Jimmy’s POV

Those eyes. Those god damn blue eyes that sucked out my soul and thoughts and threw them on the floor. What was she, some kind of beautiful sorceress? I had no idea but I couldn’t get her face out of my head. It was literally the only thing in there and that was an absolutely first for me. I was fucking stunned. Did she have a magical stun beam in her eyes?

It fucking felt like it, damn. She was all that I could think about on my mission. Jess…that beautiful creature had taken part of my mind captive and I had to get it back. Hell, I needed that to play the drums, write shit, and come up with evil plans! Not to mention carry out operation Sullivan Explosion. Yes, it was about an evening of fun for the girls and I and no one could stop us, especially not those party poopers Gates and Shadows. They really needed to learn to share more and I hoped this little excursion would teach them a lesson. Maybe next time we could bring Jess along. Yes, my redheaded Knife Mistress would do nicely on an adventure like this.

“Jimmy? Where are you taking us now?” Little One panted as I dragged her and Maya through the streets of Columbus, Ohio. I knew exactly where I was going, but to them it was a complete surprise. We would reach our destination in about three more blocks…we were so close that I could almost taste it. Did fun have a taste? I hoped so, maybe like waffles or another one of those amazing steak burritos. Fuck yeah!

I stopped and pulled her up onto my back since she was slowing Knife Girl and I down. “Patience Little One, patience. Everything will become clear,” I said in a low timbre, making Maya giggle. “We’ve got to get past test numero dose so El Revero can indoctrinate you into the secret society.”

“We don’t have to drink blood or anything crazy do we?” Avery’s voice trembled and Maya and I just laughed. She was really new with all this but that would all change in about ten seconds.

“Not tonight, but one day little one, I will make you an official member of my immortal club,” I laughed, feeling Maya’s hand squeeze me. With that pressure, I felt a sudden wave of relaxation wash over me; even those I could still only see those haunting blue eyes. “Here we are!” I screeched, waving my arms in front of the tall gate in front of us. “We are so close I can fucking taste it!”

“What is this place, Jimmy?” Maya took a step forward and then looked up at the sign. I giggled lightly as I tried to contain my excitement because I knew they would love what was on the other side of this fence. It would be our own little escape, well at least for a few minutes. “Columbus Park? What’s here?”

“Shhh…stop asking questions and watch carefully,” I dropped the little gnome back to her feet and kneeled down, taking out a screw driver and a bobby pin and started to work on the lock.

“What are you doing? What if we get caught?!” I looked over my shoulder with a mischievous smirk only to see Avery looking panicked. “Isn’t this illegal?”

“Only if you get caught,” Maya answered for me. God I knew there was a reason I loved that girl! Would Jess be just as good a spy buddy as Maya? I didn’t know but I wanted to find out. That redheaded beauty intrigued me and made my heart stop in my chest when I first saw her. I wanted to know her…to be with her…something just told me it was my destiny. “Relax and just live a little bit. It’s not every day that we get to go on a secret mission and escape the world as we know it.

“Exactly…AND I’ve got it!” I shrieked, jumping to my feet and startling Avery. “And the next one is yours little gnome.”

“Wh-what?!” she stammered as I grabbed her hand and pulled her through the gates. I looked both ways before I shut them. Perfect, no one had seen us so we had at least twenty minutes before anyone noticed a disturbance in the force. “I-I don’t know anything about picking locks or breaking and entering!”

“Well tonight you are going to learn…come one let’s go!” I grab both girls’ arms and raced towards the part of the park I had been longing for. My favorite part of any park—the carousel.

“No fucking way!” Maya’s face lit up as soon as she saw it and she came running and jumping into my arms. “How did you know this was here? It’s like the perfect place to sneak on and ride one…it’s been years!” she gushed, moving over to hug the little gnome, who still looked very uncertain. She would lighten up after she lived a little bit, I was sure. And if not, the marry jane in my backpack would certainly do the trick. “Remember that time at the mall when we were kids, Ave?”

“Yeah, but it’s not even on. How are we going to ride it?” I threw my head back and laughed, handing her the bobby pin and screwdriver.

