Dirty Little Secret

My grip tightened around my glass as I stared at the two with narrowed eyes. Too close Baker! Too fucking close. I growled internally, my gaze never leaving them. I gripped the glass harder, harder still as I watched her inch closer to him. Her hands were pressed up against his chest, his hands wrapped around her waist. What the actual fuck!

Suddenly the glass shattered and beer splashed all over my jeans. I jumped a little as if awoken from a dream. I gazed down at my now throbbing palm, glass sticking out from it. Hot, searing pain spread across my palm and blood spewed from the new wound.

What the fuck Sullivan?

I gawked at my hand, lost in thoughts, for what felt like an eternity. What the hell happened? Since when did I get angry – jealous? Was I jealous? But why? Confused, my gaze returned to Aislinn and Zack. Why was he so close to her?

“Rev! Dude, what’s up?” I snapped my gaze to Johnny. Somehow he had snuck up on me.
“What?”

“The fuck happened to your hand?” Johnny’s eyes grew wide as he caught sight of my bleeding hand.

“Ah, cut it,” I shrugged.

“Dude what the fuck,” Johnny laughed. “Go get it patched up.”

“Nah, it’s fine,” I chuckled a bit. I reached out to grab my beer but then remembered it was all over my jeans.

“Great.” I muttered under my breath and slunk back into my chair, diverting my attention back to Zack and Aislinn.

Damn. Aislinn.

Next to me, Johnny let out a low whistle. I cocked my head to the side and noticed him ogling at something – someone. I followed his gaze and narrowed my eyes once more.

“Who the hell is that fine piece of ass standing next Vengeance?” Johnny drooled.

“That hot piece of ass,” I air quoted, “is Aislinn you dumbshit.”

“You’re fucking joking,” he bellowed, eyes widening once more, “Gates let her step out of the house dressed like that!”

His eyes wandered over Aislinn’s body, lingering far too long on her ass. He licked his lips and suddenly I was overcome by this uncontrollable desire to punch his lights out. Get a grip Sullivan! I shook my head and folded my arms across my chest, completely forgetting about my slashed hand. Blood soaked into my shirt. Well, luckily I had chosen a black shirt.

“Quit staring at her like a piece of meat jackass.” Johnny rolled his eyes and flipped me off, but quickly averted his eyes away from Aislinn.

“Relax Rev, I ain’t planning on screwing Gates’ daughter,” He turned back to look at her.

“Although I wouldn’t mind it,” he added as an afterthought, shrugging.

My fist slammed down on the table with a loud bang, rattling the glasses that were strewn on it. A low, animal-like growl escaped my lips. Johnny jumped in his seat, fear seeping into his features. Fuming, I jumped out of my chair, knocking it over. Caring less, I stormed out of Johnny’s.
