Nobody Said It Was Easy
Chapter Two
Third Person
The party was in full swing and both girls were mingling, Hannah had finally made her way over to Brian and Michelle while E found herself right back in front of Zack who was talking about the next steps in their music career, E was moving to the other side of Zack a bit just trying to listen in or even be able to understand what was going on.
“Yeah so we are really really excited for…. Hey what are you doing haha whats up?” Zack stops mid-sentence realizing that E was totally not tuned into what he was saying. Erin stares at Hannah as she flashes a serious but caring face to her brother and Michelle, Zack moves in front her and waves his hand.
“S...sorry just was..” Erin starts to speak.
“You were trying to figure out what is going on over there haha but see you full named me so I am sorry but you are gonna listen to me now” Zack chimes in before she can even say anything causing her to immediately close her mouth, her cheeks flush a bit and she covers her mouth.
“You know me… I am curious haha I really am listening now I promise!” Erin giggles and puts her hand gently on Zacks arm causing his girlfriend Meaghan to make her way over to Zack planting a rough kiss to his lips, Erin backing up a bit raising her eyebrow.
“Well let me leave you two so you can continue this” She giggles and walks off from Zack and Meaghan, Zack stopping for a moment trying to hide that he didn’t want her to leave him. As I passed by I heard Michelle get really excited and saw her hug Hannah briefly hearing something come out of Brian.
“We are so happy that you are doing this for us! Thank you!” I heard Bri and was pulled away for drink by Johnny. 3 hours and a lot of drinks later Hannah was now half asleep on her parents couch and E was good and ready to get the hell home.
“Come on now wait to do that till you are in bed” E says to Hannah letting her rest on her the whole uber ride home, the two girls were always caring for one another and they were no stranger to getting each other into bed when one has had too much to drink, E changed Hannah once they got home and Hannah was almost instantly passed out after she hit the bed, E wasn’t too far from that when she reached her bed, she had a routine of checking emails before bed and saw that on her phone there was a text from Zack.
*Hey.. Sorry about our conversation getting cut short.. I don’t know what her deal was... call me tomorrow? -ZV*
Erin stared at the message for a moment before finally getting the guts to reply, she kept it short but didn’t want to sound bummed out although she was… she had always felt for Zack.. and the fact that he was with Meaghan was always hard on her…

With that Erin didn’t care about the response… the only thing on her mind was sleep, she crawled into bed and passed out ready to take on the next day.. Maybe finally get information from Hannah..
Erins P.O.V
I was always an early riser, I was up making coffee, doing some drawing for possible tattoos and was eagerly waiting for Hannah to wake up.. While I was excited I couldn’t help but think about what Meaghan did last night… was it that obvious I was into him? Why would she be threatened by me? Zack and I always had an overly confusing relationship and it never went past friendship or the occasional flirting even though I wanted more..
“Ahhhh the fresh smell of coffee, I was feeling like death the moment I opened my eyes and you are my saving grace!” Hannah chirped happily rubbing her eyes jumping at the coffee, she grabbed a cup and sat down across from me smiling, I smiled back just staring at her for a moment as she took a sip of her coffee and she looked up at me raising her brow.
“What’s up? You look like you are about to interrogate me” She giggled and set her cup down and I set my hands on the table getting eager.
“Sooooooo are you going to tell me what you, Brian and Michelle were discussing hmmmmm?? Cmon I was trying to hear but then Zack caught me and well.. You were too far away!” I blurted out taking a breath and she pulled her head back and took a moment to take in what I was asking her.
“Chill out woman, I am meeting with them and we are going to discuss the topic more but I promise that I will tell you once I speak with them and get more information, believe me it is better this way, now in case you forgot you have work soon so you need to get your butt to work” Hannah stated and I narrowed my eyes at her taking a moment groaning loudly to get my things together.
“WORK SUUUUCKS” I say out of my bedroom and Hannah just giggles passing by my door looking in.
“I promise I will tell you more later, have a very very good day at work!” She smiled and went to her room to get ready for the day while I made my way to work… it was a very slow day, most of my appointments were later in the week and I stared at my phone wondering if I should actually call Zack or make him wait… but all thought was cut off the moment I heard a voice that I hadn’t heard in forever…
“E..Erin.. oh my god I thought that was you.. I had hoped anyways..” Maxx said.. Maxx Danziger.. From the band Set It Off, he and I had known each other from a while ago when Hannah and I were into concerts, like Warped Tour.
“Maxx.. wow I didn’t know that you and the band were back.. Weren’t you in Tampa?” I said nearly stumbling out of my chair looking up at him coming over, he had lived in Florida and when he was out here… we would sometimes be a thing..
“We moved to LA… and well all the guys want to get tattoos.. And I saw your name, I just I am so happy to see you, we should grab a drink sometime” Maxx hugs me tightly and I take a moment and I step back looking at him pushing my hair back and smiling before my phone starts ringing and I tilt my head back and groan… it was Zack again.. For the fifth time during the day.
“I am sorry but I really have to take this, let me write down my number and you can text me.. About that drink ya know” I stuttered a bit and I grab a piece of paper writing down my number putting a small heart by it and give it to him hearing my phone go off again putting it up to my ear smiling as Maxx leaves the shop.
Zacks P.O.V
She was avoiding me.. She was most definitely avoiding me.. I had been calling her every chance I had got outside of working the VU line, every single damn time she would just let it ring.. Dammit Meaghan.. I was about to give up when she finally picked up the phone..
“Hello?” She said with a bit of annoyance in her voice.
“Well hello there, would have thought you were gonna give me a call or I don’t know answer them…” I growled a bit irritated by the fact that she was evading me.
“I work, then an old friend stopped by, why are you so damn persistent!” She snapped back at me, the girl was fiery and I always loved it.
“We didn’t get a chance to finish our conversation even though you were very distracted last night.. Again im sorry about Meaghan” I stated.
“Well I overheard stuff from Brian and Michelle and I was interested, I really really think something big is happening with them, I just wish I had heard more…” E said going off on her curious tangent and I just sighed.
“Well I am sure it could be a number of things Erin…. Why are you so damn curious, I don’t understand” I questioned and I heard Hannah’s voice in Erin’s shop and I rolled my eyes.
“Zack I got-” She started to say but I cut her off.
“I know you gotta go, tell Hannah hi, we will discuss this later” I said to her and hung up a bit quickly.
Third Person
Hannah walked into Erin’s tattoo shop knowing that her best friend was waiting for an explanation, she sat herself down on the stool that was in front of the counter and stared Erin in the face and Erin knew to sit down waiting to say anything just getting ready to hear her out.
“We have to talk about something… ya know.. What you were curious about” Hannah said and Erin took in a deep breath unaware of what Hannah was gonna say..

Erins P.O.V
