Maya’s POV

This evening we would be back home and I couldn’t wait to be out of Larry’s reach. He wouldn’t be back before the day after Ave’s birthday, that’s what he told me, thank god.
My task was now to figure something out that would give Ave a fantastic birthday.

It was nothing new for me to prepare Avery’s birthday, normally Larry was busy with work and rather absent on these occasions, not because he didn’t want to be there, but because he just had a busy schedule and had some appointments that couldn’t be postponed. We knew that and had to deal with it ever since.

I turned around facing Matt, his eyes were still closed, but I knew he wasn’t asleep anymore. We had already made a good distance towards our home, and both Matt and I haven’t gotten up once.

I knew he was mad at me for some reason, I just didn’t know why and what concerned him so bad, why would he ask me how I am dating? Wasn’t that clear?!
It was pretty obvious that it had to do with Jimmy, but I just didn’t know why he would have a problem with our friendship? I mean Jimmy was his best friend, too. He should know how Jimmy was and if you let Jimmy in your heart, he would stay there, because he was such an amazing person.

Jimmy gave me a feeling of safety and I liked that, we could talk about everything and I knew he wouldn’t get mad or upset with anything. I was somehow sure, that Jimmy would always be my friend and I didn’t have to be afraid of losing him or being afraid of falling... with him.

But it was still based on a friendship, he didn’t rouse in me the feelings Matt did.
Maybe that was because I never been so deep in a relationship as I am with Matt now… I knew relationship would end sooner than later… and I was afraid that this would happen to me and Matt as well.

Friends stayed but lovers were gone pretty quick, maybe that thinking was the reason why I couldn’t let Matt further in?
But that was nothing I could change, not now… maybe not ever?
Matt would sooner or later think I wouldn’t be enough and then turn his back on me… find himself someone who could love him back as he deserved… something I wanted to do, but apparently wasn’t ready yet.

And I knew he wouldn’t wait for me… cause even I didn’t know how long this would take.
Matt was doing nothing wrong, and everything right, it was my problem and I was ruining it if I couldn’t overcome it.

“What’s wrong, babe?” Matt’s eyes were open now and looking at me with concern. Could he read from my face that I was thinking about us?
“I was thinking about Ave’s birthday… you heard Larry, right? I need to set something up for her and haven’t thought about it before now.” I said and it was the truth, well part of it.

“I can help you with that, Maya” Matt pulled me against his body and I sighed, his warmth and strong arms felt so good.
I placed small kisses on his shoulder and he groaned “I need all the blood in my brain to think, babe. So if you want to do some brainstorming with me, you shouldn’t do that.”

“Maybe we should talk to Brian… he will want to do something with her on her birthday as well?” Matt asked and I nodded, right I haven’t considered that.
“Problem is, Larry might not be around… but he will definitely call and want updates, so a whole Avery and Brian thing on her birthday won’t work out.”
I mused and Matt nodded “Okay, so how about we get dressed and get into the other bus on the next break, then we can talk to Brian about it”

“You tell me to get dressed?” I asked playfully and Matt frowned “I don’t know where that came from, you are right… I could just call him.” Matt grinned and I shook my head.
“No, we should really talk, maybe Zack can distract Ave in between.” I said while pulling away from Matt and started to search for some clothes lying around.

“I didn’t mean for you to get dressed right away.” Matt groaned and I chuckled “We need to be ready for the break so, come on big guy.”
“Will you then promise me something?” Matt said quietly and I frowned, why would he talk so quiet like that?

“What?” I asked not really sure what this was about.
“Don’t forget about me when we are in the other bus” He asked and I sighed.
“How could I ever forget about you, big guy?” I asked putting my hands on his cheeks and placing a small kiss on his lips.

I opened my eyes again and Matt looked away, he looked everywhere but at me, but I just didn’t know how to handle this, was this still about Jimmy? Does he want me to stay away from Jimmy and my friendship? He couldn’t want that, could he?

I got up from Matt’s lap and took some clothes with me and quickly moved into the bathroom to get ready, just when I stepped out and towel dried myself the door opened and Matt stepped in “Break in about-” He quickly closed the door behind him and came in looking me up and down.

“God damn… I…” He muttered and I stood up straight, still being butt ass naked.
“What did you want to say?” I grinned and saw Matt swallow thickly.
“Brr-eak…5 minutes” Matt stepped forward and caged me against the small space of the shower.

He leaned down and placed his hands on either side of my head “So fucking hot… Maya?” He whispered, his lips only inches from mine.
“Yes?” I whispered as quietly back.
“Will you stay with me when we get home? I mean… those days off we have?” He licked his lips and a huge smile spread over my face, how would it feel being with Matt all the time?

