A Lifeless Dream

It has been two weeks since that incident with Brian and I still couldn't get it out of my head. I still couldn't get him out of my head. Everytime I close my eyes his face pops into my head and I could barely concentrate of doing things like finding a job. I still had enough money to live without a job for a very long time but I couldn't stay all day in the house not doing anything at all. It wasn't me, I was a very active person to stay inactive for so long.

Anyway I was starting doing interviews for a job in photography, they all said that they will call if a job pops out but until now I haven't receive a call from any of them. I must say a feeling of disappointment was growing in me. Back in England I was the one that everyone was calling for a job and I was busy all the time and I enjoyed it.

Now I was at home bored as hell watching a movie and eating pop-corn. I mean come on that must be the forth movie I've seen this week. I was getting tired with this situation and the guys were busy with something about their band so they couldn't hang out. I was a little happy with that because I couldn't face Brian...I know I said it was ok but it's not. I was confused because of the feelings they were growing inside me for him. I couldn't explain them I haven't felt like this since I first met David.

David...I haven’t thought of him since I moved here but after that call in Jimmy's house something told me that it was him. I kept having calls like that everyday two or three times a day. I was starting being scared I mean if it was someone that wanted something important he would have spoken. All these thoughts were surrounding my mind every day. I needed to do something to distract me.

The movie ended and I took the now empty bowl of pop corn and made my way to the kitchen. I placed the bowl in the sink and started washing the dirty dishes while humming a song. Yes...I'm that bored. I took a glance at the clock that was resting on the wall behind me. A sigh escaped my lips it was only 2p.m. what was I going to do all day? Suddenly my bell rang. I whipped my hands with the kitchen towel and made my way to the door.

When I opened the door I was attacked by someone with a hug.

«I missed you so much pancake" he yelled in my ear...Jimmy.

"I missed you too Jimmy " I laughed as he placed me back to the ground.

"How you doin pancake?" he asked as I closed the door.

"Really Jimmy? Pancake?" he shrugged.

"Why? Pancakes are so nice and sweet and you're sweet" he said and squeezed my cheeks.

"Ok then" I chuckled and headed back to the kitchen.

I opened the fridge searching for something to drink. Jimmy was already sitting on the kitchen table.

"Want something to drink?" I asked him and turned my head to look at him.

"No thank you... Actually I'm here to take you out" he said and I closed the fridge and took a sit across him.

"Really?" I said and I couldn't help but smile when he nodded with a huge smile on his face.

"And where are you planning to take me Mr. Sullivan?" I asked with an amusing smile on my face.

"A pool party" A party? I mean I wanted to go out but a party would be too much for me right now. I don't know why but I didn't feel comfortable with a lot people around me not since I lost my mom. A sigh escaped my lips and I raised my head to look at Jimmy maybe he understood that I didn't want to go and he spoke again.

"Come on Alicia...not a lot of people are going to be there only the rest of the band and their girls… well actually only Matt's and Brian's but still" he said and flushed me a smile "and I know you may not be comfortable around Brian but you are going to meet the rest of the guys."

As soon as his words left his mouth I froze. How did he know that I was going to be uncomfortable around Brian?

"What are you talking about Jimmy?" Inside I was praying that he doesn't know anything.

"Come on I saw you two in the music room at my house you can't deny that you like him" my eyes were locked to the ground.

"I don't know maybe" I sighed "but it doesn't matter he is my friend and he already has a girlfriend" he just gave me a sympathetic smile.

"I'm going to get ready" I stood up and started to make my way out of the kitchen when two tattooed arms wrapped around my shoulders and embraced me in a hug. I wrapped my hands around Jimmy’s waist and I instantly relaxed. I may not know Jimmy for a long time but I feel like he is the brother I’ve never had.

"You know you can talk to me about anything right?" he said as he broke our hug to look at me.

"I know Jimmy and thank you for that you are like the brother I’ve never had" I told him a smile made its appearance on my face.

"You know you are like my sister too. You don't have to thank me" he smiled back and squeezed my left cheek.

"Now go get ready" he said and I chuckled while walking up the stairs to my bedroom.

I opened my closet and got a pair of denim shorts, my purple bikini and a black tank top. I changed, wore my black sandals and took a look of myself in the mirror. I had already make-up on and my hair was already fixed into a messy ponytail. I nodded to myself and exited my bedroom. I walked into the living room to see Jimmy watching Tv.

"I'm ready" I said softly and he turned his head to look at me. He then closed the Tv and walked towards me and the door.

"Alright let's go" he smiled and opened the door.

I grabbed my black ray ban wayfarer and wore them. I locked the door to my house and followed Jimmy to his car. I got in and Jimmy flashed me a smile before he turned on the engine and started driving.

"In whose house are we going?" I asked after two minutes of silence. Jimmy answered his eyes never leaving the road.

"Matt’s. We’re always throwing our parties there" I just nodded.

"Jimmy are you sure the guys want me there...what if they don't like me?" he stole a glance at

me and chuckled.

"Are you crazy woman? They are gonna like you and I'm sure you are gonna like them back the guys are really cool so stop worrying and just enjoy yourself" I just nodded to him and turned my head to look out of the window.

A few minutes later the car stopped in front of a beautiful beach house. It was huge and I couldn't quit staring at it. I turned to look at Jimmy who was looking at me with an amusing smile on his face.

"This is where your friend lives?" I asked my hand pointing the house.

