*~*Zacky’s POV*~*

Hearing her call me her Zacky boy made me happier than I could have imagined. I was hers and she didn’t even realize it. I lay in the bed with her as she quietly slept gripping onto my shirt. At one point I wanted to get something to drink and tried to escape causing her to only grasp on tighter. Letting her rest was more important as I knew that the nurses would probably be running tests on her all night keeping her up.

I hope she can leave tomorrow. There is still so much to do before we leave Maui. The girls need to pack up their things. We are going to have to take Lei back to the house we found her nearly dead in. I don’t know how well that’s going to go over.

I looked down at my hand that Val had bandaged for me after I had crushed the glass in it. It was a little tender still, but more importantly it reminded me of what I was going to do to Micah when I caught up to him. I had never been so hell bent on revenge as I was when it came to this guy.

Micah, when I find you, you will pay. You will pay for every broken bone, every bruise, every cut and scratch, every drug, and every hurtful thing you have ever said or done to MY KAMALEI. I’m Zacky fucking Vengeance and I’m coming for you fucker. Your time is coming you bastard.

“Zee. Are you alright?” Kamalei said quietly looking up at me.

“Yeah. I’m fine.” I lied.

“Zacky you’re shaking. Your eyes are dark again too. Why are you mad?” she asked attempting to sit up in the bed.

I helped her sit up gently trying not to cause her any pain, “I was just thinking about stuff. I’m sorry to wake you up.”

“It’s okay. I’m more worried about you.” She replied.

“Did you say my eyes are dark again?” I asked her thinking about what she had just said.

“Yeah. I first noticed it that night at the club. You got mad at the guy and your eyes turned almost black. They’re almost like that now. That’s how I can tell you’re mad.” She answered.

I rubbed the back of my neck, “Oh, I didn’t think anyone noticed that. My eyes change color sometimes.”

“So why are you mad Zee?” she questioned.

“I was thinking of what I’m going to do to Micah when I find him. He makes me so mad just by the sound of his name. I don’t even know what this fucker looks like but I’ll fucking kill him when I see him.” I said through gritted teeth trying to keep myself together.

“Zacky, you can’t do that. I know you guys want to but you just can’t.” she said looking down at her casted hand.

“What do you mean we can’t? We are and it’s happening. He’s getting what’s coming to him. Every piece of you he hurt we are going to hurt on him. I’ll do it fucking personally if I have to.” I said raising my voice.

“You can’t Zee. I can’t have all of you guys in jail. Kelly and I couldn’t bail you guys out. Val would be so mad at you guys too. You can’t Zee.” She replied calmly.

“Who said anything about getting caught? No one knows us here. We’re going to catch him and beat him to a pulp.” I said clenching my bandaged hand into a fist.

She looked at me and sighed heavily realizing that I wasn’t going to give up.

“Zack. If you are going to do this, you can’t do this alone. You’re going to need more than just my brother and the guys to help you. If you are serious about this, you have to include me in this.” She stated.

“No way. I’m not putting you in harm’s way again. Matt will never go for it either.”

“He doesn’t have a choice and neither do you. You will never find him without me. Kelly doesn’t even know where to look. How long are you guys staying?” she asked me.

“We were supposed to stay for 2 weeks, but now I’m sure Matt’s going to push it back so you can heal some more before we go to California. You are supposed to be our tour guide you know?” I joked.

“Yeah I know. Sorry about that. It looks like I’m hung up for a little bit.” She smirked back at me as she patted her casted leg.

“Well if you are going to help us find him, you know you are going to have to wait it out for at least 2 weeks right? Your brother is not going to be happy about this. While we wait for you to heal up, are you going to show us around?” I asked.

“As much as I can. I wanted to take you to the beach. I promised I would and you waited for me.” She said as her cheeks turned a rosy color.

“I would wait forever if I had to. I don’t want to break my promise to you.” I told her looking down at my feet.

She put her hand on my cheek softly, “Oh my sweet…”

RING. RING.

Fucking seriously. I wanted to hear her say those few words so bad. Son of a bitch.

