Untold Misfortunes

Code Black

Matt's Point of View
Alarms went off right away in my head. Who was after her? Who had made her like this and why was she so distraught over this?
I picked her up, noting that I should remind her to eat some more. I took her upstairs and into her old room. It hadn't changed much since she's been gone. The sheets and blankets were still that deep burgundy, and her walls a soft cream shade. We kept everything the same for her, in case she ever wanted us back in her life.
I placed her on the bed, tucking a blanket around her small frame. I stared down at her for quite some time, missing how our friendship used to be and how she scared of this man chasing her.
I went down to the kitchen, grabbing her a glass of water and setting it beside her when I had walked back up to her room. I brushed her hair out of the way, pressing a light kiss to her forehead before making my departure from the house.

Ivy's Point of View
It was difficult to breathe, like I had someone sitting on my stomach, pressing down, not quite cutting off my air supply but definitely making it difficult. My eyes snapped open as I took in huge gasps of air. My eyes frantically sought out the source of my discomfort and when my eyes landed on him, my whole world plummeted.
"Good, you're awake," Luka said, as he got off my stomach. "See, choking you would be too obvious and you'd freak out, but sitting on your stomach, well that works way better." He sneered at me. I curled myself into a ball, not giving him satisfaction by me saying anything.
How had he gotten in? I didn't really remember how I even got to my old room. I briefly remember that Matt was here, but other than that, I didn't know.
"Hey Ivy," Luka said, snapping my attention to him. "Remember that game we use to play?" He asked, sliding a knife out of his waistband. My blood ran cold.
"Not that game, Luka." I said, slowly uncurling myself and sitting up. I mentally prepared myself to take off running. Except, Luka had perfectly placed himself to where he could easily cut me.
You see, the game, Run or Cut, is a lot like Hide n' Seek; however, if Luka finds me, I have a new little cut on my body. He discovered this game soon after he started abusing me. This game was his favorite way of getting me to succumb to whatever he wanted me to do. In this case, to be his girlfriend again. My goal, was to get away from him in any way that I could.
"I'll give you enough time to hide. Make it good." He laughed and moved out of my way. I took off at a sprint, running through my brother's house like it was no man's land. I could easily run outside and go to someone's house, but he'd expect that. He more than likely has something already to set up to catch me if I tried that.
My mind pondered a thousand different hiding spots and the layout of the house, before I realized that my brother had a small little room in the back of his closet. He kept his dirty pleasures in there, but Luka wouldn't find me there. I could call the police or someone. I could be safe.
"Ready or not, here I come, sweet cheeks!" I heard Luka call out then his thundering footsteps. I sprinted into my brother's room, ducking into the small room and closing it off. I heard him running through the house, screaming out my name and his cruel laughter. I patted down my body, finding my phone. I stared at it.
I could call the police, they'd arrest him and lock him away for years. Although, he always told me he had connections and what if he had connections with the police. I couldn't risk it. So I dialed the only other number I knew by heart.
"Ivy?" His voice rang out through the phone.
"Code Black, Matt. Code Black."
