Few months later

Auden’s POV

Baby Sanders should be coming anytime soon, I couldn’t be more excited, these last few months have been long and annoying but it has also brought Matt and I closer. I am at the point where I just want to get this baby out.
Today we planned to have a bbq just for family and friends, we really haven’t seen much of each. My dad even flew out to be here because he knew I could have the baby anytime. I was just laying in bed with my eyes closed when I felt the bed dip and it become cold. Matt had gotten up before me.
“Auden wake up” He said
“Do I have too?” I whined opening my eyes and looking at him
“Yes babe you do” he chuckled.
“Whyyyyyy” I groaned
“Because we have a lot to do today” he smiled.
“Like what?” I asked
“The house.” he said
“And that is where I call Brian, and Jimmy. I am not doing shit but sitting on the couch” I said
“Really now?” he said raising his eyebrows
“Please can I just call them and have me not doing anything. Like I am making a baby does that count?” I said
“I guess” he smiled again
“Good, I am calling them now” I said grabbing my phone and dialing Brian.
“Hello?” Brian said through the phone.
“Brian my bff guess what you get to do today” I grinned at Matt.
“What is that? And when did I become your bff” He said
“When I want you to do something is when you become my bff. I need you to help Matt” I said
“With what?” he groaned,
“Cleaning my house before the bbq” I said
“Why can’t you?” he said
“Because I am making a baby, now get Jimmy and come over” I said hanging up the phone.
“Really didn’t give him a choice did you?” Matt asked
“Fuck no” I said. He just chuckled and walked away.

I laid in bed for a few more moments before I got up and got in the shower. After my jam session and the shower I walked to our closet and grabbed a black sundress. It showed my baby bump perfectly. I did my hair in a high ponytail with curls and put on light makeup. I could hear the boys moving around. I walked in the living room to see Matt cleaning the floors, Jimmy washing windows and Brian doing dishes. No one say me yet so I walked over to the stereo and turned it on. Matt’s mix of Metallica, Iron Maiden, Pantera and others was playing. Everyone’s head snapped in my direction. I just smiled and sat down on the couch grabbing a book from the side table. This is all I wanted to do today.
Soon enough 3 o’clock rolled around and the house looked wonderful. Aimee and Zack were the first ones to show up. Johnny and Lacey soon showed up after them. I was starting to chop veggies and fruit. The girls came to help while the guys ended up out back. Soon after the guys went out back my dad showed up, following him was Matt’s parents. Then soon came Brian’s parents and sister. I was happy to have everyone here. Even if Dylan was missing physically, he was there spiritually. I had the stereo playing inside, us girls were dancing and singing and prepping with the boys were outside drinking and sharing stories. After prepping the hamburgers I put them all on a plate and took outside to the grill.
“Here you go Matt” I smiled
“Thanks babe, I will start on them now” he said getting up from his seat and taking the plate from my hands and kissing me on the cheek. I went to turn around to go back inside when I hear water. I look all around until I felt my foot get wet.
“Matt” I stammered
“Mmm?” he said
“We gotta go” I said
“What why?” he asked
“OWWW” I said grabbing my stomach. The first contraction.
“Auden what is wrong?” Matt said
“BABY TIME!” I yelled through the contraction.
“Holy shit ok. Brian run up stairs and grab the bags sitting in the nursery. Jimmy go get my car, Doug help me get her to the car.” Matt started yelling. All the guys started moving. As soon as my dad grabbed one of my arms we were on the move through the house.
“What the fuck is going on?” Aimee asked
“Baby time” Zack said behind us.
“Kim we gotta go” Gary said.
“Suzy and Mckenna get in the car.” Papa Gates said.
Everyone was doing as they were told. Matt and my dad got me to Matt’s car, Matt climbed in the back with me. Jimmy was driving and my dad was in the passenger seat. We were the first ones to leave. Everyone else followed.

