Was I starting to have a thing for Zee? I thought to myself. Of course I wasn't I mean seriously we've been friends for forever that would be just too awkward. I turned off my TV and walked upstairs and passed out.

The next morning I woke up at ten. I rolled out of bed and made me some breakfast. After I was finished eating I got up to go take a shower when someone knocked on my door. I walked over to it and opened the door. It was Brian.

"Oh Brian hey," I said.

"Lex what's going on with you and Zack," he asked straight forward.

"Whoa where did that come from," I asked.

"Nothing's going on between us. We just hung out yesterday," I told him. He looked at me with a doubtful face. "Brian stop okay I'm sorry that Zee is one of my best friends and I wanted to catch up with him after so many years. I'm not letting you take everything away from me," I told truthfully.

He narrowed his eyes. "Since when did I take everything away from you," he snapped.

"Brian I really do not want to fight with you anymore," I told him turning away.

"Well then stop being the selfish bitch you are and just let me explain the other day," he said. I looked at him. I was getting pissed but I tried my best to hold in my anger.

"Okay Brian you know what I'm not mad at you for saying that because you are right I was being a selfish bitch, but now I'm doing something good for the both of us. I'm not getting with you. We're not going to be anything more than friends. We can be best friends but nothing more," I told him calmly.

"Lex just the other day you told me you would die to be with me. What happened to you," he asked.

"I came back to reality Brian. I should've known that you and I could never happen. I accepted that now. I love you and I always will but I think this is just the best for us," I explained. His eyes filled with tears. I grabbed him into a hug. "Brian we can't be together right now. I won't say that we won't in the future, but I know we can't now. I don't know who you are and you don't know who I am. We both have changed over the years," I told him.

He nodded. "You're right. I just don't want you to leave," he said.

"I won't I promise," I said. "I have to get ready for work though okay," I told him.

"Okay," he said. We said our goodbyes and I ran upstairs and took a quick shower. I slipped on some black skinny jeans and my Vengeance University shirt I've never worn. It looked damn good on me. I grabbed my keys and headed to the shop.

I pulled in nervously. I was excited to finally be able to live my dream of becoming a tattoo artist. I just hope I get at least one client today. I walked in and went to the desk in the middle of the shop. I looked around at the black couches. The walls were a dark red with black trimming and there was just a very gothic/rocker vibe to it. I loved it.

"Lexi," a girl with long black hair with purple streaks said.

I turned and looked. "Yeah," I said.

"Okay good. I was beginning to worry you weren't going to come in," she said walking up to me. She stuck out her hand.

"I'm Zoey," she said happily. I shook her hand and smiled. "I'm the secretary I guess you could call it," she said laughing. "You already met Ian obviously because you got the job," she said laughing. I nodded. "Shy huh," she asked.

I shook my head. "No just getting familiar with you and this place," I said.

"Okay well let me show you around," she said. I followed her and she showed me my work station then there was three other tattoo artists’ that worked there and then in the back was Ian's office. It was a really nice place and I couldn't wait to get started.

"I already lined you up two clients today to start off with. Is that okay," she asked.

"Of course that's awesome," I told her smiling.

"Okay the first one should be in at any time. What time will you be heading out tonight," she asked.

"Um I think probably around eight or nine if that okay," I asked.

"Fuck it doesn't matter to me you can come in whenever you want and leave whenever you want just as long as your clients are pleased and get their dream tat. We don't want any bad reviews done on us," she said.

I nodded. "I understand," I said. I turned around and walked to my working station.

"Is that the new chick," a man's voice echoed from the back.

"She has a name," Zoey called back. A tall guy with long black hair popped his head in my area.

"Hey I'm Kevin," he said smiling. He had the perfect smile.

I looked up at him and smiled. "I'm Lexy but you can call me Lex," I told him.

"You're pretty," he said. I could totally tell he was high.

"You're high huh," I asked laughing. He nodded.

"Is it really that obvious," he asked laughing. I nodded. He looked at me and ran back to his office.

My clients came and gone and I did two bad ass tattoos. One was a simple; just a star with wings and a name engraved into in and then the other was more of a challenge. It was two rather large angel wings on this girl’s back. I had a lot of fun doing them and I couldn't wait to come in tomorrow to see what was in store. I packed up all my guns and needles and ink and headed out.

"I'm out for the night Zoey see you tomorrow," I said.

"Hey wait a minute," she hurried and ran up to me. I turned around.

"What are you doing tonight," she asked.

"Just going out with my best friend," I told her.

"Oh really who is that," she asked.

"His name's Zack," I said.

"Okay well I was just wondering if me and you could party some time you seem pretty bad ass," she told me.

"Sure don't see why not," I said laughing.

"Okay," she said. I walked out and drove home.

