Walking into the courtroom in the orange jumpsuit a cuffed Remira made desperate eye contact with her brother and the guys before she was pushed down into her seat. She sat there with her lawyer Stephen as they waited on the Judge, standing when she finally entered.

"Remira Anne Sanders, I will not be pursuing charges against you at this time. Your alibi is nothing short of airtight, BUT due to the nature of the case, the ongoing investigation and the evidence presented you will be on supervised release. You are free to go anywhere in the state of California, but you will wear the ankle monitor until further notice. Do you understand?"

"Yes Your Honor"

"If there are any problems, or anymore evidence is brought to light you can be detained once again. Do
you understand this as well?"

"Yes Your Honor"

"Ok Miss Sanders, I hope not to see you again. Hearing adjourned."

A weight seemed to lift off her chest, releasing a breath she didn’t realize she was holding.
With that Remira was led back into the jail where she was out-processed, given her clothes to change into and her new accessory. It was a small black box secured around her ankle, a green light blinking.
Gathering her belongings she was led to the front of the building, her brother and the guys were waiting.

“Matt!”

“Hey sweetie, you alright?”

“Didn’t drop the soap did you?”

Jimmy piped up, earning a giggle from Remi and a glare from Matt.

As the group made their way out to the truck Syn took her hand and ushered her into the backseat between Zacky and himself. Syn had a protective arm around her, Zack held her hand. They made the quiet trip home, walking into the house they could smell food.

"Who's here?"

She looked up at Syn, a crooked grin on his lips.

"Were ya'll able to free my jail bird?"

"Papa!"

Remi ran into the arms of Papa Gates, he had been traveling for work and she hadn't seen him in almost a year, he was the kind of Dad she always wanted.

"How are you Sweetie?"

"I'm ok, I missed you!"

She wrapped her arms around his waist, as he placed a kiss on the top of her head.

"I missed you too, I've got ribs on the grill. Hungry?"

“Of course!”

She followed Papa Gates into the kitchen, helping him prepare the sides for the meal, chatting over a beer for him and a coke for her.

"I heard about your Dad Remira...why didn't you say anything to anyone?"

She bit her lip and shook her head, willing back the tears, she didn't want to talk about this right now, not with everything else looming over her head.

"Alright, we don't have to talk about it. Why don't you go get the guys, the food is ready."

She gave him a small grateful smile before walking into the living room where the guys sat, a baseball game on the screen.

The food was delicious and the talk seemed to stay away from the current situation, though Remi did need to tell Matt what their Dad told her.
As the night wrapped up, the guys parted ways and Papa Gates made Remi promise to come see him more often.
She walked into the kitchen, Matt was putting dishes in the dishwasher.

"Matt?"

"What's up Baby Girl?"

"I need to tell you something."

This got his full attention. He became worried when he saw the look on her face, her eyes were wide and her face pale...she looked scared.

"Are you alright?"

He pulled out one of the stool at the counter and urged her onto it.

"I saw Dad, in the jail. He...he said we're in danger."

"What? How?"

"I don't know, he said something about it being his fault."

"Can you think of anything, anything or anyone that would cause him to say this?"

The realization dawned on her, why hadn't she thought of this sooner?

"...Jase."
