Saige’s POV

I enjoyed the honeymoon and I felt refreshed once again and I knew Matt felt the same. The past year has been a mixture of emotions for me but I am glad that I have Matt as my husband now. We have settled more into parenthood since we got married and it was a wonderful feeling to raise a child together. Quinn was growing so fast and even though she is still a baby I can’t wait to have more kids. Part of me wants another baby that is both Matt’s and mine and with all the sex we have been having it should happen. I decided not to go birth control and if we both knew another baby would happen sooner or later and we were ready for it. Matt was such an amazing father so far and I knew once we had another baby he would continue being the best. The guys loved Quinn and I was happy she had such a great family in her life and it made my heart melt.

Matt has been busy rehearsing with Avenged for their upcoming tour dates since we got home from our honeymoon. I’m happy I’ll be able to tag along this time and that will be with us as well. I offered to help with selling merch and with anything else the band needed and I knew Matt appreciated my offer.

I held Quinn in my arms as I walked down into the basement of the house where Matt and the guys were in the studio. Jimmy was the first to notice me enter the studio and he smiled over at me and walked over to Quinn and I. “Saige how are you?” He leaned and kissed Quinns cheek. “She’s getting so big!” I smiled at how good he was with Quinn and she cooed at her uncle. He kissed my cheek as well. Jimmy was like the brother I never had and I appreciated how he treated me.

“I’m doing lovely Jimmy thanks.” Jimmy called over to Matt who engrossed in discussing something with Brian. Matt looked over at us and had one of his adorable smiles on his when he saw Quinn and I.

He walked over to us and kissed me softly on the lips and then kissed Quinn’s head. She smiled over at her daddy and it was so cute to witness every day. “Hey darling what’s up?”

“I hate to interrupt you guys but I’m just going to do some shopping. I just wanted to see if you needed me to pick up anything for you guys?”

“Beer!” Brian yelled out and I giggled.

“Yeah beer would be good and some snacks.” Matt grinned and I knew what that meant. It was going to be a guy’s night for them and I appreciated that Matt did not drink as much as he did before Quinn was born.

“Sure thing. Call me if you need anything else.” I smiled and leaned up and kissed Matt’s lips and the guys were giggling us. I loved the guys and I knew they loved to tease us and especially Matt since he has really settled down.

“I will darling. Have fun shopping.” I smiled and Quinn started to be fussy. “I think she wants to spend time with daddy without mommy.”

“I’ll watch her while you're out shopping.”

“Okay just put those headphones on her when guys get loud.” I handed Quinn over to Matt and she started to calm down. She was a daddy’s girl to Matt and I thought it would adorable. You could hardly tell she was Benji’s daughter but I knew when Matt and I have a baby together they will love him.

“Okay, I’ll let you know when I’m home.” I kissed Matt one more time and l headed upstairs. I slipped on a pair of simple black flats and grabbed my purse, keys, and phone and headed out.


I drove to the grocery store and got all the items I had on my list and made to get beer the guys wanted me to get for them. My shopping my cart was pretty full and I grinned and I felt the happiest I’ve been in years and it felt amazing. I made sure to get a few pregnancy tests because I had a feeling one would come back positive soon. I walked through the aisle with the magazines and I felt sick to my stomach when I saw one of the celebrity magazines. I looked at the story that showed Benji obviously in LA and Sophie was hanging off his arm. That bitch I could not believe she was hanging around with him. I put the magazine in my cart so I could show Nicole and Matt. I was fuming but I tried to relax but I knew she was trying to get back at me and she was going to use Benji to get up to no good. I haven’t seen her in ages and I figured she moved somewhere else but she didn’t seem like the girl who could fit into LA.

I made sure I had everything and walked to the cash area and a few people said hi to me. It calmed me down that there were nice people around this area but I got more attention since I have been with Matt. I tried to avoid public attention because I had enough spotlight when I was married to Benji.

I paid for everything and loaded up the car and I felt anxious for the first time since the day Sophie tried to attack me when I went into labor. I sat in the driver’s seat and cried which was something I didn’t do often. But I was worried about Sophie was trying to do and the last thing I wanted was to lose my friendship with Benji. I hope she wouldn’t put any ideas in his head about taking Quinn away from Matt and me. I wiped my eyes and pushed that aside as I headed back home to where the people I loved and trusted the most were.


Once I got home I put all the groceries away and put the beer in the fridge for the guys. I put the pregnancy tests in the bathroom that was connected to our room. I cleaned up and put some laundry on. I needed to distract my mind because Sophie was confusing me more than ever but I was not going to let her ruin my marriage with Matt or my friendship with Benji.

I then headed down to the studio and smiled when I saw Matt and guys playing with Quinn. “I take it she was not too fussy for you.” I ran my hand along Matt’s shoulders and kissed his cheek.

“She’s been great and I changed and feed her while you were out.”

“Thanks, babe. I’ll go put Quinn down for a nap.” I needed to talk to Matt privately and I knew the guys would understand. “Can you meet me upstairs in a few I need to talk to you about something.”

“Yeah sure.” I picked Quinn up from Matt’s arms and took her to her room and got her all ready for her afternoon nap and brought the baby monitor back to the main level of the house. I sat on the couch in the living room and Matt joined me a few minutes later.

“Saige what did you need to talk about?” He had a concerned look on his face and I felt stupid feeling so anxious and my worries about Sophie.

“You remember me telling you before our honeymoon that Sophie just seemed to vanish from Orange County.”

“Yeah, I remember.” Matt sat beside me on the couch and I moved closer to him and handed him the magazine I bought at the store.

“Well she has been clearly hanging around with Benji and it definitely looks like their dating.”

Matt seemed surprised at what I was telling him. “I know I probably seem crazy right now but I’m worried about what she is up to.”

“I understand baby. But trust me I won’t let her fuck with our lives and I don’t want that crazy bitch around Quinn.”

“I know you’ll protect us, Matty.” I took his hands in mine and gave them a squeeze. “I’m just worried she will put ideas into Benji’s head.”

“Try not to worry about the what if’s right Saige. But thanks for telling and I will watch our backs.” I smiled knowing Matt would always be there for us and I leaned over and kissed his lips softly. “I love you.” Hearing those simple words from Matt always gave me reassurance that he would be there for me.

“I love you too, Matty.” Quinn’s crying then rang out on the baby monitor. “I’ll go see what she needs. I’ll make you guys dinner soon.” I smiled and we shared another kiss before I went upstairs and Matt went back downstairs to join the guys.