My phone interrupted her as I pulled it out of my pocket. Matt. I didn’t think it was that late already.

“Hey man. Sorry. I’ll be down in a minute.” I told him.

“Hurry up Vengeance.” Was all he replied.

I shut the phone and slipped it back into my pocket, “Sorry about that. What were you gonna say?”

She looked down at the blankets covering her, “Oh, nothing. You better go before my brother gets mad.”

I tipped her chin up to look at me, “Are you sure you don’t want to tell me?”

She turned her face away, “Yeah. You guys gonna come see me after you eat? I’d like to say goodnight to you.”

Goodnight? To me? Does she mean to all of us or just me?

“I hope so. It might be past the visiting hours, but I’ll try. If not, I’ll call you okay my little Lei girl?” I told her.

“Okay. Have a fun time. I wish I could go eat too. I know the food here sucks.”

“Hopefully tomorrow you will be free of this place and you can show us your favorite place to eat.” I reassured her.

“I can’t wait to get out of here and have fun. You better go Zee.” She said.

“Alright my little Lei girl… I’ll see you later ok. Get some sleep.” I said hugging her to me one more time before getting off the bed and out of the room.

As I passed the window she put her hand up and waved to me and I could see a tear falling down her cheek. Matt was calling again as I made my way down the elevator and outside.

“What the fuck took you so long?” Matt yelled from the back of Kelly’s truck.

“He was probably sleeping with your sister bro!” Johnny sniggered.

Matt leaned over and punched him in the arm, “Shut up short shit.”

“Yeah fuck off.” I called out to him annoyed.

“Oooh. Someone is in a pissy mood.” Johnny shot back at me.

This time I punched him. It was mildly satisfying.

“So, how’s little Lei-Lei?” Jimmy asked.

“She’s sad. I think she started crying when I left. She wants us to come back after dinner. I told her if it’s past visiting hours I’d call.” I told them.

“YOU’D CALL??” Matt looked at me wildly.

“Well… All of us.” I said looking down.

“Oh. Is that what you meant?” Matt asked suspiciously.

“Yeah man. She’s been up for a day and she’s ready to get out already.” I said trying to get Matt off my ass.

“I want Lei-Lei to be free with us!” Jimmy cried out putting his hands out into the air.

“She wants to play tour guide with us still too.” I told Matt.

His brow furrowed, “We’ll see about that. She needs to heal up. We can’t take her back to Cali all completely busted. We’re going to have to have a longer vacation guys.”

“YAY!” Brian called from inside the cab of the truck as we pulled up to the restaurant.

We all stood outside by Kelly’s truck smoking our cigarettes after our meal. ‘Local food’ as they called it, was delicious and I wished we had more of it at home in California.

I wonder if Kamalei and Kelly can cook this food when we go back… If they can, I am going to be so fucking fat.

“What time is it?” Johnny asked me.

I looked at my phone, “8:30”

“Shouldn’t you be calling Lei? It’s too late to go back to the hospital.” Johnny mentioned to me.

“Yeah. I better. I hope she isn’t as sad anymore.” I replied as I found the number to the hospital room she was in.

RING. RING. RING.

“Hello?” she softly answered.

“Hey my Lei girl. Did I wake you up?” I asked quietly as I turned and walked away from the group.

Matt watched as I stepped away from the truck and began pacing around on the phone.

“No. I’m just tired. They keep coming in and doing blood work and running tests. I was just watching some crap on tv waiting for you to call or come back.” She replied.

“I’m sorry they won’t leave you alone. I wish I..uh, we could come back and tell them to leave you to get some sleep.” I corrected myself.

“I wish you guys could too.” She said before getting really quiet.

“Is that my sister?” Matt walked up to me and asked.

“Yeah. Hang on.” I said as I handed him the phone.

“Baby girl, how you feeling?” Matt asked her as he put her on speaker phone.

“I’m alright. Just tired like I was telling Zee, they keep doing tests and I can’t get any sleep.” She said.

“I’m sorry my little Lei-Lei. Do you want big brother Jimmy to come and beat them down?” Jimmy chimed in.