Going to bed with him beside me and waking up with him, without being on guard the entire time?
Us doing things normal couples do? Would that help me to open up? I hoped so, cause I didn’t want to lose him…

“I thought you would send me home and live in that big house of yours on your own…” I said and took a step back, to see his reaction completely.
He looked stunned for a second and then a dimpled smile spread over his face “Of course I want you with me, in that not sooo big house of mine, babe. Don’t question that, silly” He took the last step forward and crashed his lips onto mine.

We got lost in the kiss until the bathroom door opened slightly but Matt moved his foot quickly to shut out whoever tried to sneak in.
“Occupied, asshole!” Matt yelled and I heard Matt Berry groan “Break time! You’re welcome!” And I chuckled pulling away from Matt’s body to quickly put some clothes on.
I had a birthday to plan!

Brian’s POV

We had our next stop in a couple of minutes and this was indeed the best bus ride I had in a long time.
I could spend all the time naked and cuddled up with Avery in the back room, not having to hide, not having to share her.

While my mind was running over time trying to figure out a nice evening that we could share together…
I at least had a plan forming in my head, I just had to figure out how to execute it and have a small talk with the others.

We stopped and Avery and I had finally to come out of our nice cozy area, but we would be back here as soon as possible if someone would ask me.
When we stepped a foot out of the bus Maya and Matt were already coming our way, we greeted them and Maya met my eyes mouthing ‘we need to talk’ and I nodded.

Perfect, but how could we talk without Avery knowing? I didn’t want her to know what we planned at least not all of it.
‘When?’ I mouthed back and Avery lifted her head at me, “What do you wanna eat?” She asked then frowned when I quickly looked down.

“Hmm… don’t know yet. But I need a coffee… that’s for sure…” I told her and laid my arm around her while Zack came walking towards us. “Come on, Ave. Let’s grab some food…” Zack grabbed Ave’s hand and I was about to say something when I met Zack’s eyes who gave me a sign to Maya and Matt waiting for me outside.
“Yeah, love. Just grab me something and a coffee black, I’ll wait outside, will you?” I asked and Ave looked a little uncertain but then followed Zack and I sighed.

I quickly met up with Maya and Matt. “What is it?” I asked and Maya explained the situation for Ave’s birthday and that Larry assigned her with the task of setting something up.
“So Larry, won’t be home until the day after her birthday?” I asked grinning and Maya nodded, but then held her hand up.

“Yes, but I know what you are thinking now, about you spending the whole day alone with her having your wicked way, but that ain’t gonna happen. Larry is calling both of us regularly, wanting to be updated… so we need to party together… and what did you think of?” She explained and I sighed, there went my idea.

But another was already forming “How about, I make a pre-birthday date with her? I will take her out to dinner this evening, then we get settled in my house… and you know what will happen then, I won’t need to tell you…” I smirked and Maya made puking noises.
“Stop that!” I shoved her a little, making her bump into Matt.
“So… what is your idea for her birthday then?” I finally came back to the point.

“I could pick her up before noon, go shopping with her, Larry gave us the credit card, so we have to use it right?!” She grinned and I rolled my eyes “Then you could prepare in Larry’s home the party. I can invite a few people and friends from college, she will love it! I will take her to dinner and she will probably know by then what’s going on, but anyway, then we show up for the party! And well… how the evening ends, that’s up to you…” She winked at me and Matt pulled her into his side smiling down on her.

“Sounds like a plan! So the guys and I will prepare and you distract her and invite the people?” I clarified and she nodded “That’s how we do it, now I need a coffee and some food.”

The plan was decided and I couldn’t wait to finally be back home and start with the evening.
When the first signs of California were in sight the more restless I got.

I told Ave that I would take her home with me, would she like my house? I mean she did see some of it during the first party where we met, but now she would look at it differently, I mean as my official girlfriend she would have a different view, and I hoped she would like it.

And I just realized I had no idea anymore how I left my home, shit… I hoped it wasn’t too bad!
I wanted her to feel good there…
“We are nearly home!!” Jimmy yelled next to us and Avery jumped a little “You should think I got used to this, but apparently I didn’t” She chuckled and I laid my arm around her pulling her closer.
“Don’t worry, as soon as the door opens, he will be long gone… and then we have time for us, alone… just you and me, babe.”
“I can’t wait to be with you and not having to hide… do you want to watch a movie? Or do something else?” Avery asked and I smiled.

“I do have some plans… my little one. We will get out of this bus and drive to my home. I will show you around, we gonna get freshened up and then I have a surprise for you.” I told her and Ave’s eyes lit up.
“A surprise? What surprise? You gotta tell me, come on, ask Maya I am soooo curious, please” She grabbed the front of my shirt, making me look down on her and I grinned.
“Nah, it wouldn’t be a surprise if I am telling you now.” I guided her to the front, where Jimmy was already nervously jumping up and down.

“We are home, we are home!” He clapped excitedly and when the bus door opened he flew outside and ran over the whole parking lot screaming, making both Avery and me chuckle.

