Fake Reflection

Kimmie pulled out a towel from her bag before dropping it to the sand. She couldn’t help but feel a little awkward as she laid her towel out next to the blanket Brian and Tammy were on. These people were her “bosses”, and a known “dangerous” gang. It was weird seeing them out enjoying themselves in the real world. Although she could defiantly get use to seeing Shadows like this…as long as he kept that shirt off. Kimmie stripped to her bikini, and immediately felt eyes on her.

Matt watched as the blue eyed, blonde beauty in front of him removed the clothes hiding that blue bikini. Yea she had a rockin body, but when she caught him staring, and their eyes met, he couldn’t help but notice how much the bikini brought out the color in her eyes. He flashed her a kind of cocky, and approving smirk. He didn’t really care he was caught checking her out. He liked what he saw. His smirk turned into a grin when she flushed red, looking away as she quickly sat down.

Kimmie couldn’t help but feel a little excited as she sat down. She was pretty sure he was checking her out. He didn’t exactly hide the fact that he was. Kimmie looked to her left, and met Tammy’s gaze, an amused smirk playing at her lips. “What?” Kimmie asked. “Nothing.” Tammy said looking back to her daughter, the smirk still on her face. God this woman was confusing. Kimmie didn’t know if she liked her, hated her, suspected her of something. She was really quite tiring to figure out. “So, Jena,” Tammy said looking back to the girl that’s caught her bosses eye, “You here alone?” she asked. Kimmie nodded, “Just me and my dog.” she said with a smile. “What’s the dog’s name?” Brian asked not looking at her. He was to busy watching Lilly build a sand castle with Jimmy, Jasper sitting next to her. “Jasper.” she told him, and he nodded. “Lilly seem to like him.” Tammy said giving her a friendly smile. “He loves kids,” Kimmie said returning her smile, “I have nine nieces and nephews, he can’t get enough of.” she finished with a chuckle.

Kimmie was relieved she didn’t have to lie to much about her life. Last thing she needed was Tammy catching her in a lie. She already made it clear she could tell. Now if Kimmie could just figure out what it was that gave her away. “That’s a lot of nieces and nephews.” Matt said on the other side of her. Kimmie turned to him. He was closer, and sitting next to her now. “I have four older brothers.” she told him. “None of your own?” he asked. Kimmie shook her head, “Didn’t you read her file?” Tammy asked butting in. Matt looked at her, “No, and don’t you be a spoiler.” he warned, holding back his smile. “But it’s fun.” she pouted. “Gates.” Matt said looking at him. “Don’t be a spoiler, baby.” he said not looking at the three. He was still watching Lilly, and only half ass paying attention to the conversation. Tammy narrowed her eyes at Matt, and his smug smirk. “You’re no fun,” she grumbled standing up, “Ima go play, and you‘re coming with me.” she said pulling Brian up, and flashing Jena a smile. Kimmie’s heart picked up a little as she watched the two walk away. Was she really leaving her alone with this…this…she couldn’t even think of a word worthy enough to describe him.

Kimmie looked over at Shadows, who was leaned back on his towel, propped up on one elbow, the smirk still on his face. She was half tempted to wipe the arrogant little smile right off. She looked away, and pulled her sunblock out of her bag. Two can play this game, she thought, her own smile coming out. He may have caught her checking him out, but she’s caught him too. She knew what he was doing, laying there in his sexy godliness, and it sent a wave of confidence through her.

Matt’s smirk slowly faded as he watched Jena lotion up her legs, stomach, and almost lost it when she did her collar down into her cleavage. Damn it he wanted to touch her. well played, he thought knowing she caught on to his game. Time to kick it up a notch. Matt quickly moved behind her, and yanked the lotion out of her hands. Her eyes widened in surprise, but she instantly melted when his strong hands started rubbing the lotion on her back. “You looked like you needed some help.” he whispered in her ear, sending shivers down her spine. She wanted to say something sarcastic back to him, but the more his hands touched her all that she could get out was a barely audible “mhm.” Kimmie cursed herself as she gave into this battle. You can have this one, she thought shrugging off his small victory chuckle. She didn’t exactly know why his cockiness gave her confidence, but there was no way she was going to let him win the next one.

