*~*Zacky's POV*~*

I tried to avoid Matt after this morning and I noticed Jimmy did a bit too. He wasn't mad anymore, but neither of us was willing to take the chance. He had made his way out to the water and I took my chance to go and chat with Brian about what happened this morning. He shook his head to the whole thing, offering me no advice.

"It's hot as shit. Let's get the girls and hit the water." Brian said taking the last sip of his beer, "Johnny come watch the grill!"

Johnny came and took over as Brian and I went up to Kelly and Lei who were lying on their towels in the sand.

"Lovely ladies, let’s get in. Let's see two island girls show up us Cali boys..." Brian said pulling Kelly up.

She stripped down to her pink bikini dropping her shirt and shorts onto her towel before running out to the water with Brian. I put out a hand to help Kamalei up and she looked up at me uncomfortable.

"I don't really want to." she said looking away.

"Lei! Come on! It feels so great!" Kelly yelled from the water.

"What's wrong? Are you a liar and you can't really surf? I don't really care..." I said teasing her.

She hesitated and stood up. She pulled her shorts off and lifted the hem of her shirt over her head. That's when I saw it. I wasn't the only one either.

"OH MY GOD! Kamalei!" Jimmy cried out from the beach chair nearby.

There was a black and blue bruise on her right side from the top of her torso all the way down her hips to her thigh. It went from about her spine wrapping all the way around to the front of her stomach. I stood there and looked at her in shock.

"Lei? What happened? Are you alright?" I asked her quietly as she grabbed at her shirt trying to cover up.

"I...I'm fine." she said attempting to pull her shirt back on.

I took it from her and took her hand and spun her around to see it better, "What happened?"
"I...I fell. I'm clumsy." she replied.

I looked over to Val who shook her head. I knew this is what she saw in the shower the other day. I know that she knew this wasn't a fall too.

"Lei-Lei, that's not a fall. It looks like you were hit by a truck." Jimmy said.

"I fell Jimmy. I fell down some stairs..." she said trying to make us believe her.

Matt came out of the water and walked over to her, pulling her in a hug, before holding her out at arms length, “You didn't fall. What really happened?"

"I SAID I FELL. Can you just let it go already?" she snapped at him.

He released her from his grasp and I reached my hand out to her again, "Come on, let's go swim."

She reached out to me, taking my hand, "Please."

Matt stared at me and I know he was mad.

I heard Val call him over; "Let him take her. She doesn't want to talk about it. Let it go."

We walked to the water and she stood at the edge, still holding my hand.

For some reason this feels so right. Just like the first night when we fell asleep on the floor. Like yesterday at the beach, watching the sunset. Like last night when she fell asleep in my arms. I remember she called me her 'sweet Zacky' just before she fell asleep. Maybe she was more drunk than she realized. Maybe I was more drunk than I realized...

Suddenly, she let go of my hand and ran to the water before diving in. She swam out further thru the crashing waves before finally coming up. I ran in after her and dove in. I swam out to her, feeling the refreshing cold water. She kept swimming until we got to where Brian and Kelly were. They had obviously had a good night as they had been flirting all morning with each other. Brian assured me earlier that nothing happened even though they slept in the same bed like Kamalei and I.

Brian grabbed Kelly and tossed her into the air as she screamed before hitting the water. She came up laughing and cursing Brian. I looked over at Kamalei and she knew I was coming for her. She swam as fast as she could, and I almost missed her but I was able to grab hold of one of her feet. I pulled her down, hearing her scream out, "No ZAAAACKKK!!" before lifting her up over my head and tossing her into the water. She came up laughing and it made me happy to see her smile again.

"You look so pretty when you smile." I whispered to her again when she swam close to me again.

She smiled before she dove down under the water, and I didn't know what to expect. All of a sudden, I was pushed down by my shoulders, and she had climbed on top.

"Got you Zacky!" she yelled from a top my shoulders.

I held on to her thighs to keep her up. Brian had Kelly up on his shoulders and they started coming at us.

"Oh chicken fight huh?" She said adjusting herself on my shoulders.

"Let's get em Lei..." I said as Brian closed in on me.

Brian and I tried to push each other down, but we realized we were too closely matched. The girls were pushing and pulling at each other until Lei finally was able to topple Kelly off Brian.

"Yeah babe we got em!" She yelled.