“I thought you’d never ask, little one. Come on, phase one of your test starts now…” I took her by the arm and lead her over to the control box that was only protected by a small hand lock. These mere mortals had no idea what I was capable of, and no simple puny could keep out Jimmy the Rev Sullivan. I ate shit like this for breakfast…well maybe not but it still sounded badass.

“I-I don’t know, Jimmy,” Those blue eyes turned to look and me and I just chuckled. She was always so afraid of everything. What was getting arrest anyway? A trip in a fucking car and in my opinion a fun one because A) I didn’t have to walk and B) they turned on the lights!

“It’s easy, just put your hand here and here,” I instructed, moving her hands as we both kneeled on the concrete. “And twist and push until you hear the little click. Trust me, Maya, and yourself and it will work out in our favor. I’m counting on you, little gnome!”

With that I stood up and backed towards Maya, ignoring that little panicked look on Avery’s face again. It was time for her to grow up and spread her wings like the beautiful bird she was. Hopefully she didn’t take a dump on this task or I would literally cry and make Gates come pick her up. I was holding a lot of faith in this mission on the little gnome and I wanted her to follow threw, god damn it!

“So what happened back at camp?” Maya asked as I snaked my arm around her waist and pulled her to my side. Her presence calmed me and I knew that it was a good idea to bring both of them along. We would all get enjoyment out of this night, and not just me.

I raised my brow and looked down at her before narrowing my eyes. What was she talking about? Had she seen me sneaking up on them from the Berry’s spy equipment on the bus? Speaking of that, we should probably check on that situation early in the morning. They will all be so hung over and still drunk that they wont know what happened…and maybe just maybe I could catch a sight of that breathtakingly beautiful creature. “I don’t know what you’re talking about, spy!”

Maya threw her head back and laughed. “I’m not a spy, Jimmy. I was talking about what happened with Jess,” she giggled, putting her chin on my shoulder as Avery cursed to our left. Well at least she wasn’t backing out and that right there gave me hope. “Why were you so quiet? Do you know her from somewhere?”

As soon as Maya mentioned that name, that beautiful face came spiraling back into my line of vision and I couldn’t help but smile. Those haunting blue eyes with that red hair…hell I could tell she was free spirit. Fuck I could feel it! Just that look in her eyes told me that we would instantly understand each other and I wanted more. I would secretly take up talking to her, make her my own personal secret mission. But first, I had to make certain that she was human…and what better way to do that then to get down and dirty?

“Jimmy? Jimmy?!” I felt my body move and I shook my head, coming back from the depths of my brain. That was it, the girl had mind powers! She was controlling my brain!

“She has mind powers,” I muttered, shaking my head and staring straight ahead of me. I could still see those eyes as clear as day. “It’s those eyes!”

“What are you talking about?” Maya’s voice sounded next to me but I was still too consumed in my own thoughts about the girl. “Did you like her?”

“Like her?” I threw my head back and laughed, my hands holding my stomach. “She will be my queen…tell no one.” I said, suddenly serious. “Only powers as strong as ours should be together, no offense…” I couldn’t shake the feeling that I needed to be with her. Hell I didn’t know anything about her but that didn’t matter in my mind, she would be mine. That was my new mission when we got back—Operation Blue Sorcery.

“If you want I can put in a good word for you, she seems like a really sweet gal,” Maya was still talking but I honestly wasn’t listening. I was planning my next move with the girl, well that is until Avery stood up dancing and cheering with the lock in her hand. “Great job, little gnome!”

“Perfect,” I smiled, moving over and running my hands over all the buttons on the control panel. One of them had to give us what we wanted and sure enough, the carousel turned on and started to move with the lights and music. “Quick! Get on!” I yelled, grabbing both of the girls and pulling them onto the ride.

Within seconds, we were all on a horse as the ride spun around and around, laughing and carrying on as if this were the most natural thing in the world. And it was in my book. Fuck this was fun. “I’ve got something to make this even better!” I cheered, pulling out three tall boys PBR’s and the Marry Jane. “Your next test to pass is to drink this and smoke this before the end of the ride.”

