Dont Pray For Me

NIX POV

I woke up to Zacky thrashing in the bed again. He was crying and whimpering, his body was sweaty and his hair was sticking to his face. I grabbed him and tried to wake him up "Baby wake up, please, its just a dream baby" I said over and over again until I finally got him to wake up. He looked at me and broke out in tears as he pulled me closer to him. I kissed him and told him all of us are ok before I rocked him back and forth. Over this whole month he had 8 nightmares, the nightmare was always the same one too.

I grabbed the water bottle and the pills that were prescribed for the PTSD he has, I also grabbed some xanax to make sure he wouldnt have a panic attack after he calmed down. He took them and took his place back in my arms allowing himself to be rocked until he finally calmed down.

Once he calmed down I got up and took his hand in mine, I pulled him into the bathroom and started filling up the tub. I poured some epsom salt in before I stripped him of his clothes. I let him get in and then took all my clothes off climbing in next to him as I pulled him onto my bare chest as I sang to him.

He looked up at me with those beautiful green eyes and I wiped the tears from his eyes as I kissed him. "Im falling even more in love with you, do you know that Phoenix Lynn Johnson?" he asked and I nodded before pressing my forehead to his. "Prove it" I said hoping we could have a little us time but he had other plans.

He pulled away from me and took both my hands in his, "Marry me" he said, and my mouth dropped a little bit. I had no clue what to say or what to do so I just crashed my lips onto his as he pulled me onto his lap before letting the tub drain. Once it was drained I straddled him and gently slid down on him, he groaned and let my name slip from his lips. Once we were done we sat there in each others arms, "So is that a yes?" he asked and I playfully hit his arm. "you big softy of course that is a yes" I said and he kissed me again before we both got out of the tub to get dressed. I threw on some laced underwear and a lace bra before pulling my huge sweater dress over me. I put some socks on and pulled my boots on before we headed down to the kitchen to get some food. I was so excited that soon I will be Mrs. Baker! But just before we got to the kitchen I ran to the bathroom and emptied the contents into the toilet. Ughh I dont want to be sick! I thought to myself as I rinsed my mouth out.

RAE POV

I put some food on a plate and brought it to Brian and Gretchen as they rested against the sofa. He was healing pretty fast its like hes not human! I looked over to see Zacky and Nix walking down the hall but before they got to the kitchen Nix ran to the bathroom with Zacky behind her. I hope she isnt getting that stupid bug we all had last week, I thought as I put some food on a plate for her and Zacky.

I made her favorite: a bacon sandwich with ketchup and a slice of bread with mayo, avocado, and salt. I put bacon and eggs on Zackys plate with toast, and then I made my own plate of food. I heard how Zack woke up and decided that Id make breakfast for them since they were having another rough morning.

I sat next to Matt and he ate from my plate as the rest of the group devoured their food. Once Nix and Zacky came in I walked up to them and gave both of them a hug, God knows they fucking need it. I held Zacky until he pulled back, the poor man looks like he hasnt slept in his whole life, he was kind of pale, had bags under his eyes and he wasnt styling his hair anymore.

When Nix sat down she looked at the food and put her hand to her mouth while she ran to the bathroom to throw up again. "yep, shes definitely sick" I told Matt who frowned over in my direction. Nix came back in and ate an apple instead of the food I made her, she hopped up on the counter and Zacky stood up, clearing his throat as he walked over to Nix.

"So I have some good news" he said as he took Nixs hand in his, "Nix and I are engaged" he said, and at that moment Jimmy, Gretchen and I rushed over trying to hug her at the same time.

We asked her about the ring but she said it was a spur of the moment thing and told us they would be picking it out soon. Everyone congratulated them and decided to get some alcohol to celebrate. Brian couldnt go so I made everyone stay home while Nix Gretchen and I went to the store.

We grabbed the grocery list from Matt and looked it over to see what they all wanted. Of course, pizza, chicken, soda, vodka, whiskey, beer and candy. "How the hell are we not obese" Nix said as she pulled out 3 cigarettes, lighting them and hopping in the car. I turned the key and drove to the store, we quickly got everything we needed and headed back to the car when Nix told me she forgot to grab something and ran back inside. Gretchen and I talked and decided to set Johnny up on a date with a very good friend of hers. Once Nix was back she hopped in and put the bag on the floor.

NIX POV

When we got home I put the bag in my purse and helped bring in the bags. We put the pizza in the oven and everyone went out back with Jimmy to grill the chicken we bought. I grabbed my purse and my phone and walked through my room to the bathroom.

I shut and locked the door, lit a cigarette and paced back and forth. I opened the window and looked out at the clouds, then the yard before blowing smoke out the window. I grabbed my water bottle and chugged the whole thing. I took my phone out and went on facebook for a minute. I blew more smoke out the window and put the cigarette out in the ashtray on the ledge of the window.

I pulled the bag from my purse and read the box that was inside of it, 5 minutes is all it would take to find out if I am pregnant or not. If I am how would I tell Zacky? My doctor said theres no way in hell I would ever have kids! Im not fertile! My mind raced as I took the test and set it on the counter. I couldnt be pregnant, next week is the 28th and we had a set plan in place that would be ruined if I turned out to be pregnant.

That was definitely the longest couple minutes of my life, I thought as I grabbed the test and looked down at it.

GRETCHEN POV

Even though I found out what these people really do I felt more at home than I ever had in my life! They even agreed on teaching me how to protect myself if it came down to it, which means shooting guns!

I walked out towards the pool and called a very good friend of mine names Lyric. "Its Michaels hit me" she spoke through the phone to me.

"Hey its me, you at the shop?" I questioned when I heard her tattoo gun buzzing in the background. "Yes mam, are you gonna come see me?" she asked and I decided since I just got paid maybe I could take Johnny to see her soon.

"You bet, and I have someone for you to meet!" I shrieked at her. The last time I tried to hook her up with someone it didnt end so well, and when he went to strike Lyric she ended up putting his ass on the floor. Theres no doubt shes a badass and also my best friend!

"Oh this should be fun" she said to me in a nontrusting way. "No, trust me! youre going to like this one, I promise!" I said before saying my goodbyes and hanging up the phone
