Living Life As Unconventional As Possible

Saige's POV

The last few weeks of my pregnancy have been absolute torture with being on bed rest. I tried my best to control my hormonal mood swings and Matt has been so helpful which keeps me calm when he is around. We went to the doctor this morning and she said that our baby girl should be arriving anytime and that the bed rest has controlled my high blood pressure which has now stabilized.

Matt suggested we have a family dinner before Quinn arrives since we will be busy tending to her once she decides to come into the world. I miss the guys but they came to visit me a few times when I was on bed rest but it was not the same. I heard the guys come inside the house and I slowly stood up from the couch and Matt helped me. “Thanks, babe.”

“Your welcome.” He smiled and I smiled back and looked over at the guys who walked right over to me.

“Saige how are you feeling?” Brian gave me a hug in the best way he could with my belly getting in the way.

“I’m good for now but I just want to have Quinn already.” I sighed but I kept the smile on my face and did not want to show my impatience.

“It’s getting so close. We can’t wait to meet the new addition to the Avenged family.” I felt myself tear up at Brian’s words.

“These damn hormones everything is making me cry.” I laughed and wiped my eyes.

“She’s not kidding Bri.” Matt grinned and he was so right but he used to my emotional outbursts.

“Go ahead and grab a beer out of the fridge. Dinner is almost ready.” He nodded and walked towards the kitchen.

Zacky and Johnny also hugged me and then followed Brian to get beers. Jimmy ran over to me and I giggled. He was like the brother I never had and we were close and I always enjoyed seeing him and the other guys as well.

Jimmy gave me a hug and of course ran his hands over my belly and Quinn kicked. “Someone is happy to see uncle, Jimmy!” I smiled at his excitement and then over at Matt who was always smiling.

“I love you guys so much and thanks for being so supportive.”

“You mean too much us Saige for us not to be supportive of you.” I smiled.

“Matt, can you check on the food and then we can sit down and eat. I’m starved.” I laughed.

I walked with Jimmy to the table and gathered the other guys to sit down. We all talked about simple things and then I heard Nicole come in. “Hey Nic.” She came right over to the table.

“You don’t need to get up for me.” She leaned down and gave me a half hug and sat down beside Jimmy. “How are you feeling?”

“I’m alright and the doctor said my labor could start anytime. So now I’m stuck waiting for things to happen.”

“That’s good.” She smiled and I wondered when she and Jimmy would have one of their own but I did not want to push that subject on her right now. She was stressing over work as usual and I always reminded her that she needed to take time for herself and Jimmy as well.

Brian got up from the table and helped Matt bring out the food we cooked together earlier. I decided to make the dishes that the guys all enjoyed. They meant so much to me and have been so supportive that I had to show them.

Matt sat beside me and I smiled. He got my plate ready and I was grateful for all the things he had been doing for since I was bed rest and I knew I would have to make it up to him after Quinn is born.

We all enjoyed the food and had nice dinner conversations and I had to keep my emotions under control. After dinner, the guys cleaned up and I relaxed in the living room with Nicole. The guys played video games in other spare room on the main floor that Matt set up as an office and gaming area. I was fine with that and I cleaned up after him but since I have been on bedrest he kept it way cleaner than I thought he would. Just as I was in relax mode with Nicole the doorbell rang.

I looked over at Nicole. “I was not expecting anyone.” She offered to answer but I needed to keep myself moving. I walked slowly to the front door and opened the door and I was shocked to see Sophie.

“Sophie, what are you doing here?” I have not seen or heard from her since the last time she came by when Matt was on tour.

“Why did you not tell me you and Matt were getting married?” I was surprised by the question because Matt and I have yet to make our engagement public.

“Sophie where in the fuck did you hear that from?” I felt myself getting emotional and I heard Nicole voice and she joined me in the entrance way to the house.

“I’m not telling you that Saige.” My mind was racing and she was actually like a true psychopath and I wish I never let her in the house last time.

“Seriously how did you find out?” I pushed her and I looked over at Nicole. She gave me a confused look “I didn’t tell her I promise.” I nodded and I believed her.

“I have my ways of finding out.” She had an evil like grin on her face and I felt nervous being in her presence.

“Stay the fuck away from my family and this house you got that!” I yelled and then I felt a sharp pain in my lower abdomen. Then I felt wetness spreading down my legs and knew my water broke.

“Just watch your back Saige this is not over.” I was so confused at her behavior and I screamed for Matt. Nicole went to get my fiancé and I breathed through the first contraction that I felt. I leaned against the entranceway wall.

Sophie then left as quick as she came and I hoped I never saw her face again but I felt like she had some serious plans to fuck with me and Matt.

“Saige what happened? All I heard was you screaming and a Nicole coming to get me.”

I tried to control my breathing. “Sophie…came by. She somehow found out about us getting engaged and threatened you and me. But I need to get to the hospital my water broke.”