Maya and Avery exchanged as glance but opened up their beers anyway. I’m glad they finally just decided to listen to me and take my advice. Yes, they would make fine additions to my club. Muahaha. “On your mark, get set go!” I yelled, the three of us shot gunning the beers and tossing the cans.

“Ugh…I hate this stuff,” Avery gagged as she finished her last sip. Though I had to admit that I was proud of my little one. She was growing up so fast. “Give me that so I can forget about that awful taste!”

“Ave what are you—“ Maya asked just as she reached over and grabbed the joint out of my hand and took a few long drags. Yes, that’s a good girl. Now our party could really start. “Well, pass it over here so you don’t completely lose your damn mind. Who are you and what have you done with Avery Jacobson?”

“She’s taking a nap and will return in the morning,” she giggled, her eyes quickly growing puffy.

“Well I hate to break it to you but—“ I was suddenly cut off by the sound of sirens and both Maya and Avery sprung to their feet. Oh, so there were the coppers. I was wondering when they would finally show up. The ride had only been blaring music for the past forty minutes. I knew it was time to move on anyway. Now was the fun part. “Grab your shit and get ready to run like you’ve never run before!”

“Jimmy what if they—“

“RUN!” I screamed just as the front gate opened and we all dashed into the wooded part of the park. Luckily it was dark and the police would have a hard time seeing us. Damn this rush felt amazing and I knew the guys would be pissed that they missed this, but fuck them. It was my night with the girls. “Now if I remember correctly…there is a back exit and I’m sure we can escape and then it’s on to the next destination.”

“There’s more?” Maya asked, her eyes alive as she dragged Avery. We could hear yelling behind us but they would never catch us. I was the fucking Knife Master for crying out loud!

“Of course there’s more, quick this way!” I pulled them threw a dark tunnel that lead into an ally way and once we were back on the street I knew we were safe. At least that’s what my drug and adrenaline induce high was telling me. I could only laugh and throw my arms around the girls when we reached the safety of the streets. “Up next…dancing.”

Avery’s POV

By the time we left the dance club in the early hours of the morning, I was exhausted, drunk, and most definitely high. I was pretty sure that we had run at least five miles and danced off any and all traces of that burrito from earlier.

I leaned against Jimmy as he lead Maya and I down the street, my stomach grumbling loudly. Not only was I starving from all the athletics, but I also had the extreme case of the munchies. I wanted to eat everything in sight. Hell, everything looked like food… the light post was a giant hot dog…the bush was a cupcake. Damn.

“I’m starving…” I groaned, feeling my feet move but having the illusion of floating. “And were is Brian…he could bring some food…”

“Don’t mention that name tonight,” Jimmy laughed. “We will order room service once we get to the hotel…but first we have one job left to do. Now that you are both members of the knife wielding society,” he said, making me giggle. “We need to infiltrate the Berry’s spy van and see what secret data they have collected on us.”

“Wait, they really are spies? I had no idea…” I slurred, trying not to trip over my own feet.

“Of course they are! How the hell do they know everything?!” Jimmy laughed, pulling his hood and his aviators back up. “Now we need to sneak in and no one…I repeat no one can see us. If they do…you are dead.”

“I don’t think we should go that far, love,” Why did Maya sound perfectly fine? Hell, she didn’t even look tipsy. She had just as much to smoke and drink as I did, so why was she fine? I bet she wasn’t starving either. “But we will stay quiet…and follow directions.”

“That means no fraternizing with the enemy…that means Gates and Shadows tonight, do you hear me? Our mission goes until sunrise…” Jimmy said as we reached the venue grounds again. The buses were parked right were we left them, except that all the lights were still on in the Avenged bus.

“Shh…make no sounds…we cannot get caught, stay low.” Jimmy suddenly dive rolled to the ground and Maya and I had to cover our mouths to prevent from laughing. This was a lot of fun, especially when I stopped worrying about getting in trouble. I should really do this more. “This way,” Jimmy mouthed as we crept along the backside of the Avenged bus.

As we passed a window, I paused momentarily to see both Brian and Matt pacing the floor and looking worried. “Aww…they miss us…” I said a little too loudly to Maya in my drunken state. “Those big brown eyes are so sad…like pools of wonder…Brian!”