Matt let his smirk come back out as he ran his fingers under the back tie of her top, and down her spine. So he was a little over confident, right now he didn’t care. He was to busy enjoying the feeling of her beneath his fingers. “So why no kids?” he asked breaking the long silence between the two. He still wanted to get to know her. “Just haven’t found the right guy I guess.” she said softly. “Maybe you should quit looking for a guy, and start looking for a man.” he said moving his hands across her lower back. “Are you giving me dating advice?” she asked looking back at him over her shoulder. Matt inhaled sharply. He didn’t know why that simple little look back made her look so sexy, but fuck did it. “No, I’m just saying.” he told her. “Saying what?” she asked turning to face him. “There’s a difference between a guy and a man. Maybe you should look for the other.” he said. “And do you know where I could find this “man” that you speak of?” she asked with a playful smile. Matt grinned, and looked around, “I may have to get back to you on that one.” he said melting her with a wide, dimpled smile.

Kimmie let out a small giggle. She was really liking this side of the “criminal” Shadows. He seemed like a regular normal person right now, not like the leader of probably the most notorious gang in the country, and she was finding it easy to be comfortable around him. They slipped into conversation easily. She told him about her family, and things she liked to do. It surprised her how much they had in common. Of course she had interest that most girls don‘t. Video games, sports, stuff like that. When you grow up with boys, you have a tendency to gain interest in what they’re interested in. If you looked up tomboy in the dictionary one of her childhood photos would be there. She avoided the painful subjects like her parents, and asshole.

The sun started to set over the horizon, and people started to clear out. Apparently Avenged Sevenfold wasn’t ready to leave yet. Some of them were working on a bonfire. Christ and Vengeance showed up with two girls that had on dental floss, and bubble gum wrappers for bikini’s. At least that’s how Syndy put it when she made the two girls put something on if they were going to hang out with her daughter around. Johnny and Zacky gave them their shirts to wear, so they could keep the girls around. She had a point though, they might as well been naked with what they were wearing.

The sky grew dark, and soon the group were gathered around the fire. Some engaged in their own conversations. Kimmie looked around at the people around her. They looked like a family, felt like one, and not once did any of them make her feel unwelcome. Of course the only one that really paid her any attention was Shadows, not that she minded. She looked over to him engaged in a conversation with Gates. His eyes quickly met hers, and he flashed her a smile. She let out an almost content sigh just before her attention was distracted by someone sitting next to her.

Kimmie looked over to see Syndy. She wasn’t looking at her, she was watching Lilly sleep on The Rev’s chest, Jasper laying next to them. “She really likes him.” Kimmie whispered watching a smile come out on Syndy’s face. “Yea, him too,” she said looking to Jena, “Sometimes I think he forgets she’s not his.” she added with a chuckle. “Their adorable.” Kimmie said. Tammy nodded, and looked down at the sand, and then the fire. Kimmie could tell that something was on her mind. She didn’t sit next to her for no reason. Tammy looked away from the fire, and back to Jena. “I don’t trust you.” she said flat out. Kimmie looked at her a little surprised, but didn’t say anything. “Don’t look so surprised, I don’t trust a lot of people,” she told her. “But for some reason my boss can’t keep his eyes off you, so I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt. I’m not one to tell someone what to do, or who should be in their lives,” she said narrowing her eyes at Jena, “Just know that if you spoil one of the few good men left in this world there will be consequences, and you’re not going to like them.” she warned, her face turning cold. Kimmie nodded nervously. So much for not feeling unwelcome.

Does it confuse anyone when I use both of her names? I can keep the undercover name to dialog only if it does...Just wondering
