There Is No Me Without You

**Brian's POV**

The next few days at school was awkward as Michelle always walked to school with Val and wherever Val went Matt went and Wherever Matt went the rest of us went so I had no choice but to see Michelle. Thankfully no one had asked about us, but by fuck did everyone in the school think I was a dickhead for breaking up with Michelle I occasionally got the 'are you crazy?' or the 'why would you let her get away?' my answer was simple 'Cheating Bitch' which Val didn't like all that much but didn't say anything about, I think she knew herself that Michelle was wrong and not me. I was just glad that today was the last day then onto the weekend, which we had all promised to have a band name before and Gemma got to see us practice plus Matt was having a pool party at his for his sister's birthday which we were all invited too. I hadn't really spoke to Gemma since the whole Michelle thing and the blacking out stuff, she was always with Zacky lately they were either hanging out or at Gemma's cuddled up watching a film or just talking sometimes it was hard as I would lie in my bed wondering how differently things would have been if I was there and not him. I hated thinking that way as Zacky was my best friend I would take a bullet for him and he would do the same for me. I don't want to let a girl step in the way of that but I couldn't help the feeling I had for her but I wouldn't hurt Zacky in a way that I would break his heart. The only conclusion left was to sit back and watch and just be her friend. I could feel it happening now, that depressive state you go into where there is no turning back. I had to get out of here. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and text Matt and Jimmy 'hey wanna ditch last class and go to the spot?' I hit send and within minutes I got a text from both of them agreeing to go after this class was over which was good because that was just about to happen. I started packing my shit into my bag, and ran for the door when the bell rang and luckily Matt and Jimmy were at my locker waiting on me, as I got closer I could hear people whisper about me and Michelle and I had had enough I dropped my bag and turned to face no one in particular "The fuck is everyone's problem? So what if I broke up with her? She wasn't worth the trouble! If you think I lost out got for it and see for yourself but fuck me stop whispering if you have a fucking problem come and tell me I won't be long in putting you to your knees!" I shouted, picked my bag up and walked out the school with Matt and Jimmy following suite. "You ok dude? Do I need to get the booze?" Jimmy asked as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder, all I could do is nod at that moment. I need booze and Shit load of it!


It was getting dark and I was drunk out of my mind, I had a great day after Mr Booze got involved Jimmy chased ducks Matt wrestled the bushes and I just smoked and drank my way to a mind numbing oblivion! Jimmy and I had come up with nicknames for ourselves and Matt and was determined that we would use them as stage names, I was Synyster Gates Jimmy was The Reverend Tholomew Plague or Rev and Matt was M.Shadows. They were all pretty cool but probably wouldn't remember them in the morning. We were sitting in our spot in the park and Matt and Jimmy were talking about the band and names and stuff when out of nowhere I blurted out "I love Gemma you know!" It was quite for a good 30 seconds before Matt spoke "Have you told her this?" I shook my head and almost fell off the tree stump I was sitting on "Woah, No I haven't and I can't be-cause sh-she loves Zacaaahky." I was beyond out my face I was completely and utterly trampolined. "Dude I think its time for you to go home and sleep before you burst, you clearly have some issues you shouldn't be drinking with. C'mon lets get you home!" Jimmy smiled and lifted me from the tree stump I was half on half off. "Yeah dude, your drunkerer than me!" Matt slurred as he stood up he lost his balance a little but managed to stay on his feet, me on the other hand I was out the game Jimmy had me over his shoulder carrying me. I couldn't remember the walk or should I say lift home all I remember was Jimmy sitting me on my front door step kissing my head and walking away. I was really tired now and all I wanted was my. I stood up and puled my key from my back pocket and opened the door quietly and walked up the stairs no one was awake so I had less chance of getting caught my dad probably thought I was still at one of the guys houses. I reached my room door and opened it turning on my light and immediately turning it back off, it was a wrong move my head was pounding, the alcohol was draining from my body and I could feel it wearing off, I took my shoes and shirt off and walked to my window and opened the curtains being greeted instantly by Gemma's sleeping body facing my window. I smiled, she wouldn't mind if I went in a snuggled would she? I shook my head answering my own question and took the step from my window to Gemma's and silently crept over to her bed and getting in quietly. I could feel the warmth of her body and it was welcoming, I felt like I was right at home but I also felt like a shit friend to Zacky. Jimmy was right I did have issues with myself that needed sorting out but right now I was drunk and I was in bed with the love of my life, right now things were going well considering. I turned on my side and snaked my arm around her waist pulling her to me until my face was buried in her hair. "hmmm Brian" she mumbled and let out a slight moan and a soft snore followed. It was great to know she dreamt about me just like I did her. I cuddled her tightly and closed my eyes thinking about what will unfold tomorrow I fell into a dreamless sleep.
