After an hour or so of resting we decided to go ahead and get the DNA test. They swabbed our mouths and said the results should be in by tomorrow. I was somewhat nervous but not. I knew the Avery was Zack’s because of her eyes but we just had to make sure.

Everyone came and saw Avery and thought she was the cutest thing ever. I was being checked out tomorrow after we had gotten the results of the DNA test. I was really glad to hear that I only had to stay one day. At about ten o’clock that night everyone had left and I decided to go ahead and just go to sleep. I wanted to get as much rest as possible before going home with Avery.

The next morning I woke up pretty early. The nurse had come in and gave me breakfast along with some information I needed. I was going to be checked out around noon. They had the results in but had to wait for the doctor to get here to tell us the results.

About an hour later the doctor came in.

“Hello Lexy.” He smiled.

“Hi doctor do you have the results?” I asked somewhat impatient.

“Yes I do.” He said opening an envelope. He pulled out the papers.

Zack held onto my hand.

“The results show Zack is the father.” He smiled. I looked over and tears formed in his eyes.

“Thank you doctor so much.”

He nodded. “You’re very welcome. I’ll leave you three alone for a bit and then I’ll come back and we’ll get you checked out and all that good stuff.”

“Okay.” I smiled. The doctor walked out and shut the door.

Zack just turned and looked at me.

“I told you she was yours.” I smiled. He just opened his arms and I put Avery in them.

“Knowing that just makes me love her even more.”

Tears formed in my eyes. I was so happy that everything was coming together. I was so happy that Avery was indeed Zack’s and that he was happy that she was his. I didn’t know what the future had in store for us but I know one thing, me and Zack are finally happy. We have a beautiful baby daughter and were getting married.

The doctor came back in and I got checked out of the hospital with my baby girl. Zack drove us home and we were ready to begin our wonderful life with her.