When we got to the hospital, Matt and my dad helped me get in the doors.
“How can I help you folks today?” a nurse asked
“My wife is having her baby!” Matt said
“I NEED A WHEELCHAIR OVER HERE!” she yelled.
“Can I have a name?” she asked
“Auden” I said
“How are your contractions?” she asked
“About 5 minutes apart” I said
“Ok anyone else in this party?” she asked
“Yes, they should be com-” I was saying when everyone else came rushing in
“Auden are you ok?” Aimee asked. Soon a guy came rushing over with a wheel chair.
“Everyone give her air we are going to take her to the delivery room. Who is going to be coming along with you?” she asked me
“My husband Matt.” I said holding his hand tightly. “OWWW”
“There is another contraction time it!” she said. I let out a breathe
“That was only 3 minutes long” Aimee said
“They are getting closer we need to move now!” the nurse said.
We started rushing towards a delivery room, Matt was right beside me holding my hand the whole time. As we reached the doors the nurse turned to Matt.
“Sir you will need to wait out here for a moment” she said
“Why?” he asked
“We have to prep her” she said
“I am her husband you don’t think I’ve seen her naked. Let me back there” he said getting upset.
“We can’t have you back there until you are all gowned up so quit your bitching and wait here. Someone will be with you shortly” she huffed. I was smirking.
“Ok” was all Matt could say.
As soon as they got me into a room, they started stripping me of my clothes. As soon as I was in a hospital gown I was feeling a contraction again.
“HOLY FUCK” I screamed.
“Auden it’s time for you to lay in bed, your doctor will be here soon” the nurse said
“Where is Matt” I spat
“I’m right here baby” he said standing near the door fully gowned. “Let’s get you in bed.”
“I like that nurse” I smiled
“She’s a pistol isn’t she” he laughed
“She reminded me of someone but I can’t put my thumb on it” I said
“She reminds me of you” Matt said all serious.
“Really?” I said
“Yup, her being a pistol reminds me of you. That’s a reason I fell in love with you” Matt said.
“Awe Matt I love you OWWWWW” I said.
“Another contraction?” Matt asked
“Hell yes” I grunted. “Where the fuck is the doctor”
“He is coming, just hang in there” He said.
“He needs to hurry his ass up. I’m tired of this motherfucker being inside me” I said.

We were waiting for 30 minutes before the doctor came in and was checking my cervix.
“Alright Auden you seem about 4 cm dilated. We will check back in a few hours” the doctor said.
“Thank you Doc” Matt said
“Matty?” Auden said
“Yes my love?” he said grabbing my hand.
“Can you get everyone in here?” I asked
“I can try” he smiled.
He got up and walked out to find a nurse to ask if we could have everyone in the room. I looked down at my belly and started rubbing circles around it.
“You little shit. I need you to hurry up and make your way into the world. I’m getting impatient and you’re making me hurt. The fact that I have to wait a few hours before they come back and check on me to see if I am dilated enough to get your bitch ass out irritates me. But I’m also happy so I can have some alone time with everyone. And I swear to god you grow up to be a dick I will come after you and beat the shit out of you. I am so happy to be able to bring you into this world. Only if your uncle Dylan was here.” I said.
“He is here in spirit dear” Aimee said standing with everyone else behind her.
“Oh shit. Sorry guys I didn’t think you’d hear all of that” I said
“It’s all good Auden. It was what some of us needed to hear” Jimmy said.
I looked at everyone and noticed someone was missing
“Where is Brian?” I asked
“I don’t know” Jimmy said again
“Doesn’t he have the hospital bags?!” I said
“Yeah” Matt said. “He is here somewhere. I’m sure”
I was filled with panic. Aimee could see it in my eyes.
“Auden” Aimee said sitting on my bed and leaning into my ear.
“You need to stay calm, Brian is coming. He stopped to grab a few things. He texted me” she said softly.
I looked at her with a smile. As soon as we turned back to the group Brian walked in. Everyone was ready to kill him, but I just smiled.
“Hi cock stain” I said
“Hey demon” he smiled. “Did you think I wouldn’t show up”
“Yeah” I said
“Well I couldn’t just not grab one of my guitars” He smiled.
“Why did you need a guitar?” Matt said stepping forth
“Because. Just pull up a chair. Everyone get comfy we are in for a long ride” Brian said sitting the bags down and pulling out his guitar.
Matt sat on my bed running his fingers through my hair, everyone got comfy all around the room. Brian started strumming on his guitar. Once he started playing, Matt started singing. I tried to see if I could sleep but I couldn’t. They were playing and singing my favorite songs which was calming me down.

