Living Life As Unconventional As Possible

Matt’s POV

Today is the day I finally get to make Saige my wife and I could not be happier. She deserves to finally have the life she’s always wanted and I will do everything in my power to give her a good life along with Quinn. I never thought I would ever get married and have kids and the rock-star life is not easy. There are always groupies trying to get me for the night and in the early days I slept with a few of them. But now I am more focused on the importance of family while maintaining the band.

Saige was at Jimmy and Nicole’s place to get ready and I decided to get ready with the guys at our place. We had a few drinks and relaxed before our planned time to meet on the beach for the ceremony.

I planned a honeymoon for Saige and me and I decided to keep it a secret until after the ceremony. I want to show her that I when I am not touring her and Quinn are my top priorities. My parents offered to take Quinn for the duration of our honeymoon which I am grateful for.

I doubled checked myself in the mirror of our bathroom and ran a hand through my short locks and decided I looked as good as I could. I joined the guys downstairs and my dad us drove the short distance to the area of the beach where the wedding ceremony was to take place. The minister who was doing ceremony met us on the beach and we got positioned. I waited patiently for Saige and the other women and I was feeling more nervous than ever.

I smiled as saw Nicole’s SUV pulled up and saw Saige walking in front of everyone and he looked stunning. She joined me and I took her hands in mine “You look amazing darling.” Her dress was white and flowy and went to her ankles. He was wearing white flip flops. My mom was holding Quinn.

The minister started the service and Saige and I decided to write our own vows. I started with mine and maintained eye contact with her. “Saige, when I met you during High School I thought you were such an awesome girl and I did not focus on you enough and you slipped away. Now I have you back in my life I want you to know that you are the right woman for me. The last year has had difficult times but I promise that I will always value you, cherish you and give all the love I have to give.” I felt the emotion building up. “You mean the world to me and I love you and Quinn so much. I promise that I will honor you for the rest of my life.” I could see the tears in Saige’s eyes and reached over and wiped her cheeks before she said her vows to me.

“Matt, the last year I have realized how much I have loved you over the years. I will never forget how much you have been there for me and Quinn. I promise to be a supportive wife that will cherish you until my life gives out. I promise to be there for you in the hard times and especially as Avenged Sevenfold continues to gain more success. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you and expand our family. I love you so much and I never thought I would ever have the chance to stand her today and call you my husband. I am the happiest I have ever been and I look forward to continuing this journey through life with you.” The minister then got us to put the rings on each other.

I slipped the wedding band on Saige’s ring finger and we mouthed ‘I love you’ to each other. She then slipped the wedding band on my finger and I felt this was the official moment we could start our life together.

“I know pronounce you husband and wife and Matt you can kiss your bride.” The minister looked at us and I leaned down and kissed my wife and wrapped my arms around her waist. As we pulled away we both had smiles. She took my hand as we walked over to our family and friends. They all congratulated us and we headed back to the house and that’s when I realized Benji did not make it our actual ceremony and I knew he would pussy out. I thought he would at least show his support for Saige and show that he truly supported us. Maybe he will show up to the reception at the house instead. I hope so because I wanted this day to be special and good as possible for Saige. Benji showing his support for us meant a lot to me and especially her but the way things have been I will not be surprised if he does not show up.

Saige’s POV

Our wedding ceremony was simple but that’s the way Matt and I wanted it and it felt nice to finally call Matt my husband. When I arrived at the beach I noticed Benji was not there but I pushed it away and focused on Matt and our special day. I did not want to get upset and spoil our day over someone who put me through so much over the last couple of years. After the ceremony we made sure that we got lots of pictures.

Once the ceremony ended I was on cloud nine and I felt so happy and my mind was buzzing with excitement. I enjoyed myself as Nicole and the other girlfriends of the guys helped me get ready. We arrived at back at our house and I was excited about having a party to celebrate our wedding day. We decided to dress down from our wedding outfits and Matt and I went up to our room to change. Matt’s mom held on Quinn while Matt and I got changed into our more comfortable outfits.

I shut the door to our room and smiled over at Matt. “Your vows were so amazing baby.” Matt wrapped his arms around me and I connected our lips in a loving kiss.

“I’m happy you enjoyed my words and your vows were just as amazing darling.” I smiled and could not wait until Matt and I had alone time tonight.

“So, I decided to plan a honeymoon for us.” I smiled and I felt like I would have a non-stop smile on my face all day. Matt always surprised me in the best ways possible and it made my heart melt.

“Aww, Matty. That means so much to me and I take it your parents offered to take of care of Quinn.” I kissed his lips again and rested my hand on his chest.

