Chapter Eighteen.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
My alarm clock has been going off for hours the constant ringing gave me a headache either way I was going to work with or without Danielle I mean the cash was great and all but I wanted to do something with my life instead of working in an bar and getting shit from customers I thought about enlisting in the Navy now I know what you're thinking how can a girl like me do something so dangerous without getting hurt? It's simple my friend if you put your mind to whatever you want to do you can achieve your goals that was my new motto for the rest of my life.
Watching people stumble into the bar they looked like zombies and I was their meal this was going to be the longest night of my life everyday I wait for my raise from Johnny but the day never comes I hope he doesn't feel like I'm slacking because that's the last thing I would think about doing. Danielle had finally arrived late as usual but she didn't look like herself.
She ran straight for the bathroom and I could hear her puking her brains out in the toilet this wasn't like her I need to get to the bottom of this before any of the guys suspect anything and ask any questions. I slid a note under the door... I know so middle school of me. But it was our thing and that's how we communicate.
"Dani?" I called from the side of the door.
"Just one second Jess." Dani called back.
"I'll be right outside waiting for you." I sat down at a table and waited for Dani to emerge from the bathroom and then I saw Brian come up behind me and wrap his arms around my waist that was so comfortable just being in his arms and being around him eased my anxiety. He felt like home.
"Where's your friend?" Brian asked me.
"She's puking her brains out in the bathroom."
"That can't be good." Brian kissed me.
"What was that for?" I asked.
"For nothing." Brian smirked.
For as long as Brian and I were in bliss nothing could tear us apart this was where I wanted to be with him in this moment but leaving him when I ship out for Navy boot camp it's gonna crush him and devastate our relationship and ruin everything we had planned for the rest of our lives.
