Missing In Action

It was mid May and all the students of Huntington Beach High School were ready for Summer. Elliot ignored Arin the best she could. It was hard but manageable. He hanged around with London and Addie again, which pissed off Elliot as she messed up her relationship with Jimmy just for an unknown number, which hasn't texted for ages.

“Are you aloud to come over tonight?” Hannah asked Elliot.

“Family thing, sorry.” Elliot said as she got to her locker.

It was lunch and Elliot was deciding to skip the rest of the day.

“It's fine, I understand.” Hannah said as they both went to the front doors.

Elliot smiled weakly and hugged her friend. Hannah watched her friend go and sighed. She looked over to Arin and saw him looking at the door where Elliot had just gone. Hannah looked at London and saw that she had a smirk on her face, as she was looking down at her phone.

Suddenly Hannah got a sick feeling as she saw London's smirk. She glared at her and then saw Arin walk to her.

“What do you want?” Hannah spat.

“She's in danger.” Arin said.

“How do I know your not playing me?”

“I have messages to prove it,” Arin said quietly, deeply ashamed of himself.

Hannah sighed and motioned Arin to follow her outside. The two of them walked out into the court and sat near the bleachers.

“Who's texting her?”

“I don't know that,” Arin said as Hannah looked through all of the messages.

“We need to tell Matt.” Hannah said as she stood up.

Arin sighed. He then looked away.

“It's too late, the person already has her.”

“This is not true!”

“Hannah calm down,”

“Calm down? My best friend has been kidnapped by some random guy!”

“Just wait until the end of the day and then we can go to Matt.” Arin said as the bell went off.

Hannah scoffed and shook her head but agreed with him. Arin weakly smiled and went to his lesson while Hannah went to hers, thinking about how Elliot had gotten into all of this mess?
Slowly the time ticked away and once it was the end of the day, Hannah got all of her stuff and ran out of school. She waited for Arin by her car.

“Matt's or her parents?” Arin asked.

“Matt's,” Hannah said as she buckled up and left the parking lot.

The car ride was silent. No noise whats so ever. The tension was building up as they got closer and closer to Matt's house.

“Here we are,” Arin said as he looked out the window.

Hannah breathed in and sighed.

“He's not going to believe us,” she said as they got out of her car.

“I'll show him the texts.” Arin said.

Hannah nodded her head and knocked on the door. Bella barked and they both heard Matt tell her to move.

“Hannah? Arin? What can I do?” Matt asked both of the teens.


“Can we come in a minute?” Hannah asked.

“I'm kinda busy with the guys,”

“It's urgent.” Arin said.

Matt sighed and nodded his head. He opened the door wider and invited them in. The three went into the living room where everyone else was.

“Why are you two here?” Brian asked.

“We need to tell you something.” Hannah said as she was starting to panic.

“Well...?” Matt said.

“Someones kidnapped Elliot.” Arin said.

“That's a lie.” Matt said crossing his arms.

“I have message to prove it, from the kidnapper and London Silver.”

Matt held out his hand for Arin's phone. The others crowed around Matt and saw all of the messages, from both people.

“We need to call the cops and tell my Mom and Dad.” Matt said as he handed Arin his phone back.

The seven of them ran out of the house and got into cars, the band into Matt's car, while Arin and Hannah in Hannah's.