It took us some time to finally load everything we would both need over the weekend into my car but when it was done, we only had to say our goodbyes to the others and then head to my home.

The closer we got the more nervous I was getting as well, my palms sweating and I had no idea why! She had been there before… but still I wanted her to like it. I mean if I had my way we would be spending a lot of time here in the future.
Wow, where did that thought come from?
But- I had to admit, I really liked it, planning things for me and Avery.

I guided her to the entrance of my home and Ave smiled the entire time while I brought her bag and my bag to the entrance, but before I opened up I set the bags down and pulled Avery into my arms.
“Damn, it feels so good coming home… and taking you with me, love” I said and Avery smiled up to me a small blush coming over her face.
“I really like being here with you and not having to hide in the back room of the bus or somewhere else.” She grinned and I nodded, here we go.

I opened up and led Avery into the living area, everything looked fine, which was good, so we set our bags down and I suggested giving her grant tour of the house, so she knew where everything was and would soon feel at home as well.

When we came back to the living area Avery stopped me, putting her arms around my neck holding me close “Will you tell me now what your plan is for this evening? Cause I really wanna know”
“Sorry, sweetie… I can’t, but how about you take your things up to the master bathroom, take a nice long shower and get ready, while I do the same down here… and we meet back in… an hour? Is that enough? And then you will find out what I planned, is that a deal?” I knew I needed a long shower, cause this whole driving in the bus was pretty exhausting even though we weren’t doing much… well besides… what Ave and I had been doing all morning… and afternoon, and it had been damn good.

After some more convincing, she finally went upstairs and I helped her to pick out something to wear, a nice short black dress, hugging her curves… I might regret the choice later on, if I couldn’t have my wicked way with her before we got back.

My phone buzzed and I saw Matt’s number “What’s up man?” I asked and heard some chuckling “Matt?” I asked again.
“No, it’s me… Listen, I got all the invitations out. I will be with you around 11 tomorrow so I can pick up Ave to shopping, you guys will have enough time to prepare the party. I will hand Matt my key so you can do… well whatever you think you need to do… and buy lots and lots of booze, I invited quite a lot people.” Maya rambled on and on and I nodded even though she couldn’t see me.

“Are you done now?” I asked grinning, knowing this would piss her off.
“I think I am, why? You got any problems with that?” Maya snapped and I chuckled, when I wanted to reply I heard Matt’s annoyed voice “I have a problem with you inviting the Asking guys, I mean you just met them, why do have their numbers?”
“You did what?” I asked as confused and heard Maya chuckle “Actually Avery had some numbers and so did I, so we combined them… no don’t worry. I will go with you to that party, no harm done, right?” Maya said more to Matt and I stared at my phone, really… for this I was wasting time?

“Alright, I got everything. Now please, don’t bother me anymore this evening, cause I have some nice plans.” I smirked and heard Maya groan.
“Are you talking about sex?” She asked and I had to laugh loudly, she was sure something else, and Matt really needed all his strength with her that’s for sure.
“No, actually I will take her out to dinner. She is right now getting ready and doesn’t know what I planned and what will happen tomorrow, so now do… whatever dirty deeds you have in mind and leave us the fuck alone.” With that I hung up and knew Maya would be frowning at the phone now.

After exactly one hour Avery came downstairs and looked stunningly beautiful and already now I was regretting my choice of her dress.
“Damn love, you look hot as fucking sin. And I would love to just rip that dress of you and take you right against the next wall” I smirked knowing she would blush at my blunt words.

“You look good yourself. Will you tell me now what this is all about?” She asked and then looked down on herself frowning.
“I didn’t know what you planned and I don’t know if this is too much? Too less?” She asked and I saw the uncertainty in her eyes, which I quickly had to replace with a smile, or lust… or both at once.

I crossed the distance between us and pulled her into my body, making her aware of my already growing erection, because fucking hell, she looked THAT good.

“You fit in everywhere, no let me correct myself, you- will be the center of attention wherever we go. You will not fit there, you will rock it.” I placed a hungry kiss on her lips, which got out of hand real quick and I pressed her into the next wall, her hands were pulling the dress shirt out of my pants and running over my naked back.

Shit, if we would keep that up, we wouldn’t leave the house at all, and I wanted her to feel special, wanted her to know how special she was to me.

“Love… Avery, wait. We will have enough time for that later on… right now, I just want to have a wonderful evening with you. You and me, as a couple… I know we are not official for everyone, but we can move around without your Dad knowing, he won’t be here and he is not around. I want that, want to enjoy that evening with you… as mine.” I said and Avery blushed again, her cheeks were still a little red from the kiss we shared and I saw her quick breathing but when she registered my words she had not only lust in her eyes but something else, and I liked that. I didn’t know what it was exactly, but this meant she recognized how honest I was right now…
