A Little Pain Is Worth The Pleasure

Before even considering moving to California my heart was dead set on Washington Spokane to be more clear with you but Jessica would be alone if I hadn't come along Matt has yet to ask me out on an actual date he has his hands full with his son and band rehearsals he has no time for dates anymore I walked outside and sat down next to Zacky who has been pretty obsessed with finding his new girlfriend Samantha he took a drag of his cigarette before proceeding to tell me more about his new nurse girlfriend she seemed like a sweet girl someone Zacky needs in his life right now.


In the next few hours I managed to bake a batch of cookies and make a huge platter of Lasagnas two to be exact when I'm upset I bake I can't say the same for other people but that's me I wanted everyone to just sit down around the table and have a decent meal they really needed one after the week they have had Matt had come back inside only because he smelled food he can be a handful sometimes but I can tell his feelings are true.


Setting the table, I saw that Brian and Jessica were arguing about something not relevant to this dinner I could see their mouths moving but I couldn't make out the words they will not bring their argument to this table not if I have anything to say about it this was not going to turn into a fight to the death I wanted a different look I look like a plain Jane and that needs to be addressed as soon as possible.


"Do you need any help ?" Matt asked.

"Woah you scared the fuck out of me!" I yelled dropping the spoons on the floor.

"Sorry sweetheart." Matt chuckled.

"It's okay can you take the second lasagna out of the oven ?" I asked.

"Sure why are you making all of this food anyway ?" Matt asked reaching into the oven.

"I want to have a dinner is that a bad thing ?" I pulled out the forks and spoons and sat them out on the table.


"No it's not." Matt smiled.

I looked out the window and saw that Jimmy and Faye were pulling into our driveway hand in hand they wouldn't let go of each other they were like two lost puppies that found their way to each other by fate in the distance I could see something silver on Faye's left finger no I don't think they eloped.


Zacky soon followed behind carrying a case of beer and he just had this disappointed look on his face I felt bad for him he will find Samantha soon I just know it he just needs to have a little more faith in himself

Johnny and his new girlfriend Macy were the last to arrive now we can get this dinner started everyone took their seats at the table this dinner can get a little bit awkward and by the looks of it I'm in for a rough night.


"Where's Brian and Jessica ?" Johnny asked.

"They had prior engagements to attend to." Zacky laughed.

I sunk down in my chair because I didn't wanted to be grossed out by my best friend's favorite sex positions in bed that's too much information for a dinner party to discuss and frankly I had no desire to engage in any sexual contact until I'm married I just haven't told anyone that.



I slowly watched as everyone conversated about topics such as babies, politics, and most importantly touring that was on everyone's mind lately the new album was so close to being finished they just need to finalize the vocals and clean up the rough guitar riffs.


"Faye and I have something we want to tell you guys." Jimmy finally spoke up.

"What is it Jimmy ?" I asked turning in his direction.

"FAYE IS NOW MRS. FAYE SULLIVAN!" Jimmy yelled.

The feeling of shock came across everyone's faces especially Matt I could tell he was not happy why would he be.
