Hush, be careful of what you say

Zacky POV

“For Christ’s sake, Johnny get the hell down from there!” I yell at him.
Right now he’s on the kitchen counter, pouring some beer on us. Believe it or not, we have been here in Matt’s house for less than two hours, and the short shit already made himself drunk. Everyone is here, well, everyone except from Brian. I have tried calling him to see where the hell he is at, but it was for no use. He even switched off his phone. Matt is pissed at Brian, for reacting such way. And I don’t want Matt to find Johnny on top of his counter, or else he will flip!

“WHAT?!” Johnny yells, with the booze in his hand.
“Get the fuck down or else Matt will kill you! And you know he will!”
At that instant, he jumped back down, while Arin is staring at me.
“What’s wrong kiddo?” I ask him.
He stutters, “Uhm…what you said, the last sentence…will…he”
“Jesus no! But you don’t want to be on his bad side in an argument” I laugh it off.
“Well, he is a big guy” Arin jokes.
“You’re talking about me already?” Matt says as he enters the room. I see him looking around, like he’s looking for something. Or someone.
And I bet that he is looking for someone. No-one else but Brian.
“Zacky, have you seen Brian? Or did you get hold of him?” he asks me. See? I was right!
“No Matt. And he switched off his phone so…useless” I take a sip from the beer as Matt heads out of the room with his hands in fists.

“It seems like Brian doesn’t want to be here. Well, I got the message, no hard feelings” Arin says with a chuckle.
“It’s not like that. Let’s just say that it’s complicated, and he is complicated. So, too many complications” Johnny slurs to Arin while patting his back.
“What Johnny is trying to tell you is that, Brian is the one who took Jimmy’s death the worst and he needs some adjustments to make. It will take a while, but he will come around. He always does. So don’t worry about it.”
I notice that Arin looks disappointed, staring at his half-full bottle of beer.
“Anyways, enough from all the serious shit. Let’s bring out the heavy booze and get this really going!” I suggest.
“Hell yeah I’M IN!!” Johnny screams in my ear.
“Not you, Christ!” I push him back, making him fall to the floor.

At that instant I hear the door opening and within seconds Gates is in the room.
“Well about the fucking time bro!!” Johnny yells, struggling to stand up.
“Wow, he’s already wasted huh?!” Brian asks as he looks around and grabs some of the empty beer bottles. “Wasted with beer! I’m disappointed in you short shit! I truly am!” he continues as he brings out the scotch from the counter and pours himself a drink.
Matt walks in and stops at the doorway, looking at Brian.
“You could have come any later Gates!” he tells him in a sharp tone.
“I’m here aren’t I? I promised you I’ll come, and I am. Now drink to that” he says as he drinks some of his scotch.
Arin doesn’t say anything, he stays quiet in his place. He seems intimidated of Brian and I don’t blame him. A lot of people feel like that at first towards Brian.

“Welcome to the band Arin, cos apparently I’m the only one who didn’t congratulate you. Hope you’ll feel at home” Brian tells Arin, in a very calm tone.
Arin looks surprised at Brian, mouth wide open. “Oh…tt…thank you Brian. Appreciate it dude!”
“Now drink up! Being part of this band you need to know how to drink booze, lots of it!” he tells Arin, signaling his beer that is still in his hands. “Apart from Johnny, that is a restless case. Just hopeless! A hopeless human being, playing a worthless piece of instrument in the band!” Brian continues as we burst out laughing.
Johnny gets up from the floor in one swift, and drunkily, but seriously, points at Brian’s directions.
“Don’t start that argument again dickhead. Bass is an important instrument as much as the drums or your godly guitar. It needs to be shown some respect!”
“Well, you can’t spell bass without ass, Johnny” I continue as Arin and Matt cough on their drink. Johnny glares at me with an angry look. “What?! It’s the truth!!” I protest.
“You’re all assholes! I hope you’re a good kid, and not like them” Johnny tells Arin.
“I can be both, I guess” Arin chuckles.


