Hush, be careful of what you say

Matt POV

“Would you look at that?! Look at this article that ‘Kerrang!’ wrote about us!” Johnny says excitedly from the couch.
“They wrote an article? How’s that?” Arin asks, drinking some beer.
“Yeah, it’s online. Lots of fans are sending us pictures of this article or even the link. Basically they are saying about our charity gig we had two days ago” Johnny explains.
“Let me read that” I say, as I take control of the laptop that was on his lap until one second ago. “Who would have known that one rock band from Huntington Beach will take part of a charity gig? Well, if you’re a fan a of Avenged Sevenfold, you know what I am talking about. Just a couple of days ago, they were the headliners of a gig where all the money were given to charity – various organizations that help people suffering from cancer. Thousands of people were at the venue and they were ecstatic! Ladies were screaming and left their underwear on stage, and the guys kept kicking and jumping in the mosh pits. The Avenged Sevenfold guys gave a great show, introducing some new songs from their upcoming album. As usual they made use of fireworks and fire, which made the show even better. And the stage?! It was creatively built in a way that was so surreal. Apart from all this, the band introduced their newest member instead of their late drummer Jimmy, Arin Ilejay. And boy, he was on fire! The fans adored him and he was welcomed in the family immediately. But not everything was rainbows and stars, as apparently the guy is receiving some threats from a particular hacker. The band singer Matt, also known for his stage name M Shadows, mentioned this, but, together with Brian, aka Synyster Gates, they made it clear that they are going to support Arin though anything! That is what I’m talking about, loyalty and love. Two elements that are present within the band and their fans. Great job Sevenfold, I’m sure this year you’ll perform some of your best gigs and festivals yet!”

“Holy shit! That’s amazing!!” Zacky yells and he jumps over the couch.
“We should be proud boys!” I tell them as I signal Johnny to bring more beer for us. Everyone is ecstatic, well, everyone but Brian. He still has a long face, his head somewhere else.
“You did not like the article?” I ask him.
“What?” he says, trying to get back into the subject.
“Why the long face Gates?!” I ask him again. Arin comes near us, looking at Brian like he knows what this is about. Am I missing something?
“They mentioned the hacker in the article. We didn’t want the person to be given publicity, and that’s what happened over here. Aren’t you at least a bit worried about this? What if he or she revives as the person notices that he or she got noticed by one of the most popular magazines in the world?” Brian explains himself.
“Well, to be completely honest I didn’t think of that. But listening to your argument it makes sense” Johnny says as he sits next to Brian.
“Or maybe the person wanted fame after all, and now that it got recognized, the person decides to stop” Zacky continues.
“Well, I think it’s useless to think about it. We can’t do anything about it. Let’s just hope he or she doesn’t write anything else” I tell them.

Brian stands up, finishing his beer. “Okay enough chit chat. Finish those beers so that we’ll get the fuck out of here”.
“Now? It’s a bit early no?” Jonny says, complaining after noticing that it is ten o’clock.
“If you want to come later, be my guest. But I’m taking the car obviously, so you have to walk all the way to the bar” Brian smirks at Johnny.
“Oh hell no! I don’t want to walk. Fine, let’s go!” he mumbles as Brian is already out of the door.


Arin POV

Getting yourself being mentioned in one of your favourite magazines? Fuck yeah, been there done that. Getting praised for playing an amazing show? Fuck yeah, been there done that.
But what irritates me is that they have mentioned the hacker. The person doesn’t need publicity. Plus, people who weren’t at the venue will question who the person is and what has he done, since they can read it on the article.
I did not explain my thoughts with the rest of the guys, they were already getting worried about it and I didn’t want to make them feel worse. And as usual, to forget some of our troubles we have decided to go to the bar.

And this was a perfect excuse for Brian to go to the bar, after his interaction with the red-hair Brenda. On the other hand, I was looking forward to get to know Marissa a bit more but after that phone call from Niall I’m a bit uncertain. Niall hasn’t called me back, and I didn’t either. I felt weird if I do so. What would I say, ‘Hey Niall, you know our casual relationship thing? Well, you broke the code as you confessed you love me while you were drunk’. I wasn’t going to do that. So I’m going to wait for her to phone me and when she does, I’ll decide what to do.