"Yeap" he opened the door and got out of the car. I did the same.

"But this place is huge" I said staring at the house.

"You haven't see Brian's yet" he said and placed his arm around my shoulders while we were walking towards the front door.

"Ready?" he asked when we reached the front door. I smiled and nodded to him and he rang the doorbell.

Suddenly the door opened and a huge muscular guy shown up. He smiled and his dimples appeared. His hands were covered with tattoos so was his chest that was appearing because he was wearing only his swimsuit. His hair was short and his eyes were a beautiful hazel colour.

"Hey come on in, you must be Alicia" he said while we stepped into the house. I smiled and nodded.

"I'm Matt. I've heard a lot about you" he smiled and his dimples appeared again.

"Nice to meet you Matt" I said and gave him my hand to shake but instead he pulled me into a hug.

"Nice to meet you too but I don't do handshakes only hugs" he said and chuckled.

I turned to look for Jimmy but he was nowhere to be found. Matt pointed to the direction of the backyard. We were walking towards the backyard when I saw the one person that I was dreading to see. Brian. He was getting out of the kitchen with a few beers in his hands. He saw me and smiled while walking towards me and Matt. Matt took the beers from his hands and got to the backyard leaving me and Brian alone.

"Hey you came" he said and hugged me.

"I didn't have a choice Jimmy dragged me out of the house" I chuckled and he laughed.

"I'm glad he did. Now come on you have people to meet" his hand was slightly touching my back and I could feel my skin melting against it.

When we reached the backyard he got out first and I followed him. He yelled to the rest of the people and suddenly I was surrounded by 5 guys and 2 girls looking at me. I already knew Jimmy, Brian and Matt so I had to meet the others.

"So guys this is Alicia" Brian said and pointed at me.

"Alicia this is Zacky" he said and pointed to a guy with snakebites and two green hypnotizing eyes. He was muscular too but not as Matt and Brian was and his hands were also covered with tattoos. I was going to do a hand shake but he pulled me into a hug as well. I guess they don't hand shake here.

"Next to him is Johnny" Brian pointed to a short guy with a mohawk. He didn't have as many tattoos as the others did. We shared a hug as well and I couldn't help but noticed that he had an adorable smile.

"This is my girlfriend Cynthia" I must say Cynthia was really beautiful. She had long blond hair and her eyes were a mixture of green and blue. She was wearing a bikini that was showing her awesome body. She had a beautiful smile...any guy would want to be with her so why not Brian? I shook that thought out of my head and greeted her with a hug as well.

"And finally this is Matt’s girlfriend Lucille" she was familiar and her name reminded me of my best friend that I used to have years ago when I was in highschool. Apparently she had to move because of her parent's job. Now that I remember she said that she was going to move to California but she didn't say where. I took another look at her and then I saw it. The green eyes and the long blond hair wich was going down in loose curls of my best friend. Her smile confirmed everything it was her.

"Lulu?" I said with a wide smile on my face she just looked at me wide eyed.

"Oh My God Lissy?" she said and I just nodded. She attacked with a huge bone crushing hug that caused us both to fall down on the grass. We were laughing so hard and I'm sure the guys and Cynthia were confused because they didn't know what was happening but I didn't care I just got my bestfriend back.

"I thought I'll never see you again" she said once we were up from the ground and she hugged me again.

"Me too. I'm so happy to see you again" I hugged her more tight if that's even possible.

"You know each other?" Matt said and we snapped our head to see all of them looking at us with a confused look on their faces.

"Remember when I told you that I used to live in England?" they just nodded waiting to hear more "well Alicia was my best friend that's the story" she said and they just nodded again.

"Let the party begin" Jimmy yelled and jumped into the pool the guys followed him and us the girls chilled out for a bit before we got in too.

I was having a really fan time, the guys were awesome. Jimmy was right I really liked them. Cynthia was pretty nice too but I must confess that I was slightly jealous that she was with Brian. I also had time to talk with Lucille and said all the things we missed from each other lives all these years, I skipped of course the part about my parents and I just told her that I moved here because I wanted a fresh start. We agreed to go for shopping tomorrow to spent time with each other and for me to know more about Cynthia.

It was now almost 5p.m and we were all tired. We had sat down on the grass in a small circle and we were just talking. Suddenly my phone rang and I excused myself to pick it up. I got up and moved a few meters away. I checked the caller ID, it was an unknown number like usual. I was getting tired of these calls. Anyway I answered it.

"Hello?" no answer… how typical I thought.

"You know there is no reason to call me if you are not going to talk to me" I said irritated but for the first time someone spoke and it was a voice I never wanted to hear…

"Hello to you too Alicia" no this can't be happening.

"David?" I said my voice shaking.

"Miss me? You know you start having friends pretty quickly" my eyes widened and I turned to look at the guys they were laughing with something and they didn't notice me.

"What do you want?" my hands were shaking now and I could barely hold the phone to my ear.

"You know what I want and I will get it. I know where you are and where you live so be careful Cia" he used my nickname and I could feel my face getting pale it was really him "I will come and get what I want." and with that he hang up the phone.

"No" I said although he couldn't hear me but I couldn't believe what had just happened. My knees got weak and I could barely stand. Lulu must have notice because she got up and came to me.

"Lissy? Are you ok?" I just shook my head. My vision was getting blurry and my knees gave up. The last thing I remember was Lulu yelling to the guys.