I unlocked my door and walked inside. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and saw a text message. It was from Zack saying, "Hey. I'm on my way. We're not going to Aaron's tonight." I smiled and texted him back, okay. I touched up my make-up and hair. I heard Zack from downstairs.

"Lex I'm here," he yelled. I walked downstairs.

"Sorry just touching up my make-up and everything," I told him laughing. He smiled and we walked out.

"So where are we going," I asked.

"You'll see," he said with a huge grin plastered on his face. I was anxious to see where he was taking me. It was dark so I really didn't pay attention to what was outside. We finally came to a stop. I looked at Zack. "We're here," he said smiling at me.

"Obviously," I said opening the door. I stepped out.

"No fucking way," I said. He poked his head up. He nodded. I squealed. "Zee I haven't been here since the last time we hung out here," I said excited.

"How the fuck can you not go to Central Park for two fucking years," he said laughing. I walked over to him.

"Too many memories," I said.

"Oh yeah," he said going to the back of his car. He opened up the trunk and pulled out some stuff. "I wanna bring back the old times," he said smiling. I looked at him confused.

"You don't mean," I asked.

He nodded. "We're gonna pass out wasted underneath the stars like we use to," he said with a huge grin. He grabbed my hand and we ran off to our old "spot". He laid down a blanket he brought and pulled out a bottle of Jack and two shot glasses.

I sat down. He poured our shots and handed me mine. "Cheers to reunion," he said. We both took our shot and started off the night.

"Where's Zack," I asked Matt.

He shrugged his shoulders. "Probably out with Lexi or something," he said.

"He better not be," I snapped.

"Brian, seriously? She already told you that you guys won’t be together. Why don’t you let her have a little fun," he told me. I shook my head.

"Matt you don't understand Zack will hurt her if anything happens between them," I told him.

"Nothing is going on between them. They’re just reconnecting damn dude," he told me.

"Something's going to end up happening," I told him.

"Just get over your fucking jealousy dude. Lex hasn't seen us in years and her and Zack were really close before. She deserves to reconnect," he said.

"I'm gonna stop anything from happening between them," I told him. He just looked at me.

"You say she is the selfish one," he mumbled while getting up and walking out. I'm not being selfish. I just don't like seeing Lex and Zack together. I know she's always had a thing for him. I could see it in her eyes. All the times they would go out to Central Park and not come home 'til the morning. I'm going to go "accidentally" find them and stop anything from happening. Where could they be though? I know they're not at Aaron's. It's possible that they're at the park I'll check there first.

I ran out of the house and jumped in my car. Matt was still there of course but I got away before he noticed me. I drove to the park and parked my car.

Zack and I just sat there drinking shot after shot. I looked at him and smiled. "Thanks for taking me here tonight Zee," I said.

"Anytime," he said. I scooted closer to him and laid my head on his shoulder.

"I miss this. Just me and you talking all night long," I said.

"I know me too. It was really the only time I could break you away from Brian," he said. I looked up at his hazel green eyes.

"Why did you need to break me away," I asked.

"Lex you're so oblivious," he said laughing.

"What do you mean," I asked. He just smiled.

"Nothing," he said. I was confused. I kind of had a feel for what he wanted to say but I didn't want him to say it so I dropped the subject. Zack laid down on his back with his arms underneath his head. "Have you ever just laid here and looked up at the stars wondering what's happening beyond them," he asked.

I nodded. "All the time," I said. I brought my knees up to my chest and laid my chin on it and looked forward. I was stuck in thought.

"What are you thinking about," Zack asked. I turned at him.

"Huh," I said.

"You were zoned out for like twenty minutes not saying a word. So what are you thinking about," he asked.

"Just everything," I said.

"Like," he pushed.

"Just how much I miss Brian and you and Jimmy. Hell how much I've missed all of you," I told him.

"Awe come here," he said grabbing me into a hug. "We've missed you too Lex. You don't even know. There wasn't a day that went by that you didn't come up in a conversation," he told me. That made me feel a lot better inside.

"Really," I asked, smiling.

"Fuck yeah," he said laying back down. I laid my head on his chest.

"I'm so glad to hear that," I said smiling up at the stars.

We talked for another ten minutes when someone walked up to us. "I knew something was fucking going on," Brian snapped.

I jumped up. "What the fuck are you doing here," I asked.

"Dude nothing's going on we use to do this all the fucking time," Zack told him.

"I can't believe it," Brian said shaking his head.

"Brian okay nothing is going on between me and Zack okay? If you want my honest opinion, I would rather be with him than you. I've tried to stay calm and be nice but every time I turn around there you are with your jealousy shit. I'm not with you. I can go do whatever the fuck I want. And to prove it," I yelled and turned around grabbed Zack and kissed him. "There that gives you something to be jealous about," I yelled and stormed off.
