A doctor and nurse Melissa came into the room just as I woke up.

"How are you feeling this morning?"

"I'm alright." I said rubbing my eyes.

"Good. We're here to take you to pre-op." I nodded and they helped me onto another gurney as Matt and the guys came into the room.

"How is she doing?" Matt asked rubbing my head with his hand.

"She's doing great. We're taking her to the pre-op right now. Melissa will take you to where you can wait for her."

"Thank you. I'll see you when you get out." Matt said kissing my forehead.

"Okay."

"Hang in there Raelyx." Jimmy said smiling.

"Don't worry Jimmy. I'm not going anywhere." The doctor wheeled me out of the room and down a series of hallways before going into the pre-op. I waved goodbye to Matt as I entered. The nurses in there put what looked like a shower cap on my head and stuffing my hair up into it. I had to take the top of my gown down and placed a surgical cloth over them. They wheeled me into the operating room.

"We're going to put you under now." I nodded and watched as the man put a needle into my IV and I could feel myself growing sleepy until I fell into unconsciousness.

It's been a little over 3 hours since Raelyx went into surgery. All the guys are just staring at the door waiting for someone to tell us something. The door opened and a doctor came over to us.

"How did it go?" I asked standing up.

"The surgery was a success. We got all of the cancer but we're waiting to see if anymore pops up."

"Can we go see her." I asked.

"Only the parents. Then we'll move her tomorrow back into her room so you all can see her."

"Okay." I said and Val followed me into the Recovery Room. We sat down beside her bed and held her hand. She opened her eyes and smiled.

"Welcome back." Val said smiling.

"I feel good. Whatever they have me on is some good shit." Val shook her head laughing.

"Matt, I don't want you and the guys to take any time off from recording. Val can keep you all updated."

"I'd rather be here." I said smiling.

"Matt please." I smiled and nodded my head caving into her begging.

"Alright alright." I said and she smiled one last time before going back to sleep. We stayed until noon before leaving the hospital with the guys and going back to the house to have dinner. Val's cooking is so good. After dinner the guys went home and I was surprised that Zacky did too. I sat down with Val on the couch as we watched some TV and movies before heading up to bed.

We laid down in bed as the darkness from outside made the room darker than it was. The house was so quiet but it was a great time to just sit back and relax. Val laid her head on my chest and went to sleep fairly quickly leaving me with my thoughts. I can't believe something like this has to happen to such a sweet and innocent kid. She's had her mother die from cancer and now she has it as well. I can't hep but worry about her more than ever. She's my only daughter I have to love and give her things she needs and wants. What's going to happen when she wants to start dating? Boys will not stay with her and they'll call her awful names and I really don't want to have to kick some punks ass for hurting her. My thoughts made my eyes grow heavy and tired and I slipped into a deep and peaceful sleep.
