Nobody Said It Was Easy

Chapter Three

When Brian and Michelle pulled me aside at the party, I wasn't expecting them to drop the bomb on me that they did. They wanted me to be their surrogate and carry their baby for them because Michelle was never going to be able to.

"How would it work?" I asked dumbly, still in shock from what I was hearing.

"Well," Michelle spoke up. "The doctor has a bunch of embryos frozen from when we tried a round of IVF ourselves and it didn't work, so they would take some of them and implant them into your uterus and hopefully you'd successfully get pregnant." she explained, much like the doctor had explained to them a few months back.

I took a breath and ran my hand through my hair, but I wasn't freaking out, I was just realising how big of a deal this was to them.

"Okay," I nodded. "I'll do it."

The next day after seeing the doctor with Brian and Michelle to have some blood tests done, I went to the shop to tell Erin everything and we wound up being locking up in her studio for almost three hours talking everything over.

"I've gotta say," Erin spoke. "I'm so proud of you for taking this responsibility on and doing this for them, but it's going to be super weird having a pregnant roommate."

I laughed and swatted her arm playfully. "Don't be a douche, you're going to be the one who gets to rub my swollen feet and run out for ice cream at three in the morning."

"Oh, so really you and I are having a baby and I'm your baby daddy?" She joked, making us both bust out laughing hysterically.

At the end of the week I was getting ready to into the hospital for my procedure, so I went to the store to stock up on water and a bunch of healthy shit that was supposed to keep me feeling good so that I wouldn't pass out at the sight of the 'giant turkey baster' as Bri liked to call it. I swear, I would have killed him by now if he wasn't hopefully going to be a father in nine months.

As I was tossing fruit into my shopping basket, I heard someone call my name from behind and I turned around, eyes widening quickly when I saw Andy Biersack coming towards me.

"Oh, my god!" I squealed excitedly, putting my basket down so that I could hug him when he reached me. "Andy, what the fuck are you doing here?" I asked happily, my arms tightening around him.

"I'm back for some work, babe." He laughed, his chest rumbling against mine. "I was hoping I'd run into you - I'm actually surprised that you're still in town."

Was this ironic, or what? My old boyfriend and close friend whom I hadn't seen in years comes back into town when I'm about to get pregnant, and I'm also experiencing some feelings for someone else... but nobody can know about that. Not yet.

Notes

So, this is really just a short little filler that I managed to pound out quickly. Enjoy!

@Kimmie
I've been so hectic! With a toddler now running around it's hard to find time to do anything that isn't Mama duty, and we also had to move a couple of weeks ago, but I'm alright!
