Fake Reflection

The guys sat in their individual cells. They weren't completely separated from each other, just the other inmates. They had no idea what kind of evidence there was against them, and were awaiting their interrogations. Smirks crossed their faces when McNicoles walked in looking very displeased. "Hey you're back. Did you find anything good?" Brian asked resting his arms through the bars. Kevin didn't respond as he walked further in. "Did you happen to find my Blu-ray copy of Big Booty Bitches?" Zacky asked, his smirk wide, "It's been missing for months." Kevin rolled his eyes clearly not amused. "Hey I got that man." Jimmy piped up from his cell across the walkway, "Are you done?" Kevin asked dully. "I'm ready for my phone call," Jimmy continued, "I need to let your mom know she's not going to get her daily dose of The Rev love tonight."

"Cute." Kevin sarcastically said, turning to look at him. "Yeah I know, I'm fucking adorable." Jimmy said with a cocky smirk. Kevin walked closer to his cell, "You're going to look real fucking cute, bent over in prison while someone makes you his bitch." Kevin said his own smirk coming out. "Come on McNicoles, you know as well as I do, I'm the pitcher, not the catcher." Jimmy said with a wink, blowing him a kiss. Kevin's smirk faded as the guys snickered in their cells around him. It wasn't long before it came back out when their chuckles faded as the last person they wanted to see came walking through the door.

Matt jumped up from the cot he was sitting on, and rushed to his bars. "I should have fucking known this was your doing." Matt hissed at William. Boyd ignored him as he looked around at the five men in cells. "Where's the rest of them?" he asked Kevin. "The Berrys are waiting in the interrogation room." he started to explain, "And the wench?" Boyd asked. "Why don't you come over here and fucking say that?" Brian snapped, rage burning in his eyes as he tried to reach for William through the bars. Boyd smirked at him as he walked closer to his cell. "It's probably better this way," William said low, leaning in closer to Brian, so only he could hear, "She'll be easier to get to."

Brian grabbed him, and yanked him against the bars. "Gates! Remember where you are." Matt said from his cell next to him. Brian kept his hold, and got close to William's ear, "You come near her, and I'll kill you myself." he seethed before releasing him with a shove. Boyd's smirk disappeared as he straitened out his blazer. "Let's get on with this," William said as he walked towards the door, "Start with that one." he said pointing to Shadows before walking out.

Kevin motioned a guard over to cuff, and escort Shadows out. Matt put his hands through the small rectangular opening in the bars, so the guard could cuff him before sliding open the door. Kevin walked behind the two as they escorted Shadows to the interrogation room. "You can't trust him." Matt said, not looking back at Kevin as they walked down the hall. "And I can trust you?" Kevin asked with a sarcastic huff. "More than him. You don't know what he's really into." Matt said, keeping his eyes forward.

Matt didn't know though that he did. "Just shut up, and keep moving." Kevin said ending the conversation. Matt sighed, but kept his mouth closed the rest of the way. He would see soon. They all would see soon. The guard opened a door, and Matt stepped in seeing the Berrys sitting there waiting for them. The grim looks on their faces worried him. They've seen the evidence against them, and don't know how they will be able to get them out of this. Matt sat in a chair, and the guard released one of his hands, cuffing them individually to the arms of the chair before leaving the room.

Matt looked at the Berrys, the silent message that it wasn't good clear in their eyes. Kevin watched the three with a smirk. "You guys look worried," he said as he sat in a chair at the end of the table, "Is it because you know you're screwed?" he asked cocking a brow. "I haven't seen anything, so I don't know anything." Matt said simply. "Oh well then allow me to show you." Kevin said, standing, and grabbing the evidence box from the Berrys. "It's not good." JB whispered to Matt as Kevin started pulling items out of the box.

Kevin laid out the photos that Kimmie took at the ocean. Matt hid his worry well as he studied the photos. "Care to explain this?" Kevin asked. "They're fake." Matt said pretending to shrug them off. How the hell did they get those. Kevin let out a sarcastic laugh. "And this?" he asked standing, and turning on the video camera hooked up to a TV. Matt watched the video of the night they took care of Lloyd, doing well at keeping cool. "Where'd you get this huh?" he asked turning the questions around, "Boyd give them to you to get rid of me?" It was the only explanation he had. Who else could have taken those? Boyd had to have someone following him too.

Kevin smirked crossing his arms, "So what if he did?" he asked playing along, knowing exactly how he got this. "It's fake," Matt lied, "He's just using you," Matt said, connecting their gazes, "Tell me something McNicoles. How's it feel to be his puppet?" Matt asked with his own smirk. Kevin remained unfazed, and pulled out his phone. He opened his email, and stood moving his seat right next to Shadows before sitting back down. Matt's eyes went wide when he saw the image on the screen. How the hell did he get that? "See you're wrong about that." Kevin said as Matt gazed at the picture of William and Demarco.

