I Will Wait For You

Matt looks less than relieved about my outburst.

Brian definitely looks relieved.

Alexa looks like she's just seen a ghost.

Jimmy looks like he's actually happy about this.

Johnny looks like he wants to be anywhere but here right now.

And Zach... Zach looks like he's going to kill Matt.

Why?

"What?" Alexa finally squeaks out. I don't even know what to say, now. All I can do is stare at her.

"Lakyn?" Matt's right next to me, now. He's looking at me for answers.

"Lakyn? Please, honey... please wake up."

Mom? Is that you?

"I'm here for you, honey. Please come back to us. We miss you."

I'm here, mom. Where are you?

I'm trying to look around for her, but all I see is darkness...

"Lakyn?" Someone is shaking me now. I can open my eyes, finally!

Light! I see light!

I... I see Alexa and Matt... Brian, Zach, Jimmy, Johnny....

"Are you okay? Oh my gosh! You scared the shit out of me!" Alexa says, wrapping her arms around me, in a tight hug.

"What's going on?" I ask, confused.

"You told us you were pregnant, and then you proceeded to stare off into space, before you fainted."

"Fainted?"

"Has this been happening a lot lately?" Matt asks, helping me up, and keeping his arm around me for support. "You've fainted twice that I know of in the past couple of weeks... do you have a history of fainting?"

"No. This is only the second time that I know of."

"Maybe we should get you to the doctor. You should check on the baby." Brian says, eyes wide with concern.

"No!" I say, a little too eagerly. I glance at Alexa, and she's biting her lip. "I- I mean no... I'm fine, we don't need to do that."

"I really think it would be a good idea." Brian is being persistant.
