No Pulse Inside of Me

Chapter 43

Third Person POV:
“Déjà vu huh guys?” Jacoby asked looking at the three men he hasn’t been in the same room altogether with in 10 years. “Yea it is.” Chester chuckled as he looked down at the noticeably terrified man tied to a chair before them. “I think the only difference was what?” Jim asked pretending to forget. “Officer Simmons.” Chester played along reminding him. Jim snapped his fingers and pointed at him, “That’s right.” he said. “He was a screamer.” Kirk said pulling up a chair, and setting in front of Jeff. The other three chuckled, and nodded in agreement. “Y-you killed Simmons?” Jeff asked, fear thick in his voice. “Shut the fuck up! You don’t get to ask the questions.” Jacoby snapped at him. Jeff was terrified, and was visibly shaking. He was starting to realize his time was coming to an end soon, and for the first time felt regret for the things he’s done…but it was too late for that.
Kirk took a seat, and locked eyes with Jeff. “Where’s my daughter Jeff?” he asked hoping maybe it would sting at him a bit. “I don’t know.” Jeff replied seemingly unfazed as he stared at the men that would most likely be bringing his end. “Bullshit.” Jacoby snapped. Kirk raised his hand to him, and he backed off a little. “Where did you meet him at?” Kirk asked him. “He came to me. I borrowed from him a few months ago.” Jeff told him. “Do you even remember who he is?” Jim asked with fire burning in his eyes. Of course he did. Dave put her out of work for three weeks. He lost thousands because of him, and he was the only one that saw his face. Jeff nodded, and Jim punched him hard. “And you still sold her out to him.” he hissed.
Jeff spit blood on the floor, and started to cry. He was scared, and weak. “Look at this fucking baby.” Chester spat. “Quit your fucking crying. You’re not dying yet.” Jacoby said. They were going to find her first, and hopefully bring her home, but in the mean time they were going to teach him a final lesson.

It’s been eight hours since Dave took her. He forced her to watch the video he recorded from that night hoping it would fuck with her mind as he made her relive it. She had already let go of it, and his efforts were in vain. Instead he had to suffer through her sarcastic commentary. He shut it off half way through, and broke the rest of her fingers in his rage hoping to shut her up.
Tammy looked down at the broken fingers on her hands. She was able to hold back the screams, but the tears had to fall if she was going to handle any of this. She didn’t sob, but let them silently flow down her cheeks, occasionally a whimper escaping. He broke every one, but her thumbs either by twisting or bending. Dave wasn’t satisfied by the tears. They did nothing for him. He needed to hear the agony in her voice, and she wasn’t giving him that…yet.
Dave walked over to a table with various surgical instruments on it. He picked up a scalpel, and smirked as he examined it. He turned to face her, the smirk still present on his face. “Do you know how long it takes to skin someone?” he asked her as he made his way back to her. She may be stronger than she was, but the fear in her eyes was very clear. “Don’t worry, I’m not going to skin you alive,” he whispered, “that would bring my fun to an end all too soon.”

Jimmy groaned, and rubbed his tired eyes. 12 hours, she’s been gone for 12 hours. He was getting close to finding the location of the call. He hasn’t slept yet, he can’t, not when he’s so close. He was finally unraveling the web, and he was hopeful it would only take a couple more hours.
Brian shook his hand after the last punch he threw at Jeff. They had him restrained to shackles hanging from the ceiling, and Brian was getting out some rage on the man. Kirk had requested that him, Jacoby, Jim, and Chester have some time with him alone, and finally Brain was able to have his time with him. Jeff didn’t bother to spit the blood out of his mouth. He just let it run down his chin. His ribs were broken, his jaw, nose, he was sure one of his eye sockets was shattered. They haven’t tortured him, just beat the hell out of him. None of them wanted to accidentally kill him before they got Tammy back home.
Brian looked down at his bloody, bruised, and swollen hand. He knew he broke it on Jeff, but he didn’t care at the moment. All he was thinking about was squeezing that man’s neck until his head popped off.
Jeff let out pained breaths as he thought back on the things he’s done. He knew when his bitterness started with his first born. It wasn’t her fault though. He despised her mother for leaving when he got into meth. He didn’t want to stop, and she didn’t want to raise two kids around it, so she left. Then there she was on his doorstep. She looked so much like her mother. He hadn’t seen her since she was two, and there she was a constant reminder of the woman that took her away from him. So he took it out on her. He knows now that wasn’t fair to her, but it was too late for him. He came to terms with his death. He made his bed, and now he had to lay in it.
Brian glared at the bloody bruised man before. He never had so much hatred towards someone. Except maybe Dave, but if it wasn’t for Jeff, she would have never been in that situation. He was about to throw another punch with his other hand when the basement door flew open. “I found her!” he heard Jimmy from the top of the stairs. Brian instantly forgot about the man chained to the ceiling, and ran up the stairs after Jimmy.
“Where?” Brian asked as he followed Jimmy to the computer room. “Two counties north.” Jimmy said entering the room. It wasn’t just the two of them. Brian wasn’t the only one that heard Jimmy, and soon the room got very cramped with bodies. Jimmy hit a few keys on his keyboard, and brought up a map of California. “Right here.” he said pin-pointing her location, and zooming in. “More specifically this house here.” he said bringing up a street view of the mansion. “Are you sure?” Kirk questioned leaning in to look at the house on the screen. “Positive.” Jimmy said bringing up the deed to the house and drivers license with Dave’s picture on it. “The names match. It’s one of his aliases.” Jimmy said with a triumphant smile. “And this is where the call came from?” Shadz asked him. Jimmy nodded. “I’m working on hacking the security to the house now. Hopefully it won’t take as long.” he said getting back to work. “Here’s the blue prints to the house.” he said bringing them up on two other screens. “Nice work Jimmy.” Kirk told him patting both shoulders with his hands as a smile spread across Jimmy’s face.

