Michelle's Pov
Oh my god, Brian's gonna propose me? But.....Damn it! I'm going to Paris next week for God knows how long and Brian's planning to propose!

"Look, Chelle. I don't wanna scream at you. Think about your decision again. You can't just leave all of us like that. That's impossible!" Val said. "I already thought about this. Mom and Dad have no objections. They're happy, why can't you be?!" I huffed.

"How come none of you guys bothered to tell me about this?!" Val screamed. "I did not think it was important for you to know about it. I already knew what you would say." I said trying to keep my patience. "Are you kidding me? I'm your sister!" Val said as she got up from the bed. "Yes, you are my sister and that's why I'm telling this to you. I didn't plan on telling about this to anyone except you, Mom and Dad." I said.

"Not even Brian?!" Val hissed. "Things are not working between Brian and I for some time now. So what's the big deal if I don't tell him about it?" I said. "Oh my god, Chelle! You and Brian have been together for so long. And you're planning to leave him just like that?" Val said angrily.

"I've decided that I'm going. And no one can change my mind!" I said crossing my arms. "You're impossible! Have you thought how Brian's gonna take this? What if he does something stupid?! You can't just leave like that!" Val spat angrily.

"Val, I'm old enough. And I can do whatever I want to. And no one can fucking stop me! Not you, not Mom or Dad, and definitely not Brian!" I screamed and went down. "Michelle!" I heard my sister scream loudly. The main door opened and Mom and dad came inside. "Tell her something!" I shouted pointing at Val. "Val, when did you come?" Dad asked. "How can you guys let her go just like that?!" Val asked them.

"I am a big girl now and can take my own decisions! I don't need your advice!" I glared at Val as I spoke. "If you're a big girl, then handle this situation like a big girl. Don't just leave without telling anyone!" she screamed.

"Stop it you two!" Dad said strictly and we all froze. He glanced between Val and I before speaking. "We could not even enter the house properly and you two have started already!" he scolded. "In the living room. Now!" Dad said as we followed his instruction. "What is the matter?" Mom asked as she and Dad sat in front of us. "She can't leave!" Val started. "I can do whatever I wanna do!" I spat back. "Both of you, keep it low." Mom said and looked at me. "Chelle, you speak first." she said.

"I asked Val to come over so that I can surprise her about me going to Paris. But she started arguing!" I said. "What's the problem, Val?" Dad asked. "Dad, we're all here. What is she gonna do alone in Paris?" Val said bitterly. "I got a job over there, Val. Try and understand!" I said.

"Fine, go wherever you want. But why haven't you told Brian about it yet?" Val asked. "He does not need to know where I go or what I do. I'm planning to end things between us." I said looking directly into my sister's eyes. "What!" Val said extremely surprised. "We support Chelle in this too. She told is about her and Brian, and we think she's doing the right thing." Dad said.

"Dad, how can you say that? Brian's planning to....." Before Val could speak any further, I spoke up.

"Val, stop it! Don't say a single word!" I screamed. "I knew it! I fucking knew that you don't have a problem with Brian. You just wanna leave for Paris!" Val said. "What are you saying?" Dad asked Val. "Nothing, Dad." I said quickly. "Chelle, let her speak." Mom said and I cursed under my breath. "What were you saying Val?" Mom asked.

"Mom, Brian's planning to propose Chelle next Sunday. And she is planning to leave him!" Val said angrily.

"Is this true?" Mom asked me. "Mom, I...." I stuttered. "Answer me." Mom said and I nod my head. "Then why are you going to Paris? Can't you and Brian sort out everything between you two?" Dad asked. "Dad, how can I miss going to Paris? I'm getting such a good job." I said. "What's more important to you? This job or Brian?" Mom asked. Val gave me a piercing look and crossed her arms.

"I want this job at any cost and I'm going for it." I said and Val's jaw dropped open. "End of discussion." Mom said and I went to my room. Lisa called me and we talked for a while. "You coming next week, right?" Lisa asked. "Yep, next Monday." I said. We talked for a while until Val came in. "Lisa, I'll call you back tomorrow. Okay?" I said and hung up.

"What now? If you're here to change my mind, then don't fucking waste your energy." I said. "I just wanna say one thing." she said. "What?" I asked crossing my arms. "Do whatever you want to, but don't break Brian's heart. He's a good guy." she said. "I'm leaving next Monday. If that breaks Brian's heart, then I'm sorry I can't do anything about it." I said.

"You still have a whole week ahead of you, Chelle. Think about it again." Val said and left. I think I know what to do. I look at my phone and mutter, "Jesus Christ."

Valary's Pov
"I can't believe you're actually letting her go." I said to my parents. "Val, I think your sister can take her own decisions now." Mom said. "And one of you thought about Brian?!" I asked. "Chelle told us she was gonna end things with him. So...." Mom trailed off. "So you thought let him go through hell while Chelle works in Paris?!" I said angrily.

"Things are already decided, Val. If Chelle wants to go, we'll let her go. If she's happy, we're happy." Dad said. "But Dad, Brian already planned everything. He bought the ring, prepared a speech for Michelle. He's ready to propose her. And if Chelle leaves now, Brian will be devastated." I said, thinking about how happy Brian was today.

"Honey, we care about Brian too. We have known him for a long time. But we can't force Chelle into something she doesn't want. Try and understand " Mom said. "I am actually speechless now." I said shaking my head. I grabbed my bag from the living room and started to leave. "Val...." My parents said in unison. "I need to go home. I've had enough for a day." I said and left.

The whole way back home all I saw in front of my eyes was Brian's face. God, he was so happy this morning. How would he react when Chelle refuses his proposal? I don't want him to get hurt. "You're home early. See, I didn't take out the xbox again. And I came back from Zacky's in time." Matt said as I entered the house.

Shit, how would Matt react if I tell him? "Where are you lost?" he snapped his fingers in front of my face and I looked at him.

"Matt, I need to tell you something." I said after a while. "Okay. But first, I wanna tell you something." he said and I looked at him. "I'm so sorry for the last few days. I sat in front of the TV the whole day and didn't give you time." he said.

My eyes started to tear up and a few drops trickled down my cheeks. "Val, whar happened?" Matt asked in a worried tone. I couldn't stop myself and let it all out. "Ssh, tell me what's wrong." Matt held me and we sat down on the couch. "What happened, babe?" he asked taking my hands in his.

"Chelle...." I said and my voice cracked. "Yeah, what happened to Chelle?" he asked. "....is leaving." I cried putting ny head on Matt's chest. "Leaving? What are you saying?" Matt asked and I told him everything.

"She can't leave, it's impossible." Matt said. "I tried to explain her so much but she didn't listen to me. What's gonna happen to Brian now?" I cried as Matt hugged me tightly. "We're gonna come up with an idea. We won't let Chelle leave like that, alright?" Matt said and I nodded my head.
