Twenty-Five: We're Not Worthy

The party was insane. There were label heads, roadie crew members, fans, family…everyone from A to Z was in attendance at the shindig. I was feeling a little overwhelmed—we’d never done anything like it. Our band was so introverted that the biggest party we’d ever thrown was Tyler’s twentieth: there were 14 people in attendance. It was wild.
Brian had excused himself from me to go and catch up with the men that had greeted us at the door. Jimmy had volunteered to take me outside for a smoke break, I was eternally grateful to get out of there for a minute.
“We’re good right?” Jimmy asked once I’d lit my cigarette around the side of the building. “We don’t have to fight?”
“No,” I laughed, “It’s all good.”
“Brian was pissed,” he told me sternly with his eyebrows pushed up past his forehead. “I thought he was going to stab me. Legitimate fear for my life.”
“If you didn’t kiss me…” I trailed off, glancing knowingly at him.
He nodded, “I know, I know. You’re just so pretty; how could anybody not kiss you?”
“It’s simple really,” I smiled. “They just don’t.”
“Expert plan. I’ll put it into motion.”
“Pretty intense party,” I said, mostly to change the subject.
He grinned, “It’s an intense album.”
“Brian showed it to me. It’s incredible. You’re a master of composition,” I bowed down theatrically. “We’re not worthy.”
Jimmy also took a bow then, “Thank you, thank you.”
“A Little Piece of Heaven though,” I said seriously. “Top notch, Jimmy. Really.”
He smiled, “It’s pretty cool.”
“Tell me the truth; are you nuts or what?”
He laughed maniacally, “I like to leave that up to the jury. I’m not fit to pass a judgement.”
Jimmy’s quirks made me instantly feel at ease. He was so calming and entertaining, it was difficult to feel stressed around him. The silver spike in his chin would bounce as he spoke excitedly and the tiniest lisp would appear to anybody that was listening closely enough to hear it. It came and went—like he was actively choosing not to use it at times. Brian was right, Jimmy operated on a whole other world.
He was too good for this place.
“Are you excited for your tour?” Jimmy asked suddenly. “Now that Brian’s joining the group?”
I pulled on my cigarette, “You guys are sure it won’t be a problem? I’m certain your reps will have an opinion about it.”
He grimaced at me, “You think this is our first rodeo? Please. We cleared this shit with everyone before we brought it up to you. We just wanted to do something nice, ya know? Something helpful.”
“It’s very helpful,” I emphasised. “And very sweet. I really appreciate it, don’t get me wrong. I just don’t want to ruffle any feathers.”
“Whose feathers are you ruffling?” Jimmy cackled. “I see no ducks.”
“I don’t know,” I breathed smoke through my nostrils.
Jimmy looked at me seriously, “Listen, if Brian could abandon us and tail you around, he would. Without question. He wouldn’t even think twice about it. So, let us help the poor fuck while he helps you.”
I felt my cheeks burning, “Okay.”
“Just be good to him, okay?” Jimmy half-laughed. “He’s my best friend after all. If you hurt him, then I’ll have to hate you. I really don’t want to hate you.”
“I’ll be good,” I promised.
The prospect of hurting Brian in any way seemed foreign to me. I’d been so concerned about his potential effects on me that I hadn’t stopped to consider what I could possibly do to him. I’d never been the cheating type, but I’d been known to be cold and unkind at times. I’d have to be conscious of that.
“We should go in,” I said finally, crushing my cigarette beneath my foot.
Jimmy nodded and walked me back indoors.
Brian immediately swept me up into his arms and carried me back in the direction I’d just come. He set me down once we were standing exactly where Jimmy and I had just been.
“I was just coming to see you,” he smirked at me as he set me down on my feet.
I groaned, “I just got back inside.”
“I know. I saw.”
I couldn’t help but giggle. Like a school girl. He had such a way with me that I melted every time he simply looked at me.
“Smoke?” he asked, extending his pack to me.
Even though I’d just had one, I couldn’t resist Brian’s offer.
He lit my cigarette and then his own.
“It’s fucking loud in there,” he mused.
I nodded, “It is, yes.”
“But an exciting night for both of us, huh?” He grinned. “What do you think your band’s going to say?”
“Are you kidding?” I laughed. “They were all drooling over you for one day in the studio—they’re going to flip out.”
Brian blushed subtly which made my heart beat wildly. I loved that he could be humble.
“I’m excited,” he professed to me, eying me up.
I smiled.
He walked toward me, essentially backing me up against the brick building wall. He breathed my air, lingering his lips closely to mine.
“Think of all the fun we’ll have,” he teased.
I laughed, “Yes, I can’t wait for you to see me unkept and unwashed.”
“Sounds good to me,” Brian grinned.
“Hotels have showers,” I noted stupidly, his presence this close to me making me uneasy. “Sometimes showers that are big enough for two.”
“Is that right?” he smirked. “We’ll have to investigate.”
“Make notes of which hotels do and do not condone sex in the shower,” I smiled.
He nodded, “Exactly.”
I pushed my lips to Brian’s, partly because the man drove me wild and partly because I couldn’t stand the tension. He made my knees weak.
His tongue explored mine, his hands found my hips straight away. He gripped them tightly as he brought himself closer to me. I could feel his bulge pushing up against my waist—a small moan escaped me.
“Ahem,” a voice interrupted us.
“God dammit,” Brian muttered as he whipped around to face Matt.
“Jimmy mentioned you guys were into PDA,” Matt teased, “I just didn’t realize it was to this extent.”