She giggled a little, “Ow… ow… no Jimmy, it’ll be okay. If they don’t do the tests now I will have to stay longer and I don’t want that and I’m sure you don’t either.”

“None of us want that. We want you to come be our tour guide and have some fun with us.” Brian said.

“Me too. I miss you guys so much.” She said and I heard her sniffle a little.

“We love you Lei. Get some rest alright.” Johnny said to her.

“I love you guys too. Can I talk to Zacky please?” she asked.

I took the phone back from Matt and turned the speaker off as I took a few steps away from everyone, “Lei, are you alright?”

“I just… I just wish you guys could come back tonight…” she said before she started to cry.

“It’s alright Lei. I’ll come over there first thing in the morning as soon as they’ll let me ok? I’m sorry Lei… don’t cry.” I told her.

Listening to her crying is killing me. I can’t stand it to have her cry. Especially over us.

“I don’t want to have to be here anymore. I don’t want to sleep here alone.” She said between her sobs.

“I know… shhh… don’t cry Lei. Please don’t cry. It will be ok. I promise. I promise I will be there first thing. I’ll bring you breakfast and everything.” I pleaded with her.

“Alright. I just wish you were here now.” She replied trying to stifle her crying.

“Me too my Lei girl. Me too. Try and get some sleep tonight and I’ll be there before you know it.” I said.

She’s breaking my heart with her crying.

“Ok my Zacky boy. I’ll try. I miss you guys.” She said.

“We miss you too Lei. We love you.” I told her.

“I love you guys too. I can’t wait to see you in the morning.”

“Neither can I. Sweet dreams my little Lei girl.” I said quietly to her.

“Goodnight my sweet, sweet, Zacky boy.” She whispered into the phone.

I hung up the phone and turned around to the rest of the group. Everyone had a big cheeky grin on their faces. Everyone except for Matt who had a hardened glare. We all jumped into the truck and headed back to Kelly’s house for the night.

“Don’t overstep your boundaries Zack.” Matt muttered sternly to me as we walked up the driveway into the house.

“What the fuck is that supposed to mean?!” I snapped back at him.

I'm not in the fucking mood man. I just had to listen to her cry on the phone not wanting to be alone and I can't do shit about it. What now Matt? What did I do this time?!

“I told you not to fucking push it with her. She just lost her baby and she doesn’t need to be thinking about making another one with ANYONE ANYTIME soon.” He said angrily.

“I’m not fucking pushing shit on her. You’re fucking losing it.” I said as I brushed past him into the house.

“What did you just say to me?! I’m fucking losing it?! Damn fucking straight I’m fucking losing it Zack! What the fuck is with the fucking pet names?! I told you to leave it alone with her!” Matt yelled at me from the front door.

“You have no fucking idea what’s going on Matt!” I screamed back at him.

Now you’re fucking pissing me off Matt.

“OH REALLY!? Well WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON ZACK!?” He yelled, getting into my face.

“That’s just the way we talk to each other! We always talk like that! I’m not pushing shit on her. I fucking know she’s having probably the hardest time in her fucking life, and I’m just trying to be her friend and be there for her!” I shouted.

“YEAH SURE ZACK! You’re just trying to be her new fucking BOY friend! I told you to back the fuck off her!” He said pissed off and I noticed him balling up his fists.

Brian stepped in between us, “OK! I think everyone needs to take a break!” he said as he pushed me down the hall towards the back bedroom.

“Matthew, that was unnecessary.” Val said to him from the hallway, “They’re just friends. They’re just close is all. You don’t have a problem with Jimmy calling her names.”

“It’s different Val.” Matt gritted.

I pushed past Brian back to the living room, “Matt, look, I’m not trying to push your sister into anything. I’m not trying to piss you off either. If you want me to back off, I will.”

“Please do.” He muttered not bothering to look at me.

Ok so I feel like the last chapter kinda sucked and I'm super sorry about no chapter for the past 4 days. That's really not like me, but reality has been coming down on me. Anyways, I hope you all like this chapter because I really liked writing this one for some reason. Lots of emotions maybe? Not sure but please let me know what you all think!