“It’s amazing isn’t it?” Dave asked the girl he now had strapped to a metal table. “How the muscles react to the open environment.” he said poking the exposed muscle on Tammy’s forearm. He didn’t cut the skin completely off, just filleted it, and folded it back. Both of her arms, and thighs were opened. She still didn’t give him what he wanted, and he was beginning to get very aggravated. There was no way she was going to beg him to kill her. She wasn’t ready to die, and she knew that they would find her soon. Hope was keeping her going, and it was still very strong inside of her.
Her dress had already been removed, and she was strapped down in her underwear. An idea formed in Dave’s demonic mind, and he pulled her underwear down just below her hips. “Is that a Synyster Gates deathbat?” he asked with an evil smirk as he ran the scalpel lightly over the tattoo. She met his cold eyes hoping he wasn’t thinking what he was, but she was wrong. With a steady hand, and an evil smile, he careful skinned the tattoos off of her. He didn’t cut to the muscle, he didn’t need too. She allowed herself to finally sob, as he removed the symbols that bound her to her family, to Brian. Dave chuckled as he tossed the skinned tattoos into a tray on a table.
He stared down at the sobbing woman in front of him. It’s been 16 hours, and she still hasn’t broke yet. He was getting tired, and proceeded to close her up. He didn’t need her bleeding to death while he slept. He wasn’t done with her yet. He knew she was stronger than before, but he wasn’t expecting her to last this long. Finishing the bandaging, he gripped her chin tightly, and forced her to look at him. “See you in the morning Angel.” he whispered to her, and placed a kiss on her forehead.
She let her body shake with her sobs once he had disappeared upstairs. The amount of time she had been there was unknown to her. It just felt like forever, but she wasn’t going to give up on them. They would find her. She just needed to hold out a little longer. Her sobs calmed, and she tried to relax her self with the thoughts of Brian. Imagining him opening that door, and saving her. Wrapping her up in his protective arms, and washing it all away. A small red light caught the corner of her eye as it came on in the dark room bringing her out of her fantasy.

Jimmy was in. He had access to the whole system. With a few key strokes he turned on the camera Dave used to make the call. Jimmy was the only one in the room now. Some were trying to get some rest while others were working on a plan. It was easier for him to get in this time. The idiot used the same security system for both houses, and Jimmy didn’t have any problems.
The room was dark on the screen in front of him. He hit a few more keys, and turned on the computer monitor on the other end. It illuminated just enough, he could see her. She was strapped to a table, and she was looking over at the computer. He could tell she had been crying, but there was a smile on her face. She knew it was him turning on the equipment. He found her, and she knew it. Then he heard her, “Jimmy?” she softly questioned. He couldn’t resist, and tuned on his own camera, so she could see him. “It’s me sweet cheeks.” he assured her once she could see him. Her smile got wider as she let tears of relief flow. Jimmy let a few of his own escape, “We’re coming for you,” he said, “Just hang in there.”

I would be interested in a rewrite if that’s what you feel like you wanna do. I would read the new version too, even though I don’t find anything wrong with the original.
