I can’t believe my father. His story is no excuse. Even after Kamalei ran off, saying that Anela wouldn’t let him see Kamalei when she was older. I think it’s all bullshit. Kelly said to have Zacky go and find Lei. I didn’t want to let him as it’s my sister, but she was right. She didn’t want to see any of us, but I couldn’t just have her out in a city she doesn’t know by herself.

“Zacky said they will meet us for dinner. She really doesn’t want to see any of us right now I guess.” I said telling everyone.

“I told you. I know that girl too well.” Kelly replied sitting on the couch next to Brian.

We had come back to the tour bus to pack up our things to take home and to get Jimmy. Jimmy seemed really depressed that Kamalei wasn’t with us when we came back. He truly is like a big brother.

“I want my Lei-Lei back…” Jimmy said sadly from his spot at the table.

“She’ll be at dinner Jimbo. Don’t be so sad.” Brian said to him.

I sighed heavily at how everyone just sat around looking sad. This girl we all met yesterday was turning us upside down.

“Come on guys, let’s pack up and go home. We can all meet at the restaurant.” I said.

“What about me? You guys took my best friend and lost her…” Kelly asked.

“You can come hang out with me.” Brian offered.

I swear that guy tries so hard. Not that she’s putting up a fight either though.

“Alright sounds good.” She said shooting him a smile.

We finished packing up, Brian shoving all of Zacky’s stuff in a bag for him. Kelly did the same with Kamalei’s stuff and handed me the bag.

“I’ll take Zack’s stuff by his house. I got keys still.” Brian said.

“Ok. Johnny’s bar at 8?” I asked everyone getting a yes from everyone.

We all got dropped off one by one to our houses before Steve, our driver, took off to go park the bus in some lot somewhere. Who knows where he was taking it. Valary and I walked into our house taking a deep breath, smelling the familiar smell of home.

Valary dropped her bags on the floor at the base of the stairs before making her way up them, swaying her hips slightly as she did. I knew what this meant. The same thing it meant every time we came home after a long tour.

She looked at me over her shoulder as she kept walking, slowly kicking off her shoes, “What are you doing down there Mr. Sanders?”