After a few hours of dancing around and singing the doctor came back in on me.
“Well Miss Halpern you are almost there. Just a few more cm and you will be pushing.” He smiled and walked away.
“Are you fucking kidding” I said. “I want this little fucker out of me!”
“HEY! That little fucker wants out of you too chill out” My dad said. Everyone chuckled.
We all just mingled around, well they all did. I was enduring the pain of my contractions. An hour passed and it felt like forever. Finally the doctor came back.
“Alright Auden you’re crowning time to have this baby” He smiled
“Fucking finally” I spat through my teeth. Matt grabbed one of my hands, Aimee had the other. Everyone was on one side of the room huddled together so they didn’t have to see my lady parts.
“On the count of three push.. One. Two. Three! Push!” Dr. Logan said.
I pushed.
“Again.. One. Two. Three!”
I pushed harder. Matt was whispering sweet things in my ears. Aimee was dabbing a wash cloth on my forehead.
“Ok one for push and the baby will be out” he said. “One. Two. Three”
It was my last big push, I was so lightheaded after that push, but once I heard the baby’s cry I focused on the doctor hold him. But the doctor had a weird look on his face.
“What is wrong with him?!” I said panicking
“Nothing is wrong with her” he said
“Her?” Matt said
“Her?” Aimee said
“When did the baby become a her?!” I asked
“Must have always been a her, just thought it was a him” Dr. Logan said.
“I don’t give a shit give me my daughter” I snapped.
Once I had her in my arms, I was filled with joy. I looked up at Matt, he had tears in his eyes.
“She’s beautiful” I whispered
“Just like you” he said kissing the top of my head.
The nurse then asked to take her to wash her up and weigh her. Matt followed her watching everything. My dad came up and sat next to me brushing hair out of my face.
“You know now I will be wrapped around her finger” he said
“Oh I know, I was hoping for it. But you have to remember, she has 4 uncles and a few aunts that would want her too. And gotta think about the other grandparents” I laughed
“Well I’m proud you baby. You made a beautiful little daughter. I think I might move out here” My dad said looking at where Matt was standing
“You what?” I said
“Yeah I might move out here. I would love to be closer to you guys” He said
“But what about everyone back home? Like Theresa and Laura.” I said looking at him
“Oh we aren’t together anymore.” He smiled
“Thank fucking god I never liked her” I grinned
“I know and I didn’t wanna tell till after the baby so you didn’t stress or anything” he said grabbing my hand.
“Well that means you need somewhere to live” I said
“Oh I have been looking and found one kinda close to you all. It is also beach accessible” he smiled.
“Who knew about this?” I asked
“Almost everyone but you” he smiled
“Well wtf. Why didn’t I get told” I said
“Baby. Stress” he stated
“Bullshit” I smiled. Matt walked back over to us. I smacked his arm and crossed mine over my chest and turned the other way.
“What was that for?” Matt asked
“She’s mad at you” my dad chuckled.
“What did I do?” He asked having his eyebrows raised
“You knew about me moving here” My dad smiled
“Oh yeah that” Matt laughed. “That’s ok. Aimee knew about it too”
“I’m mad at her too” I smiled. I turned around and looked over at my daughter, too see that Jimmy and the guys were crowded around her smiling and being uncles.
“Alright guys. It’s been a long night everyone return to your designated houses and shit please” I said.
“Goodnight Auden, Congrats guys!” Zacky and Aimee said hugging Matt and I and leaving.
“Congrats guys!” Papa Gates and Suzy said leaving
“I’M AN UNCLE OF A BEAUTIFUL GIRL!” Jimmy said hugging us.
“Go home Jimbo! I will see you tomorrow” I said laughing.
We finished our goodbyes. Matt grabbed our baby girl and brought her over to me. I was holding her, taking in her features.
“She looks like you” Matt said next to me
“Does she? I hope to god she isn’t like me” I said
“We need to think of a name for her” He said
“I know, I want it to be unique” I sighed.
“Why unique?” Matt asked
“Because she’s gonna be a unique girl” I smiled. “And I think I have the perfect name for her”
“What is it baby?” Matt asked
“Elena MacKenzie Sanders” I said
“I love it!” Matt said. I looked up at him with surprise
“Really?!” I asked
“Yes!” He said kissing me.
“Oh Matt I am so blessed to have you! I can’t wait to marry you next month!” I smiled
“Me neither baby. I love you” he said
“I love you too” I said
