed by Sarah, Brian, Kelly, and finally me. I took the dollar from Kelly and snorted the line, tipping my head back to make sure nothing fell out as I snorted hard to catch anything left behind. I handed the dollar to Zacky and he finished up the last line on the mirror. I couldn’t help but smile and watch him as he did the line, feeling the effects instantly of the potent powder.

Everyone else got up and started to leave the room, Kelly turning back to look at me, “You coming Lei baby?”

“Yeah. I’ll meet you downstairs. It might be too obvious if we all reappear at once.” I replied as she shut the door behind her.

Zacky had gone into the bathroom, turning on the water and dripping some down his nostril as he tipped his head back to help with any drips he may have in a few minutes. He smiled at me as he walked over and took the mirror from the bed and set it on his dresser before locking the door again.

“How are you feeling?” he asked sitting on his bed.

“Fucking great… Thank you Zee. I feel less nervous.” I said sitting close to him.

“That’s good. I wasn’t sure that you’d want to do any after what happened to you, but I just hope you know that you are safe here. Nothing like that would ever happen here. I’d kill anyone who tried to hurt you Lei.” He said, his rambling giving away that he was high too.

The high I was feeling was amazing and I knew exactly what would make it better. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him. His hands flew around my waist and he pulled me onto him, straddling his lap. There was no asking for entrance to each other’s mouths this time, as our tongues danced between us. I felt him slide his hands from my waist down to my ass as he squeezed it before flipping us over so that he was now hovering over me as we kissed. I moaned and my breathing got heavier, as he broke away and began trailing kisses from my earlobe down my neck.

“God, Lei… You’re so beautiful.” He said between his own labored breathing as one of his hands trailed down my side to the bottom of my shirt.

I felt him softly trace his fingers up my side as he went back to kissing my lips. I tugged at his hair as he kissed me more hungrily this time. His hand was almost to my bra when there was a banging on the bedroom door. He growled deeply as he broke away and climbed off of me. I sat up as quickly as I could and readjusted myself in his bathroom mirror before he opened the door and I could hear Johnny’s drunken voice.

“Hey Zee! There you are! I was supposed to tell you something…but I forgot…” he said.

“Come on Johnny, let’s go. Maybe you will remember with another drink?” Zacky said before I could hear the door clicking shut.

Ok so I was able to get one up today... this is only part 1 of the party and things are already getting a little crazy... What do we think is going to happen at this party?
