You Will Always Be My Heart

Johnny's POV:

The day all of us had been dreading was here. It was the morning of January 6th. All of us were clothed in our suits and ties.

I felt extra stuffy but I would never disrespect Jimmy's memory by showing up in jeans and a T-shirt. Today it was strictly family and friends in attendance. While we loved our fans we needed to lay Jimmy to rest privately.

Each face was more glum than the last. Jimmy truly was loved by each and every single one of us. The world had lost a shining bright star.

I could barely pay attention to the words the minister spoke. After all he didn't know Jimmy like we did.

Barbara, Jimmy's mother, takes the podium gripping Joseph's hand. He's too choked up to speak. She tells about how energetic Jimmy was when he was younger. I lost it.

An arm pulls me close I recognize Jimmy's sister Katie. Our sobs seem never ending. We console one and other all the way to the cemetery.

The time has come to put Jimmy on the ground. There wasn't a dry eye to be seen. As they lower the casket into the ground I wasn't nothing more than to jump in with it.

Walking into my bedroom I tear the tie off my neck. The rest of my suit is torn from my body. I don't care where it lands on the floor.

My eyes go to my dresser. On top of it is a picture of Jimmy and I from one of the first shows I ever did with the guys. Tears start falling all over again.

They streak down my cheeks falling off my chin. Climbing into my bed I pull the covers up over my head. My eyes slip closed.
