Chapter 44
Third Person POV:
“Sit tight I’ll be right back.” Jimmy told Tammy. “Not like I can really go anywhere Jimmy.” she said flatly. “Right sorry. I’ll be back.” he repeated before shutting off the computer monitor on her end. From what he could see in the security cameras around the property, they were going to sleep. If they left now, they could get in, and out in no time. Jimmy left his computer room, and went to find Matt, and Brian.
He didn’t have to search very long. He could hear their voices in Matt’s office along with some others. “I’m in.” he said walking in without knocking. Kirk, James and Jacoby were in there too. They’ve been trying to figure out a plan without getting Tammy killed.
The five men followed Jimmy back to the computer room. He has five monitors mounted to the wall. The biggest in the center of them all. The two left monitors had the bedroom security cameras, two per monitor. All four men of Disturbed were in their beds. “Have you seen her?” Brian asked as he watched the sleeping men. “I’ve talked to her.” Jimmy said with a smirk turning on the monitor on Tammy’s end to illuminate the room again. “Can she hear me?” Brian asked when his eyes met her’s on the biggest screen. “I can hear you.” her voice came through the speakers in the room. Tears brimmed his eyes as he lightly touched the computer monitor. “I love you.” he told her as a tear escaped down his cheek. “I love you too.” she said her voice cracking a little. “We’re going to get you out of there.” he said. All she could do is nod, afraid her voice would only come out in a sob. “I say we leave now,” Jimmy piped up, “Dave just went to sleep. If we take this route,” he said bringing up a map on the top right monitor, “We can be there in two hours tops.” he finished. “How do we get in?” Matt questioned. “This door here,” Jimmy said bringing up the sliding glass door entrance camera on the bottom right monitor, “The front door has a few locks that can only be opened from the inside.” Jimmy told them. “Where is she at in the house?” Kirk asked not taking his eyes off the big monitor. “I’m in the basement.” Tammy answered him. She could hear them all talking. It wasn’t loud enough to travel up to the second floor where Disturbed was, but she could hear every word. “I know Zacky likes to blow shit up,” Jacoby spoke a smirk coming across his face, “He got enough shit to level that house?” he asked Matt cocking a brow.
A grin came across James face. “That’s not a bad idea. Kill two birds with one stone.” he said. “Tobin can pick the lock on the door, and help Zack set up the explosive.” Jacoby said as they quickly formulated a plan. “Alright, the rest of us can go in and retrieve her while they are doing that.” James said wanting to get in on the action. “You’re coming?” Matt asked a little surprised at his suggestion. “Hell yea,” James said with a grin, “It’s been a few years since we’ve seen some action like this.” he said getting a little pumped causing smiles to spread across the room.
The truth is, they’ve been slowing down on the crime, and have been talking about retiring out of the life. They’ve just been waiting to find a gang that could handle taking over. One that wasn’t driven by greed, and had compassion for the innocent. Fear was not a way to gain respect in their eyes. Yes people fear them, but that comes with what they do. James smiled as he looked to the young leader of Avenged Sevenfold. Maybe they found that gang. They took Tammy into their home, and family knowing nothing about her just because she was in a situation she didn’t deserve to be in. Money wasn’t a matter to them when it came to an innocent in suffering. Now here they were willing to take out an entire gang to keep her safe. James knew the end of Disturbed was inevitable, and needed to be done. They were dangerous, and were never ones to follow the rules. James has already declared them rogue, which pretty much means all bets are off with them. They are a danger, and any gang in the country that sees them are to eliminate them on site if possible. If not then Metallica is to be notified of their location.
“What kind of security are we looking at Jimmy?” Matt asked. Jacoby had left to find Zack and Tobin, a get them in there. “There’s two armed guards at the gate,” he said going through the cameras to pin-point the guards, “And one at each door.” he finished bringing up all the guards on the right monitors. “Someone is going to have to scale the wall around the property, and take out the guard at the door,” Jimmy started to explain as Jacoby, Zack, and Tobin joined them, “The front gate can be seen perfectly from the front door,” he said showing them the view of the gate from the front door camera, “The rest of you can get through the gate with this code.” he said handing Brian the piece of paper he wrote it down on when he figured it out. He was in before Dave left Tammy in the basement, and had some time to figure needed things out. As soon as he seen Dave enter his room, he made contact with her. “Tobin you’re going to pick the lock so why don’t you take out the guards at both doors,” James suggested, “This way you can be working on the lock by the time we get to you.” he finished, and Tobin nodded. “Probably have it open before we get there.” Jacoby mumbled with a slight grin. Tobin made a living through burglary before he met Jacoby and Jerry. His lock picking skills are something that Jacoby uses quite often. Along with his safe cracking abilities.