“Okay, I’ll go grab your bag.” The guys worked to calm me down along with Nicole and I waited for Matt to take me to the hospital.

Matt hurried back to me and I needed him more than ever in this moment. I had so many emotions going through my head. But despite how mad I was at Sophie I had to focus on preparing myself to give birth to Quinn.

I walked slowly to the car and held onto Matt and I took some deep breaths and got into our new SUV. Jimmy joined us in the SUV and I sat in the back and he kept me calm while Matt drove.

Nicole got in her car and Brian, Zacky and Johnny went with her. I could not do this without them but I knew they would not all able to be with me when I would give birth.

I looked over Jimmy and then Matt, “I can’t believe Sophie clearly stalking us..” I then let out a small scream as the next contraction hit me hard.

“Saige just try not to focus on that right now. I want you to try and stay calm which will help keep the labour run more smoothly.” I listened to Jimmy’s words and he was right but I closed my eyes and focused on my breathing.

It did not take long to get the hospital and Matt and Jimmy helped me inside. The nurses put me in a wheel chair and took me to one of the rooms. They helped me change into the hospital gowns. They put the blood pressure monitor on me as well as the monitor to track our baby girl’s heartbeat.

The main nurse told me only two people could be with me at one time and I knew Matt would always be by myside and the guys would rotate until I was ready to give birth. I tried to keep myself calm and relaxed since they told me my blood pressure was slightly elevated and I was worried about Quinn.

Matt ran his hand through my hair and over my cheek. “Your doing great darling. Just focus on your breathing and I’ll be here the entire time ok?” He leaned down and kissed my lips softly

I took one of his hands in mine and gave it a small squeeze and breathed through the next contraction I was experiencing. “I’m happy you are with me.” I then looked over at Jimmy who was staying in the room for a while longer. “And you as well Jimmy.” He took my other hand and I felt comforted by their presence.

A couple hours later my contractions were closer apart and the nurses were checking me on a regular interval to make sure I was making good progress. There was a knock on the door and the nurse smiled and walked in with the doctor. “How you doing Saige?”

“I’m doing alright. Today has been a whirlwind of emotions but I am getting through this labour.” I looked over at Matt and gave his hand a squeeze.

“Ok, let’s have a look and see if you are ready to start pushing.” She sat in front of me and spread my legs and checked my progress. “Well it looks like you are ready to get this baby delivered. The nurse helped her get everything they needed and held onto Matt’s hand and Brian’s who happened to also be in the room.

The doctor instructed me to push and I have never felt so much pressure and pain in my life. “Oh, god Matt! I don’t know if I can do this.” I cried out.

“Yes, you can Saige. Just breathe and push and soon Quinn will be here.” He kissed my forehead and pushed my hair off my sweaty forehead. I squeezed his hand and I’m pretty I have the capability to break it.

“You are doing great Saige. Just push on your next contraction and the baby’s head will be out.” Once I felt the contraction I pushed with all my might and the pain was so intense. I kept focusing on my breathing.

“Just a couple more pushes and we will be welcoming your baby.” I kept pushing and before long I felt the pressure finally leave my body. “Your baby girl is here Saige. “The doctor cleaned off Quinn’s face and before long I heard my baby girl cry. I felt tears come to my eyes and before long she was put on my chest and looked over Matt who also had tears in his eyes.

I ran my hand over Quinn’s back as she calmed down and I leaned over and kissed Matt’s lips and he kissed me back. “You did so good Saige. I love you so much.”

“I love you too, Matt.” They then took Quinn after a few minutes to finish cleaning her off and so that they could take her vitals, weigh and measure her. I felt so much emotion and after this day I felt absolutely exhausted which was to be expected. The doctor was surprised my labour was not as long as it usually was for a first-time mother.

Brian came over to me and took one of my hands as well. “you did good Saige, and I’ll leave you to take it easy. Quinn is beautiful.” He smiled and kissed my cheek and left the room to give Matt and I some privacy. After a while the other guys congratulated Matt and I and seen Quinn. They decided to head home and I told them to watch out for Sophie in case she was stalking around. Nicole also congratulated us and she stayed for a while and she offered to stay at our place until we got back incase Sophie tried anything.

“Thanks for everything and I’ll let you know when I get discharged and we are on our way home.” She hugged me and then she also left the hospital.

I was happy Quinn was finally here and that she was perfectly healthy and now I had to focus on my family. I also knew that Matt would keep us safe from what Sophie could do and we had to focus on our daughter. By the next day, the hospital released me and Matt and I took our baby girl home. I felt safe once we back in our home. I contact Benji that I had the baby and I told him everything was fine. I contacted him because Matt and I decided to maintain our friendship with him.

Notes

Sophie has made a reappearance and Saige wonders how she got news of her engagement to Matt. Quinn has arrived and Matt and Saige can finally focus on their new family.