Like the other day, the bar is crowded with people and the alcohol is over-flowing, the music is blaring out of the speakers and people are enjoying their stay. Matt moves towards the second bar and obviously Brian isn’t too pleased about this since Brenda stays at the first bar. I catch him looking at the first bar, and there she is, serving drinks to the people. But he doesn’t say anything. At that instance Brenda looks at us and for a second she stops serving drinks, but Brian continues walking towards the other bar and she seems a bit shocked by his decision. So am I. But I say nothing and instead I order some drinks for us.

“Well would you look at that?” Zacky says as we look towards the direction that he’s looking at. There are a couple of girls opposite of us, and apparently one of them will be Zacky’s victim soon.
“Who is your victim of the night Zacky?” I ask him.
“That one, the blonde one wearing the tight black dress”, he says as he’s still looking at her. “And of course, she is looking back, like she’s waiting to be caught. Well gentlemen, it was nice talking to you but I have to work on my mission now.”
“Already leaving us huh?” Brian says chuckling. “You make me proud!” as he gives him a manly hug.
“Well that’s new” Matt says.
“What is?” Johnny asks.
“Brian letting Zacky go alone. Usually Brian is the leader and Zacky follows. But not tonight. How come?” Matt asks Brian.
“Well, I did my job. Zacky learnt from the best and now I have to let him do the work on his own. Like a father letting his son move on in life!” Brian sarcastically says.
“Bullshit!!” Johnny scoffs as he hits Brian on his head. Of course it’s bullshit, this is all because of Brenda! He truly wants to get to know her I guess huh?!
“I’m going to the loo” I tell them as I make my way to that room. I pass by in front of the first bar and catch Brenda eyeing me again. I wink at her as I continue walking along.


Brian POV

“Not again!!” Johnny yells as both me and Matt starts laughing loud.
We were playing shots, based on Zacky. Since he left us to go introduce himself with the girls opposite of us, we are taking a shot every time he touches or kiss the blonde one. And up till now, I lost count of how many shots we had to take! That guy sure doesn’t want to let her go tonight huh.
“Fuck, I’m going to have a major hangover tomorrow morning!” Johnny grumbles next to us.
“Short shit, that’s one disadvantage of being a short dude: you can’t handle the alcohol as us men!” I tell him as Matt scoffs on the shot that he had to take.
“You’re simply a pain in the ass Haner. Fuck off” Johnny replies looking pissed.

We all look at Zacky again, waiting on his next move.
“Hi kissed her again! Fucking hell!” Johnny grumbles yet another time.
“Are you going to moan every time you have to take a shot? If you think you’re not man enough to drink accordingly, just stop!” Matt finally says.
Johnny flips him off as the three of us drink our shot. But I have to give it to him, for sure tomorrow morning we’re going to wake up with a fucking hangover. I can already feel a bit lightheaded and all of us and laughing much more.
“Arin would not be able to finish this dare. I want him to be part of the game so that at least I’ll beat him!” Johnny protest, putting his hands in fists.
“Where the hell is he anyway?” Matt asks, not bothering looking around.
“He’s over there talking to that sexy bartender” Johnny points out.

I turn around and immediately my eyes avert towards Brenda’s direction. In front of her there is Arin, sitting comfortably on a stool drinking a beer that she just handed him. Both of them are lost in the conversation, or in each other. What the fuck? He said he was going to the rest room, not to flirt with THE girl. My blood starts to boil and I feel like I want to punch something.
“Another shot Haner! Zacky touched her shoulders, what a stud!” Johnny says as he pats my shoulder and hands me the next shot.
Not letting Brenda and Arin out of my sight, I down the shot as furiously I get off the stool and move away from the guys.

Notes

Well, Kerrang magazine wrote an article about the gig and the band..that do you think of that? ;) but they mention the hacker.....
They put it aside and they go and celebrate at Rock Ambition...Zacky is getting lucky with a blondie, the guys are drinking....but what is going on between Brenda and Arin? What about Brian at the end? :O