“Yeah, they are going to watch Quinn. We leave in the morning for the Bahamas and I made sure it one of the best resorts.” I felt happy tears come to my eyes and all the emotion of the day was hitting me hard.

“You’re the best you know that?” I hugged my husband and wiped my eyes. He treated me like a Queen and it was more than I could have ever expected.

“ Thanks, babe and I try my best every day. You know me so damn well and all I want to do is show you how much you mean to me.” Seeing Matt smile and be so open about how he feels about me always made my stomach do flip flops. I felt my face heat up and after this time we have spent together he could still make me blush.

“Let’s get changed before we never leave this room.” I giggled and walked to the closet and changed into a pair of dark jean shorts and one of my many Avenged Sevenfold tank-tops. Matt changed into a pair and jeans and one of his many tee shirts. He still looked good no matter if he was wearing a fancy suit or something comfortable. We walked downstairs and I took Quinn in my arms and Matt kissed her cheek. Matt was an incredible father and I could not wait to have another baby and this time around it would be his biologically.

Matt’s parents stayed for some food and then decided to take Quinn so we could enjoy the party. I got all her stuff together and we would leave a key to the house for Matt’s parents so they could have access to everything we used for Quinn. I was going to miss our baby girl but Matt and I needed some time to enjoy our newly married status. I gave Quinn lots of kiss and so did Matt and walked his parents to the door. I watched them leave and wiped my eyes it was hard to part ways with our daughter.

Matt wrapped his arms around me after his parents left and he calmed me down. “Let’s go get a drink and enjoy the party ok?” I nodded and he was right we needed to have fun since we have been so busy with Quinn that we barely had time to do anything together. We walked to the kitchen and Matt made me a nice drink and I took a sip. I grinned at Matt and the Brian who was also in the kitchen.

“Did I mention how much I missed alcohol?” I laughed. I breastfed Quinn for a while but she was becoming fussy so we decided to give her formula. Now I could enjoy alcohol and not have any worries about my breast milk.

“I can imagine how that must feel to go that long with drinking.” Matt and Brian both were understanding and they raised their glasses and I clinked mine with theirs. “Let’s party.” I giggled and I took a drink and then pulled Matt in for a kiss. Brian grinned our at PDA but he was used to it. He then left the kitchen and joined the rest of the party and our house was getting fuller.

As I was about head outside to our back yard there was a knock on the door. “I’ll go get it babe.” I walked to the door and opened and there stood Benji and he was alone.

“Benj I’m glad you were able to make it.” He smiled and I ushered him inside the house. “Congrats on the wedding Saige.” He gave me hug and I hugged him back. It was weird seeing him after all this time but by him showing up made me feel like he truly supported my marriage to Matt even though he did not go to the ceremony.

“Thanks. Would you like a drink?”

“Yeah sure.” As we walked to the kitchen I called Matt and he joined us in the kitchen. Benji and Matt hugged and it was nice to see them hanging out with friends again. They were engaged in a conversation.

I knew Benji liked Vodka so I made him a cocktail and handed it over. He thanked me and I sipped casually on my drink that Matt made me earlier. “So how’s Quinn doing?”

“She’s doing great.” I could see how proud Matt was to be a father when he spoke about Quinn but I could also tell by Benji’s expression that he was a bit indifferent. I did not feel bad since he chose not to have a role in her life. I continued sipping my drink and Matt led us outside to our backyard where everyone was hanging out.

We kept the whole party relaxed and we just had simple food and the alcohol was flowing. We had music going and our neighbors were chill about us and their kids were amazed when they saw Matt since they were obvious fans of A7X.

I honestly felt awkward around Benji since we had the big fight about my pregnancy. We just engaged in small talk and he socialized with the rest of the band and some other people who were mutual friends of ours.

Matt and I stayed together for most the party and he was not afraid to show his affections for me around everyone and I liked that. It felt good to party with Matt and the others since it had been so long since we had done so.

Benji came up to me after a while into the party and by this point, I was feeling drunk. “Thanks for stopping by Benj its means a lot to me.”

“No problem it was my pleasure and it was nice to see you guys. I’m heading out now and have fun on your honeymoon.”

“Thanks, we will. See you around.” He let himself out and as the night wore on more people started to leave. The guys left once the crowd was gone and it was finally just Matt and me.

I giggled when Matt picked me up bridal style and walked us to our bedroom. He laid me down on the bed. Before long our clothes were on the floor and despite being drunk we had a couple rounds of amazing sex. I could not wait until we left for our honeymoon where we would have a much needed period of alone time and enjoy newlywed bliss.