Matt's eyes met Kevin's again with confusion, "How did you get that?" Kevin smirked, tucking his phone away, knowing exactly what he was about to do. "Well I could make you wait to find out at your trial, but I really wanna see the look on your smug face." he said pulling two photos out of his blazer pocket. Kevin laid them before him, and Matt felt his blood boil and heart shatter at the same time. How could she do this to him? He trust her. He loved her. He never felt so betrayed. This couldn't be true, but there she was in front of him in full uniform. The picture of Micah almost faded from view as his eyes refused to look at anything but her picture.

Kevin smirked as he watched the emotions swirl in Shadows eyes. He leaned closer to Matt, and brought his voice down to a whisper, "You didn't really think she had feelings for you, did you?" he asked, his smirk getting cockier when Matt glanced at him quickly with rage in his eyes. "Do you think that she would really love a criminal like you?" he continued to taunt, "She was just doing her job," Matt's eyes snapped to Kevin's, not being able to hide the hurt in them, "Tell me something Shadows," he said mockingly, "How's it feel to have my sloppy seconds?"

Matt felt the rage rip through him, and he tried to grab McNicoles only to have the cuffs stop him. "Whoa easy there," Kevin said with a chuckle throwing his hands up, "Wouldn't want to add assaulting a peace officer to the list." he said, his smirk still present. He knew he cut him deep. Maybe once he realizes his world is falling apart, he'll just confess everything. Matt's eyes went back to the picture of the woman he so foolishly thought cared about him. He didn't know how to handle this. He's never felt so used. She knew how reserved he was. She knew about the pain he's been through, and she used it to get close, and rip his life away. He didn't understand. How could someone do that to a person?

"I know this is Kevin doing." Kimmie said as her and Shane finished cleaning up the mess someone had left. Shane didn't have any doubt either. No one else would be interested in the evidence, and that's all that was missing. The two shared a worried look when the door bell rang. Kimmie had a feeling she knew who it was, and her suspicions were confirmed when she opened the door. She just wasn't expecting Jacoby to be with her. "What are you doing here?" she asked even though she already had a good idea. Tammy didn't respond, and pushed past her, Jacoby on her tail.

She spotted Shane when she entered, but kept her face void of emotion. Shane's eyes connected with Jacoby's, and he knew immediately that he was caught too. "Good you're both here," Tammy said once everyone was in the same room. "What's going on?" Kimmie asked trying to hide the fact that she knew. "I think you know the answer to that Kim." Tammy said, and Kimmie felt her heart sink. "Did you just-" "That is your name isn't it?" Tammy interrupted her.

She set the newspaper articles down on the coffee table, and continued, "Kimberly Reynolds, only daughter of Detective Philip and Carol Reynolds." Kimmie stared down at the articles in front of her, one about her parents, the other about hers and Shane's promotion. "How did you find those?" she asked almost at whisper. Tammy smirked, "It wasn't easy I'll tell you that," she said, "Whoever wiped out your digital footprint did an excellent job, cause not even The Rev found this," she explained, "But you know what they didn't get rid of?" she asked, and amused smile on her face, "The microfilm at the library."

Tammy and Jacoby shared a grin, "Once we got there it was really quite easy," she said. "Such a helpful lady working today." Jacoby piped up. "She was helpful," Tammy agreed, "Spoke so highly of your father. He sounded like a great man." she said, and Kimmie fought back tears, "He was." she whispered. "Wish I could have met him," Tammy said before turning to Shane. "Yours on the other hand, I know personally." she said shoving a story of her own in his hands. Shane's eyes scanned the article as the realization hit him as to where he's seen her face.

His dad had told him about this case. He's seen the case files, her picture. His father was so upset with the way this case turned out. It was one of the few times he was truly disappointed with the justice system. "I didn't see it at first," Tammy said, pulling his attention away from, "If it wasn't for Coby I probably would have never even guessed it." she said, and Shane's eyes met his once again. "Should have known I would have remembered you eventually." Jacoby said. "That night wasn't my call." Shane defended. "Relax man, I know McNicoles was calling the shots. He's always had a hard on for the gangs," Jacoby said with grin, "You got bigger things to worry about right now anyway."

Tammy's eyes burned into Kimmies. "You used him." she hissed through clinched teeth. Kimmie shook her head, and stepped closer to her. "No, I wouldn't do that. I didn't do this." she defended. "Why should I believe you?! EVERYTHING WE KNEW WAS A FUCKING LIE!" Tammy exploded, "You got close to him, and you used him to bring him down." she said low, her anger getting dangerously high. Kimmie shook her head, "No." she choked out, but Tammy wasn't listening. "You knew the pain he has gone through, and you used it!"
"No! I didn't do this! Someone broke in here!" Kimmie tried to defend herself. "I don't believe you! I warned you not to hurt him! Do you have any idea what this is going to do?!" Kimmie shook her head again, "No." she let out in a sob as hot angry tears made their way down her cheeks.

"WHY SHOULD I BELIEVE YOU!"

"BECAUSE I LOVE HIM!"

Kimmies eyes went wide at what she said, and she covered her mouth. Tammy let a knowing smirk come out. It was the only explanation as to why she would tell Matt about her real past. If there wasn't something, she would have kept to the story. "Which is exactly why you're going to help me get him out of there."