“What do you want, Matthew?” Brian groaned.
“Photo op,” Matt shrugged. “We need you inside. Sorry, Blair.”
I shrugged, my hands in the air, “Take him.”
Brian looked at me sympathetically, “I’ll find you when I’m done.”
I smiled, “I know. Go!”
Brian smashed his cigarette and disappeared inside with Matt.
Despite my serious lack of interest, I finished my cigarette before finding my way back inside. The guys were at the other end of the room taking pictures, so I returned back to the table they’d been sitting at. It was mostly empty now save for one woman I hadn’t seen before.
She smiled at me as I neared the table, waving like I knew her.
“Hi!” she smiled at me pleasantly.
I sat down in Brian’s spot where my drinks were still sitting in a row.
“Hi,” I said back.
She was an adorable little thing. Her hair was sandy blonde and her eyes were a wild blue.
“You’re Brian’s girlfriend, right?” she asked with a smile.
It was weird to hear it without having to correct it.
“Yeah,” I answered simply. “Blair.”
“I’m Lauren,” she said happily, sliding down so she was sitting across from me. “I’m here with Jimmy—I shouldn’t say with. I just got here. I haven’t even seen him yet.”
She was a rambler. It was a good thing that ramblers made me laugh.
“How do you know Jimmy?” I asked curiously, sipping at my green drink.
She shrugged a single shoulder, “Met at a bar. We’ve hung out a couple of times and he invited me to this party tonight!”
“I can see that,” I smirked.
“You’re a singer, aren’t you?” she tried to make conversation. “I think that’s what Jimmy said.”
Aw, Jimmy talks about me.
“Yeah,” I nodded once. “What about you?”
“No,” she laughed. “I can’t play any instruments. I’m a teacher!”
I nearly choked on my drink. A teacher.
What in the fuck was a teacher doing with the likes of Jimmy?
“That’s cool,” I lied, trying to hide my laugh. “They shouldn’t be much longer.”
“I’m fine to wait,” she was still smiling.
Maybe she was actually friendly. It was a concept that I just wasn’t used to. Most of us were reserved and unsociable. The Avenged guys seemed friendly enough—but it was different. It was probably because she was a woman and wasn’t staring at me like she’d like to maim me. That, I decided, was the weird bit.
Giving off the impression that I was psychic, Brian slid into the booth next to me and planted a kiss on my cheek.
He whispered lowly to me, “I’m still fucking hard and it’s your fault.”
I placed one hand expertly on his crotch, trying to hide my grin from the stranger across from me, “I’ll take care of you soon. Patience.”
Jimmy bounced over to the table and looked genuinely pleased to spot Lauren waiting for him.
“Hey!” he grinned widely. “You made it!”
“I did,” she giggled. “This party is great!”
Jimmy sunk down next to her and smiled at Brian and I, “Have you guys met Lauren?”
“I did,” I said limply.
Brian extended his hand to her, “Brian.”
“I’ve heard so much about you,” she gushed. “Jimmy talks about you all the time.”
“How romantic,” I teased with a laugh.
“I don’t mean to be rude, but I could really use a cigarette,” Brian said, winking at me. “We’ll be right back.”
“Blair just had one,” Jimmy interjected suspiciously.
“Entertain your girl,” Brian said seriously. “We’ll be back.”
Brian practically dragged me toward the entrance but made a last minute turn down a hallway. We ducked into the men’s bathroom and locked the door behind us. Brian’s lips came crashing down onto mine, forcing mine to part and allow him in.
His hands were already pulling at my skirt, lifting it up to expose my practically bare ass. He gripped at each cheek hungrily, pushing himself against me.
I wrapped my arms around his neck as he left my lips to plant sloppy kisses down my neck. I tried not to moan.
He teased my clit gently with one hand and fiddled with his belt with his free hand. The buckle jangled loudly as it hit the floor.
Brian looked at me quickly, desire burning in his beautiful eyes. I bit at my lip before his occupied them again.
With his muscled arms, he lifted me up and against the wall, pushing himself into me with precise expertise. I couldn’t contain a small moan—it ripped through my throat and echoed against the empty bathroom walls.
Brian pushed himself further into me, his fingernails digging into the small of my back. I bit at his broad shoulder to stop myself from screaming out with pleasure as he ravished my body.
He moved in and out of me, hitting me in all of the right spots. It was difficult to control myself. I let him pound into me over and over—I bit down harder.
“Fuck,” Brain moaned as his hands clenched my hips harder.
He steadied my body so that he could push himself even further into me. I gasped with pleasure and a little bit of surprise. He pushed my body up and down onto himself, his eyes nearly rolling into the back of his head.
With one pulse, I was at my edge. I dug my nails into his back with one hand and made a fist to shove into my mouth with the other. I bit as a barbaric sound escaped from me as I came.
Brian moaned as he came with me, his grip tightening and loosening as he did.
“God damn,” he said into my hair, trying to catch his breath. “You’re the coolest girlfriend I’ve ever had.”
I giggled but said nothing.
He let me down eventually so that we could clean ourselves up. I cursed him for the tiny stain he’d procured on my black skirt. I dabbed at it with water but it was too far gone.
Brian grinned.
“Can we actually have a smoke now?” I chuckled.
He groaned dramatically, “Fuck yeah.”
We walked out of the bathroom, Brian’s arm hung over my shoulders. There were a couple people waiting just outside the door—they looked both judgemental and irritated. It only made us laugh.
He kissed the side of my face, “Coolest girlfriend ever.”