“Are you crazy?!” Jimmy said, pulling me down just before the guys looked out the window. “They. Can’t. Know. We’re. Here.”

“Sorry, I’ll keep a better eye on her,” Maya giggled just as the door to the bus slammed open. The three of us looked at each other with wide eyes. Shit!

“I know I saw something out there, Shads! I’m not fucking crazy! Just help me look!” Brain’s voice raged through the silence and both Jimmy and Maya covered my mouth before I could call out to him. “Avery? Maya? Jimmy? Is that you?”

“Quick, this way!” Jimmy hissed only to see Brian go one way around the bus and Matt around the other. “Dive dive dive!”

I suddenly felt myself dragged underneath the bus and it took all Jimmy and Maya’s hands to keep my laughter from being heard. “She is going to get us killed!” Jimmy mouthed, only making my giggles worse. Oh, everything was funny when you were high.

“Do you see anything, Gates?” Matt called. I glanced over to see Maya chewing her bottom lip with that longing looking in her eyes. Good, so I wasn’t the only one who wanted to jump ship right now and dive into the depths of my boyfriend.

“No…fuck. Where are they? I swear I’m going to kill Jimmy in the morning,” Brian sighed. “He knows it drives me crazy when he just up and disappears, specially when tomorrow is a fucking bus day.”

“Well at least he’ll have his jitters out of his system for part of the ride,” that was Matt, always looking on the bright side of things. “But trust me, he will have a long talking to about taking the girls. I just hope they aren’t fucking in jail or dead.” He had no idea how close we were to actually getting arrest and that thought was liberating.

I looked over to my right to see Jimmy chuckling and shaking his head. He was loving this secret mission and I had to admit, so was I. This was honestly the most fun I had in a long time.

“Okay, I’m going to make the next round to see if the cost is clear,” Jimmy said once Matt and Brian went back inside. “If I’m not back in five minutes, sneak around the back of the roadie bus to see if I have been captured.”

“Got it, five minutes,” Maya said and I nodded. “How you holding up, little gnome?” I slowly rolled over on my back and looked at the under side of the bus. I honestly hadn’t seen the bottom side of a vehicle before and in my inebriated state, it was certainly interesting.

“I’m great…” I slurred with a stupid smile on my face. “It’s been a great fucking night…we had Taco Bell…broke into the park…I picked a fucking lock! Can you believe that Maya?! I picked a fucking lock! And then we got high and drunk in the park, danced our life away…and now we are playing hide and seek from our boyfriends…oh they are going to be so pissed in the morning…”I laughed, not seeing a problem with anything that was coming out of my mouth in word vomit. “So much fucking fun…I could even use another drink. Maybe Brian could make me one?”

“No, I think you’ve had quiet enough, little gnome. And don’t worry, the guys wont even know we’re gone when we slip into their beds early in the morning,” Maya promised and I just smiled. Ah a bed with Brian sounded amazing…and all the things I wanted to do to him. Before I could even register what I was doing, I was crawling out from underneath the bus in search of Jimmy. I wanted to help so I could go back to those strong and sexy tattooed arms, and lets not forget those amazing brown eyes.

“Avery! Get back here!” Maya hissed trying to catch up with me but I squirmed away faster. I undoubtedly had cuts, bruises, and dirt all over my body but I didn’t care. I couldn’t feel anything right now. I was feeling so good that it wasn’t even funny. “Avery!”

I giggled as I rounded the corner of the dark roadie bus. “Jimmy?! Jimmy?! Where are you?!” I whispered through the night but I was prepared for what I saw when I turned the corner of the roadie bus. “Jimmy!” I hissed, seeing him in a lip lock with a mane of long red hair. “Jess?” They snapped apart so quickly that I almost believed it didn’t even happen. I had to blink a few times to settle my vision. Did I really just see that?

“Avery!” Oops, I forgot about Maya, only this voice didn’t sound like Maya. It sounded like…

I felt by body spin around so quickly that I almost fell down. I shook my head to clear the dizzy feeling and to see a familiar pair of dark brown eyes, only they didn’t look too happy. “Avery?! What are you doing? Where the hell have you been?”

Shit…busted.
