Shepherd of Fire

Simple Choices

I was bigger the next morning, and found Talarico already chanting over me. I let him do his voodoo like business, my hand rubbing over my tummy. Shadows stood next to Tal, big arms folded.

Tal’s brow furrowed, his eyelinered eyes closed, “Two souls melded into one...inseparable...divide the monstrosity and have peace once again…”

Once out of his spell, he turned to the Devil.
“What the fuck was that supposed to mean?”
“You know I only know so much...however you made that thing...it's going to get complicated. I'll come back once it's born.”

I sat up, worried and confused and speechless. Shadows pinched the bridge of his nose and threaded His fingers through mine.
“Don't worry, darling. You know I would never let anything happen to you or our children.”

I frowned. I was much more worried now than I had been before.

Michael held Aphrodite’s hand as she pushed through another contraction. This labor was only in its second day, but she was clearly close to birthing their third child. She'd been up and about earlier that day, but when she held a hand to her belly at the next contraction, she'd looked up at Michael and told him it was almost here.

He couldn't help but smile wide, kissing her forehead and doing his best to encourage her.

“Now, Michael…”

The large male angel moved to the foot of the bed and helped deliver a beautiful, female baby angel. He cleaned her off and held her in his arms as she giggled up at him. She had one black and one white wing.

As he gently put the bundle in his wife's arms, Michael added in jest, “Anything I should know about?”
Aph rolled her eyes at her lover's raised eyebrow, “It has to do with her name, Adrestia. She will help you retain balance between good and evil.”

Michael now raised both eyebrows, “Interesting.” It would be nice to have that balance back, he thought to himself.

“Diem...you’re huge.” Deiros chuckled as he helped me outside. Shadows stalked behind us, also laughing lightly. Synyster walked on my other side, grumbling to himself. It had only been a week since my visit from Tal, but I was already huge and miserable. I glowered at both of them, thinking my situation was not funny in the least.
Satan’s son, though, had told us there was something we should see, so after he offered his arm to me, we all walked outside together.

As soon as we emerged from the castle gates, we all looked up to see the large flying figure overhead. I assumed he wasn’t fully grown yet, but he was about 10X the size of the baby dragon he had been.

My eyes widened, “Deiros….he’s magnificent.”
The winged creature flapped its enormous span and settled in front of his parents as Deiros stepped forward and petted him. It nuzzled the large hand and squawked. Dimples fired at the being and it raised its head to blow fire into the air. The rest of us clapped at the impressive image they made.

“After considering what you told me that night, I came up with a name and this happened. This...is Exdeth.”

The dragon roared again, clearly happy with his name. Shadows put an arm around his son’s shoulders, the almost-twins smiling up at the scaly beast.

“You're beautiful, Exdeth.”
When I spoke, the creature lowered its head until he was looking right at me. I stepped forward until I was petting its nose lovingly. The enormous hazel eyes looking back at me still exactly mirrored my husband’s, “I can’t wait to watch the chaos you two will bring.”

I put a hand to my growing tummy.
“Darling?” The Devil put a large hand there as well.
“It’s fine...it’s just...moving around a lot…” I fussed, “I’m going to go lie down.” The three of us went back inside, leaving Deiros to explore with his new partner in crime.

By the time I actually laid down, I was much more uncomfortable. It wasn’t like my normal labor pains, but as minutes ticked by--the feeling barely got more and more intense.

“What is it, D? Something’s clearly bothering you.” Shadows helped lay me back against some pillows to help make me more comfortable, “Is it...coming?”

I finally nodded, “I think….I guess so...it’s so different...they aren’t contractions--just….” I started sweating as the pressure and the pain increased slowly. It wasn’t a pressure to push, though, just a pressure letting me know something was inside me trying to get out. The pressure turned from uncomfortable to painful, and was not pleasurable in the least.

I clutched at my King, “Get Tal. This is bad.”

Before He could do anything, Tal was standing in the corner of the room, arms folded and only watching. Shadows stroked my hair lovingly and rubbed my stomach with the other hand, “It’ll be okay, baby, I’m right here.”

I only nodded, before I started screaming and sobbing. I felt like I was being ripped apart, from the inside out, but from the outside nothing was happening. Because I thought for sure something was crawling its way out of me, based on the level of pain, I looked down to find my bump slowly disappearing--even though nothing emerged from me. As my tummy shrunk, I felt the talons of another mind take hold and slowly I disappeared……

Anteros confidently put his hands on the angel’s hips from behind him as the other inhaled nervously.
“I-Isn’t your mother in labor again?” The dark brunette smoothed his hands over the ones at his own waist.

