“Jase”
She breathed

“Hello Baby Cakes, miss me?”
He strode over, running a hand down her cheek.

“What did you do Jase? They think I killed someone.”

“Yeah I’m sorry about that, but I need you at my disposal. Some of my friends at the station also owe me me a favor, your father got himself thrown in jail, so you’re my alternative.”

“Alternative for what?”

“You’ll see.”
He strode over to the open window he came in

“Oh and Baby Cakes, if you mention any of this to your brother or his little friends well…lets just say that someone already suspected of murdering one person snapped and took out all of Avenged Sevenfold. Then when overcome with what she had done, sadly took her own life.”

Her body was numb, watching Jase climb out the window and disappear.
He not only just threatened her life, but the life of her brothers as well.
All thoughts of a shower gone, she climbed into bed turned out the light and didn’t sleep a wink that night.
***
She watched the sky lighten outside her window, jumping when she heard her door open.

“Rem?”

Matt stood in her door, evidently he didn’t sleep well last night either.

“Yeah Matty?”

“Want to go grab some breakfast?”

“Sure, let me grab a shower and I’ll be good to go.”

He nodded and left the room. Climbing in the shower she left the scalding water wash over her, trying not to think about last night. But what did he mean “alternative”? Had her dad been running errands for Jase? Being his gopher? And she couldn’t tell Matt…or the guys….what about Papa Gates? No, she didn’t want to risk it.

‘Just go with the flow Rem, until you can figure out what Jase wants.”

She told herself as she climbed out and got ready for the day.
The ride to the diner was quiet. Stepping out in the bright Cali sun they made their way inside where they took seats in an empty booth.

“So…how are you feeling?”
Matt asked stirring his coffee

“Im ok, I didn’t sleep well last night.”

“Makes two of us, figure out anything yet?”

“Nope, can’t think of anything but just waiting it out. Its beyond my control.”

“Excuse me?”

A voice came from the booth behind Remira, she turned seeing Jase sitting there an innocent smile plastered on his face.

“Would you mind if I borrowed your ketchup? Im out.”

Quickly pulling herself together she grabbed the bottle and handed it over, receiving a wink.
Of course he was going to follow her, and if it wasn’t him I’m sure he had someone else to do his dirty work.

“Rem, you ok? You look a little pale?”
Matt asked, noticing the change in her demeanor.

“Yeah, I’m good. My ribs are still a bit sore.”

The rest of the meal was spent relatively quiet, Remira trying to act normal. She could feel Jase’s eyes on her and Matt, and sure he was listening when they did speak. Standing, Matt walked back to the bathroom, Jase made his move

“Your first assignment baby, information is in the bag.”

He placed a quick chaste kiss on her head before walking out of the diner. She quickly stuffed the paper
bag into her purse before Matt came back.
Back in the SUV the edge of the bag peeked out, Remi knew what it was she didn’t even have to look. He said something about instructions. Did he want her to make a drop? She wouldn’t put it past him, a free hand to do his work.
Arriving home she beelined up to her bedroom, closing the door and making sure it was locked she dumped out the contents of her purse.
The paper bag laid among the lipgloss, receipts, pens her planner and her phone. Grabbing it she dumped it out as well, a ziplock of what she assumed cocaine, a phone and a note joined the mess.
Picking up the note she read:

Remira,

The product will be delivered to 384 Broad St between the hours of midnight and two am on the 4th, no exceptions.
The phone is to remain on at all times.
Remember Baby Cakes, I’m always watching.

- J

Checking her phone, today was the fourth.
The phone that still sat on her bed rang a cheery tune, Jase’s name appeared on the screen.
“Hello?”
She answered quickly
“Good girl.”
“Jase I don’t know if I can do this.”
She muttered, making sure no one outside her room could hear the conversation.
“Well you really have no choice now do you? So just listen to orders and everything will be ok.”
The line went dead.
Stowing the extra phone in her pocket she picked up the stark white product and put it back in the paper bag, shoving it in her purse with the rest of her stuff.

As if she didn’t have enough going on with her, now this. And how in the world was she going to get across town, she couldn’t even fucking drive yet.

Who is Jase? In surprised Matt didn't lose his shit when Matt find out Remi away their father

Clearly her dad knows more than he's letting on. Why would someone wasn't to frame Remi? How actually killed Jack? What did her father do? Rest a sure I'm staying tunned until the end

That's so effed up. How the hell can they just take her? They should be checking to see if she's telling the truth about being with the guys all day. I'm worried Remi isn't going to be let go on Monday. That it isn't going to be as easy to get her freed as everyone believes it will be