“What do you got that will level that house?” Matt asked looking at Zack. “Well that depends. Where is the center of the house?” Zacky asked Jimmy. With a few key strokes Jimmy brought up the blue prints for the house on the top right monitor. “Okay I can’t access the center of the house cause there’s wall there,” he said pointing it out on the blue prints, “One bomb at the center would have leveled it like a balloon being over inflated, but instead I have some smaller ones that can be placed in these rooms,” he explained pointing out the four largest rooms on the first floor, “And one more in the basement taking out the foundation.” he finished. “All can be set off remotely from a distance up to 5 miles.” he added. “Okay take Tobin, and get everything you need along with the things he’ll need to get over the wall. Meet at the front door in 15 minutes.” Matt told him before they left the room. “Jimmy keep an eye on those monitors for us. I’ma go find Johnny he needs to come too.” Matt said before leaving the room.
“How about we go spread the word.” James said placing his hands on Jimmy’s shoulders. Brian wasn’t paying attention to the others in the room, so he didn’t notice when they slipped away. His eyes were focused on the woman on the screen. They didn’t say a word as they gazed at each other through the monitors. It killed him to be able to see her, and not be able touch her. Not be able to hold her, and comfort away her pain. He promised he wouldn’t let him hurt her again, but he failed at that promise, and it killed him.
She would never blame him. She knew he couldn’t keep that promise when he made it, so she didn’t take it to heart. The pain was clear in his eyes, and she knew that he longed to hold her just as much as she longed to be in his arms. Soon, she kept telling herself. He’ll be here soon. “Brian,” Jimmy’s voice broke through their trace as he placed a hand on his shoulder, “It’s time to go.” he said when Brian looked back at him. He nodded, and looked back at the screen. “I’ll see you soon.” he said kissing two fingers, and placing them on the monitor. “Will you keep your slobber off my screen and go?” Jimmy said shoving Brian to the door. A giggle was heard through the speakers causing both men to smile as Brian left. “You staying with me Jimmy?” Tammy asked as he wiped Brian’s fingerprints off his monitor. “I’ll be here till the grand finale.” he said with a smirk as he sat back down in his seat. “If everything goes off suddenly it means something went wrong,” Jimmy told her as he made himself comfortable, “Or someone from Disturbed is coming. I don’t want any of them to see me talking to you.” he said. She gave him a simple nod, and inhaled deeply. He’ll be here soon, she thought as she exhaled.
Brian met the seven men accompanying him tonight at the door. Not a word was said as they walked out, and to the two SUV’s they would be taking. Jacoby, Tobin, Zack, and Johnny in one, and Matt, Brian, James, and Kirk in the other. There was a dirt road two miles from the house they will be turning on, and leaving the SUV’s. Tobin will go his way, and the others will make their way to the gate on foot. Johnny will stay behind with the vehicles, and meet them at the property line with one to drive them back once they had her. Once they had the other vehicle, Zack could detonate the explosion, and they would be home free. At least that was the plan.
The ride was quiet in both vehicles as they made the two hour journey to the house. Everyone focused on the task at hand. They had to be quiet and quick, and hopefully put an end to this all. Zack showed Tobin how to arm the bomb for the basement since they will need him to pick the locks on the basement door. Zacky will be placing the other four. They turned on the dirt road, and cut the engines a quarter mile down. They filed out, and Zacky opened the back hatch to the one parked in front. “Here.” he said handing everyone but Johnny some goggles. “What are these?” James asked as he put them on. “Night vision.” Zack said turning them on for him. “Oh this is fucking sweet. Why don’t we have any of these?” James asked looking at Kirk through his goggles. “I don’t know you’re the fuckin leader.” Kirk said with a chuckle turning his on. “They also switch to thermal.” Zack said pushing another button on the side to switch it. “We have defiantly gotta get some of these.” James said with a wide grin as he looked around at everyone through the goggles. The guys chuckled a little at James’ amusement before getting back to the mission. They put in their ear pieces, and checked their mics to make sure they could hear each other and Jimmy. Mostly Jimmy. He was their eyes on Disturbed. With everything ready, the men parted their ways to hopefully put an end to this once and for all.
