Ch. 13- Remembering Last Night...
*~*Matt's POV*~*
I woke up in my bed, but don't remember even coming home. I rolled over to see Val still sleeping softly and looked onto the bedside table seeing it was 9 am. I sat up, instantly regretting the decision to do so as my head began pounding, the room spinning. I staggered out of bed and into the bathroom finding the aspirin and drinking 3 glasses of water, trying to remember last night.
What the hell happened last night? I remember yelling at Kamalei. Why though? I remember her yelling at me too. For some reason I yelled at Zacky too. I know we went to Johnny's for dinner and drinks and then I took all the girls shopping for new outfits for the club. What happened though... Think Matt. Think...
I wandered down the hall, looking over the banister at the living room. There was Johnny crashed out on the couch, with a large stack of blankets and pillows next to him. Much more than he would need by himself. I came down the stairs and looked by the door seeing Jimmy and Zacky's shoes.
Where and the hell is everyone?
I walked down the hall to the back of the house, looking out the kitchen window to the backyard but they weren't there. I walked to the bathroom, opening the door, and again finding no one. The only room left was the guest room. I quietly opened the door to find the three of them in the bed together. Jimmy and Zacky both shirtless with my sister lying between the two of them. Jimmy was face down and had his arm over Kamalei's stomach and had half his body hanging off the edge of the bed. Kamalei was lying on Zacky's chest, curled up in his arms. The memories of the night before came flooding back.
That's what it was! They were practically fucking last night on the dance floor. They were all over each other. I was yelling at her about her boyfriend. She was yelling that they were only dancing. What the fuck were they doing in here!?
"GET THE FUCK UP NOW!" I screamed, kicking Zacky in the legs.
Kamalei jumped up screaming and Jimmy and Zacky fell out of the bed on either side.
"Matt! What the hell?!" Kamalei yelled back at me, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.
"Don't what the hell me dammit! What the fuck are these two doing in your bed half fucking naked?" I yelled, hearing Val come barreling down the stairs.
"I didn't want to sleep by myself Matt. I don't like to. I get nightmares." she replied angrily.
"It's fucking hot so they probably took their shirts off. It's not like they're in their boxers or some shit..."
"I don't fucking care. They shouldn't be in here sleeping in your bed! They could have slept on the floor by you!" I exclaimed.
"What is going on in here?" Val said from behind me with her hands on her hips.
"Matt is flipping out because Zacky and Jimmy were in here sleeping with me." Kamalei told her. "I wasn't going to make them sleep on the floor when there's plenty of room."
"Yeah, you failed to mention young lady that you and Zacky looked awfully cozy together." I said giving Val a better picture.
"Then why the fuck did you wake us up?" Zacky asked from the floor.
I punched the wall nearby, putting my hand straight thru, "ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!?!"
"MATTHEW CHARLES SANDERS! Get out of here now. You need to cool off." Val said pushing me out of the room.
"No they need to get out of my baby sister's bed! What the hell Valary? You're taking their side?!" I screamed at her as we made our way to the kitchen.
"I'm not taking anyone's side. I will not have you wreck our home over nothing." She replied starting the coffee maker.
"NOTHING?! NOTHING?! Val you didn't see them! That wasn't nothing! Zacky had his arms around her and she was lying on his fucking chest! Shit that you and I do! Jimmy was hugging her too! They're half fucking naked Val!" I yelled.
"Matthew. Calm down. Why were they in there? Did you ask? Did she let them in there?" Val asked calmly.
"Yes I asked. She said she didn't want to sleep alone because she has nightmares. She had them come and sleep in her fucking bed Val. Her bed." I replied finally getting a grip on my temper.
"So what's the difference from the night before? They all fell asleep on the tour bus floor? It's a smaller space than that bed. You were fine with it then." She said getting a cup from the cabinet.
"I..I...it’s different now. After last night." I said recalling the dancing.
"They were dancing Matthew. She didn't kiss him, she didn't fuck him. Look, I know it's your baby sister, but remember these are your brothers. They would never do anything to hurt her. You are overreacting." She said pouring a cup and passing it to me.
I sat there thinking about what she said. She was right and I knew it. I got up and walked back to the guest room. Jimmy was climbing back into the bed and Kamalei was on the floor helping Zack up.
"Come on. How's your hand Zee?" Kamalei asked.
"It's alright. I think I need to bandage it again though." He told her.
"I'll do it. It's too hard to do it by yourself." She said grabbing his hand, unraveling what looked to be a piece of t-shirt as they sat on the edge of the bed.
I cleared my throat, startling them, an angry glare from the both of them, "I'm sorry. I overreacted."
"No fucking kidding." Jimmy mumbled from under the covers.
"Look, Zack there's some wraps and a first aid kit in the bathroom. Let Kamalei rewrap your hand. I'm sorry again. There's coffee in the kitchen." I said turning to walk down the hall.
"Matt. Thank you. We're going to go back to sleep for a while after I rewrap his hand if that's ok?" Kamalei asked.
"Yeah, it's early still. We'll go to the beach later. What happened anyway Zee?" I asked.
"Punched a guy in the face and then a brick wall last night." He replied.
"What? Who?" I asked.
"Some guy who put his hands on Lei." he answered.
"Some guy put his hands on you?" I asked her.
"Yeah. Zacky saw him and took care of him for me. I kind of just froze when the guy came after me. I was lucky Zack was there." She stated looking at Zacky's badly cut up hand.
"Oh..." Now I really felt like shit, "Sorry Zack. Thanks for standing up to that guy for my sister."
"I wouldn't ever let anything happen to her man. You should know that." he said wincing as Kamalei touched a part of his hand.
"Yeah, sorry. You might want to check that out. It could be broken." I said as I walked down the hall and back to the kitchen.
I watched Kamalei come out of the room with Zacky and into the bathroom.
"Zack, I have to wash it. It's going to get infected if we don't..." I heard her say as the water cut on.
"Ow. Fuck. That hurts like a bitch." He told her.
"It's almost done. Stop being a baby." She snapped.
"I'm not a baby. At least I don't get nightmares and have my brother almost kill people..." he joked. "OW!"
"Yeah tease me again." she shot back.
I smiled to myself, she’s definitely a Sanders girl.
The two of them walked out of the bathroom and back into the bedroom shutting the door behind them. It got on my nerves, but Val was right, Zacky was too. They wouldn't let anything happen to her. I set my empty cup in the sink and went back upstairs to sleep for another hour or two with Val.

"Baby get up." Val said softly as she gently shook me.
"Huh?" I opened my eyes to the bright sun and a beautiful smile.
"Matt come on, it's time to get ready for the beach. Everyone else is ready and waiting for you." she said getting up from the bed.
"What? Really?" I asked sitting up and getting out of the bed.
"Yes really. Your shorts are in the bathroom." She said walking out of the room and down the stairs.
I changed quickly and made my way downstairs, where in fact, everyone was sitting around waiting.
"Shit. Sorry guys." I said as everyone stood up and grabbed their towels and coolers.
We lived close enough to the beach that we all just walked the block down to the sand. Finding a good spot, we began setting everything up. Towels out, coolers deep in the sand, and the fire on the grill, I was ready for a swim. I left the grill with Brian and stripped down to my shorts and headed out to the ocean.