Matt POV

I don’t know how we do it. Within couple of hours we always manage to get wasted. And tonight is no exception. Johnny has already passed out once, although now he is fully awake drinking heavily again. The rest of us we’re drunk, well, real drunk.
I’m quite satisfied that Arin is having fun tonight and is already adjusting well with is. He’s a cool kid, he knows how to drink and also he’s fun to be around in a party. But I am still pissed at Brian for coming so late. I know that he did it on purpose, but I sure know that Arin has realized that as well. He’s a smart kid, so I know that Arin realized that Brian is not too pleased for him.
The fact that we’re drunk has helped Brian to talk more to Arin, so I guess that is a plus.

“Guys I want to play truth or dare!!” Johnny exclaims.
“Oh come on, that game is for babies!” Brian scoffs.
“Perfect for you then Johnny!” Arin says instantly, making Johnny all surprised and speechless. Zacky spits out his drinks once he heard that remark.
“Arin, welcome on board dude!” he says as he high-5s him.
“Perfect. Another one on the list. It’s getting longer I can tell you” Johnny grumples.
“What list?” Arin asks.
“None of your damn business, that’s for sure!” Johnny yells.
I slap him on his head, “This dude is sensitive Arin. That is why we make fun of him. It’s fun watching him get mad!”
“And because he’s short as well” Zacky adds with my remark.
“Fuck off! Let’s just play the goddamn game!” Johnny yells another time.
“Fine!!” I yell back.

So for the first turn, Zacky had to choose truth or dare, given by Johnny.
“Oh, definitely dare!” Zacky says, in a proud voice.
“I dare you to run around this room 5 times, naked!” Johnny tells him.
Zacky gets up instantly, “That is the dare?! That is fricking easy!”
At one go he gets off of his clothes and start running around like a kid.
“You are one stupid short human being. You call that a dare?! It’s not even worth it! You should have told him to go outside and buy something from a store, naked! And that way, we wouldn’t have to see him running around naked!” Brian tells Johnny, making a disgust face whenever Zacky gets in front of him, all proud that his dick is hanging around.
“Disappointed in you lad! Truly am!” I tell Johnny. “Jesus Christ, enough dicks for show, put some pants on Vengeance!”
“Alright alright fine….for the next one.”
Once Zacky was done we continued.
Now it was my turn to choose, given by Arin.
“I want to start by truth. So I’ll let the good stuff for the end”
“Hmm okay. Where is the weirdest or strangest place to have sex with a girl?” he asks me.
“Oh I know this one. It was a couple of years ago. I was seeing this girl. We went on a road-trip with her family, so they had this van to travel with. Let’s just say that the girl was horny and I helped her out, while her parents where on the front of the van” I winked at them.
“Dude. They didn’t even notice?!” Arin asks.
“Nope. And the girls was one satisfied girl by the end, if you know what I mean”

“Okay, enough of your sex talk. Another turn!” Johnny yells.
This time Brian had to choose from Johnny.
“Truth. Definitely truth, not gonna waste a dare from you!” Brian explains.
“Who is you favourite musician?”
“Not you, that’s for sure” Brian says, as he points at Arin. What?!
“I’m sorry kid. You’re good, but not that good” Brian continues.
“It’s okay. I don’t consider myself to be the best, but quite good” Arin defends himself.
“Well, you’re never going to be good as him. Keep that in mind!” Brian says in one cold breath.
“Dude, you crossed the line over there! Quit it!” Zacky tells him as the rest of us are waiting in utter silence.
“You know what?! Let him say whatever he really wants to tell me! I noticed that he wasn’t too pleased with me since the audition!” Arin says as he stands up.
Brian stands up as well and moves forward at Arin, making us all get up.
“Dude, back off!” I warn Matt.
“Are you his dad or something?!” he glares at me.
“I said shut the fuck up. Tonight it’s not the time!” I tell him once more but he looks back at Arin.
“I think it is the time” Arin says again.
“You know what, it is. I fucking agree” Brian adds as he punches Arin in his face, making him fall back as he wasn’t prepared for that.

Angrily I grab Brian and push him away from Arin as he gets up as well looking pissed off while being held by Zacky.
“What the fuck is your problem?!” Arin yells, trying to get lose from Zacky’s grip.
“You. You are the fucking problem!” Brian yells back.

Notes

So, the party just started at Matt's house...everything was going fine until someone crosses the line :/
