"Jase? Who the fuck is Jase?!"

Matt stood confused, nervous...what had his Dad gotten into?

"Dad's dealer."

"Dealer? Drug dealer?"

"No his car dealer Matt, yes drug dealer!"

Remi stood running a hand through her black hair. Was it Jase? That's the only person that could pull off anything like this of course it was him.

"How does Jase know you?"

Matt asked quietly, not sure if he wanted to know the answer.

"Dad would leave me at his house, sometimes for days…as collateral."

"Collateral?”

"Yeah, Dad would need a fix but not have the money...so he would leave me there til he could get it.”

Her mind wandered back to the last time she had to stay with Jase.

His lips were warm on her neck, but Remira couldn’t feel anything but hatred towards the man.
“Come on Sweetie, I haven’t seen you in a while, I missed you.”
Jase whispered in her ear, his arms draping around her.
“Well I didn’t miss you, you sick piece of shit!”
She felt his body tense, his hand reached up closing around her throat.
“You talk to me like that?”
He hissed
“After everything? I let you stay at my house, eat my food and sleep in my bed, I think I deserve a little respect. Dont’t you?”
She couldn’t speak as Jase kept a tight hold on her throat and dragged her towards the bedroom. Ripping her shirt and tossing her on the bed, Jase climbed on top of her.

Matt pulled her from her thoughts

“So you know where Jase lives? Can’t we just tell the cops?”

“He’s not one to go quietly Matt, he has connections, people on the inside.”

Remira had been on many runs with Jase and seen the people that “work” for him.

“Well what can we do?”

Matt scratched the back of his head, thinking.

“Right now…not much…we make the wrong move and Jase won’t hesitate to put a bullet through your brain.”

They sat silent for a few minutes, knowing they couldn’t really do anything about the situation right now Remira headed up to bed.
She closed her door, thinking about how good a nice hot shower would be, giving her time to get a plan together.

“Hello”

Her blood went icy.