“She doesn’t need me. My Mom’s a total badass. Despite the days and the pain it takes, she acts like it’s no big deal...now...don’t you want me?”

“‘Teros…” Mercury’s eyelids fluttered as the wings at his feet twitched. Anteros had found he preferred masculine men like himself, and Merc was perfect. Only slightly smaller, the dark eyed brunette was tall and strong. His wings folded into himself and disappeared, giving the taller angel permission, despite his vocal doubts.

“C’mon, Merc, everyone knows you’re a little trickster...you can’t tell me you’re not curious…” The blonde grinned deviously before reaching around and palming the messenger angel. Mercury reached back and grabbed onto the long blonde strands as he leaned back against the thick, bare chest, “That’s what I thought.” Anteros chuckled, pushing down his own pants as the other did the same.

The brunette was pushed up against the wall, legs spread, and hips gripped. Kissing across cut shoulder blades, Anteros quickly took the other angel with a low grunt.

“‘Teros!! Uhhh, of all things holy--” Mercury was overcome with ecstasy, leaning back onto the thrusting steel length as he moaned helplessly. The taller one grinned at the response he got, reaching around again to grip the other and stroke him as he whined highly. From the position they were in, Anteros knew the other wouldn’t last long. His dick stroking over the precious spot and his hand stroking over the angel’s thickness, Mercury came with a surprised yelp.
“See? Isn’t it fabulous?” The blonde helped himself, grabbing back onto thick hips and thrusting faster until his own end spilled into the whimpering brunette.

The second after his finish, an angel suddenly appeared next to both of them, casually leaning up against the wall.

“Who the &%^$ are you?” Anteros finished himself off, not halted in the least, and pulled out before pulling his pants back over himself. Mercury just stood there panting, barely standing and clutched to the wall.
“Can I help you?!”

The other was a tall, formidable female angel with long brown hair and beautiful brown eyes--just leaning there with arms folded and a cocky look on her face. Anteros looked her up and down, sauntering closer, “Who are you, gorgeous?”

Flicking his arm away when he reached for her, she rolled her eyes, “Ew. I’m your sister, Adrestia.”
Anteros backed off, his face twisting, “What? You were just born!!”
“Just the same. I’m here to bring balance between you and Michael.”

The taller chuckled, “And exactly how do you plan on doing that?” He pulled on a shirt as Mercury sat on the edge of his own bed, still trying to wrap his mind around what just happened.

The moment Anteros looked back into his sister’s eyes, though--almost eye level with his--he suddenly understood. Without her saying a word, she showed him the chaos his actions would bring--the undoing of Heaven and Hell and the mixing of good and evil until there was nothing left. For moments on end, he only stared back at her.

“Don’t worry, it’s not like Father now has the upper hand. I am here to balance the scales. You get what you want, and he gets what he wants, and Heaven and Hell stay basically the way they are. Providing the angels you have already had sex with keep their mouths closed.”
Anteros folded his arms to indicate he was listening.

“Mercury doesn’t need to hear this. You will keep silent?” She looked at the other, who was now sprawled back on the bed, humming to himself. The multi-winged angel looked over at her, giving her a flirty look and an eyebrow,
“That depends. Do I get to keep doing that, with him at least?”
Adrestia rolled her eyes, “Sure.”

The siblings chatted on their way back home, stepping back in the house to find Michael a little irritated. When the ancient one turned to see his even more fully grown daughter, though, he could only smile wide and look her over, holding her by the shoulders proudly.

“Adrestia, you left the house a young girl. Who is this woman you’ve become?”

The daughter’s face lit up as well, “I oversee revolts. I will always fight alongside you, Father. To constantly keep the scales in balance, often means to fight.” She was dressed in light battle gear, a sword almost always at her back.
“Right now, though, Father, you must come to terms with your son.”

Blue eyes flicked over to meet blue, “‘Teros, again?? What must I do to stop this?!” Michael knew what his son must’ve been up to. He ushered them outside to the veranda so that their mother could continue resting, and wouldn't overhear their conversation.

Adrestia held up a hand, “May I offer a solution? Anteros promises to stop spreading his newfound lust to other angels--” She put up a hand when her brother huffed and put his hands on his hips, “But in turn you teach him how to go to Hell whenever he wishes, so he can bed whoever he wants there.”

Michael’s brow furrowed, but as he considered it, he realized it was better than anything he had at the moment, “On one condition.”
“And what’s that?” Anteros spat mockingly.
Blue eyes narrowed further as he pushed a finger into his son’s chest, “You keep it inside the royal family’s castle--lest word get out that an angel’s going around *&^%ing demons.”
Anteros put up his hands, relenting, “Fine.”

“See? Balance restored.” The female angel smiled, happy with herself.
