Erin’s P.O.V
It was over half way into the summer after my Freshman year of High School and I was so excited to be out in the sun and just hanging out with my friends instead of being back and forth between my parents houses since they had just gone through a nasty divorce. I mainly stayed with my father because he was more financially stable and he didn’t become manically depressed after the divorce. After a long day at the beach my father was waiting for me at home with my favorite homemade vanilla bean ice cream.
“What’s the occasion Dad?” I asked and he just took a deep breath and smiled.
“I love you little lady… you have made me so happy having you be here… but since I am a talent scout and becoming a producer I have to move back to California. So you have a decision to make. Do you want to stay here with mom or do you want to go back to Huntington with me and we will fight for me to have full custody of you?” He said and I just took a huge bite of ice cream moving my long hair away from my face.
“Can I sleep on it and get back to you in the morning?” I asked and he smiled.
“Of course honey; now let’s move this party to the couch! I rented Evil Dead because I know that it is your favorite!” He said happily.
“Wow pappy pulling out all the stops!” I said and we both started laughing like a bunch of hyenas and about half way through the movie I passed out from the long day.
Matt’s P.O.V
Jimmy, Zack, Brian and I were sitting in my basement and we were just listening to a little Iron Maiden and Metallica rocking the fuck out and Val made her way downstairs and she always brought her sister Michelle over.
“I snuck some tequila down here… Do you guys wanna party??” Val said and I just smiled and everyone cooed over the booze. We passed the bottle around and after it was emptied we all lied around staring at the ceiling.
“Matt… do you remember that girl who used to live down the street and always played X-box with us?” Jimmy asked and I totally froze remember my childhood friend Erin… but I put it aside and since Val was here and Erin was in Texas I played it cool.
“I remember her but I don’t really know what she looks like anymore… she was fun but now I am a man and right next to a beautiful woman!” I said and Val turned her body towards me and she smiled. I was completely happy right now… I always knew though that Erin would always be my bestfriend.
Erin’s P.O.V
After 3 days I had finally decided that I wanted to help my father gain full custody of me and move to Huntington with him. We had met with multiple lawyers and we were finally able to get my mom to sign the papers after a huge freakout from her earlier this morning. She was very unhappy to learn that I wanted nothing to do with her anymore. I sat at home with my dad eating a grilled cheese sandwich and he smiled at me.
“So are you excited to be moving home?” He asked me and I smiled and he had shown me pictures of this huge house that we were moving into at the end of our old street. It was gated and had a huge backyard with a pool and hot tub and I even had a balcony that was outside of my room overlooking the entire neighborhood.
“Now I know that you had plans tomorrow… but we are leaving tomorrow” He said and my face fell because I made plans with my bestfriends as a going away thing… but after the first time of moving I knew that either way he was gonna make me go so I sucked it up and just texted them telling that I was sorry and that we were leaving tomorrow. I was irritated with my father but really I guess it was for the best. After a good amount of packing and hanging along with folding.. I was ready for tomorrow. I fell soundly to sleep and I awoke to my dad yelling at the moving people. I ran downstairs in my tank top and shorts and shot an evil glare at my dad.
“WILL YOU SHUT UP!” I yelled and he just laughed and I jumped on his back and he spun me around.
“You are going to enjoy this Erin.. it will be tough but I am sure that you can reconnect with some of your childhood friends.. I hear from Gary that Matt still lives on that street along with Jimmy” My dad said and I hopped down and just tried to fully remember Matt… but it had been so long I don’t think I could remember what he looked like. I ran upstairs and brushed my hair and put on some dark wash skinny jeans and a black Metallica spaghetti strap and threw my flats on and bolted downstairs and grabbed my bag meeting my dad in the car.
“I swear baby girl… this will be good for us… it is where we are meant to be” My dad said as we drove to the airport. Around 7 hours later we were grabbing our bags and making our way to our new house and our new life as a father daughter team. Some of our stuff was being moved inside and I saw a tall man moving a personal box of mine and I grabbed it on my tip toes from him.
Jimmy’s P.O.V
Matt, Zacky, Brian, Hannah (Zacky’s sister) and I sat on my porch just watching the house up the street and were observing the mass amount of stuff that they had… they even had stuff for recording music. I saw this red haired girl get out of the car and damn.. she was a sight and I saw all of the guys staring at her.
“Well at least she is a looker!” I said and all the guys laughed.
“She definitely has a nice ass that is for sure!” Zacky said and Hannah swatted his arm.
“She looks like a nice girl and I am sure that she is going to go to our school…. Which I am definitely dreading starting the school year…” Hannah said and all of us groaned knowing that we were going to start school soon.
“She kinda looks familiar…” I said and then shrugged and I looked over cause Matt was rather quiet.
“Earth to Matt.. you okay dude?” I asked drumming some beats to the music that was blaring out of the speakers. We watched the girl get on her tip toes… that ass… damn… everyone was interested in her. But after she set the box down she turned and we all saw the Metallica shirt that she was wearing.
“DUDE FUCK YEAH!” Matt said loudly and we just laughed and we saw the girls eyes come up and she spotted us and like the crazy cool guy I was I waved at her and she waved and grabbed the box and walked inside the house… she was one cool chick so far.
