Hush, be careful of what you say

Arin POV

As I’m walking back to the bar where the rest of the guys are, Brenda signals me to go to ‘her’ bar. Hmm, I wonder why. Well, I will find out as soon as I go there.
“Hey you, care for a drink?” she asks me instantly.
“Uhm, I guess. A beer would be fine” I tell her, as I sit down by the bar.
Confidently she brings me a beer in front of me as our eyes meet.
“I’m Arin by the way”, I tell her, since I don’t think she knows my name.
“Brenda” she replies, a smirk on her face.
“So, Brenda…” I start but is soon interrupted by her.
“Listen Arin I want to ask you something. This morning Marissa was talking to me and mentioned you. Do you like her?” she asks me, well I didn’t see that coming.
“Why do you ask?” I ask her instead of answering to her question.
“Just answer my question handsome, don’t change direction” she tells me as she leans forward on the counter, getting closer to me. I sure hope that Brian doesn’t look this way or else he’ll be furious!
“Well, from the little chat we had yesterday, I guess, yeah” I stutter as I confess.
“Then why haven’t you talked to her tonight?” she tells me coldly.
“I haven’t seen her yet!” I say in protest as it’s true, I haven’t seen her.
“She’s over there pouring some shots right now. The thing is that she is like my little sister, I love her to bits and we shared some haunting experiences together. We’re there for each other. And I would like for her to find a nice guy. And by what she told me, and my examination of you right now, I think you’re quite nice” she tells me as she drinks some beer which was under the counter.
“Listen Brenda, sure I like her. And I feel flattered hearing that, I guess. But I’m not looking for a relationship right now!” And Niall just confessed that she loves me! But obviously I don’t mention this to Brenda.
“No, no, no I’m not saying relationships. Just getting to know each other, or some fun. That’s for you two to decide. I’m being the big sister right now, trying to give you some sense. As long as you don’t hurt her obviously, or else you’ll get to see my bad side” she chuckles.

I think about it and look over at Marissa. Well, maybe I should listen from Brenda and Brian and forget the phone call for now. Maybe I should have some fun with a person that I like and apparently likes me back.
“Okay, I’ll go and talk to her” I tell her as she squeals in joy. “As long as you talk to Brian”.
Her expression changes completely and she looks like she got caught off guard.
“That’s for me to decide” she responds.
“That’s not fair. Besides, he is going crazy as he doesn’t know what you want from him. Give him a chance. Some fun, maybe for just one night” I tell her, but she looks at me sternly.
“I talked to him, he knows what to do. If he doesn’t, that’s for him to decide”
“Harsh, you can be a bitch huh?” I tell her since I feel confident with her.
“Towards guys, sure!” she laughs. At that instant I see her look at someone who is walking after me as she hisses under her breath “shit”. I look around to see Brian going out of the bar, looking rather pissed.
“Oh shit!” I say as I leave Brenda and go after Brian.

He’s outside, having a smoke. Slowly I approach him.
“Brian..” I start but he soon turns around to face me. Boy, he’s angry.
“Well, I just told you about her earlier, meaning she’s off limits. And from all the ladies in the club, you had to choose her!”
“Fucking let me explain first!” I try to get some sense into his head.
“Don’t bother” he says, pissed off.
“She was talking about Marissa, cos she likes me. I wasn’t flirting with her. So you can relax now, dude!”
He instantly relaxes, which makes me feel better.
“I’m sorry, I don’t know what got into me. But she’s driving me crazy!” he says with a hint of a smile on his face, yet still a concerned expression.
“Just go and talk to her! She’s quite nice, but she can be a bitch, I’m warning you!”
“Well, I still have to meet the nice side of her” he replies with a laugh. “What time is it anyways?”
“Around 2” I say as I glance to my watch.
“Good” he replies.
“You have a plan, don’t you?!” I smirk at him as he seems lost in thought.
“Maybe”.

FUCKING PERFECT! Seriously these guys are handing me anything that I want or anything that I need on a silver plate! I wanted Arin to come out of the bar and do something. And what’s better than an argument with Brian, the guitar god?! I am stoked to get these pictures printed! I’m sure the fans are going to be thrilled to see them and maybe some of them will get to question how come a new member is already fighting with Brian. Being in a band is like being in a relationship. The first stages are the best and most fun, and then as time progresses the arguments start.
Well, these pictures sure show otherwise. The fans should be given these pictures, the truth!

Brian POV

Since when I freak out if one of my friends decides to talk to a girl that I might like? God, what the hell is wrong with me? I barely know her, and I’m already acting the jealous kind of guy! I can’t even remember the last time I was jealous and this crazy over a girl. Anyways, I sure need to step out of it and man the hell up!
As I was going out she was looking at me, she noticed that I was furious and I could easily read her expression. At that moment she was worried, she seemed sorry. But sorry for whom? For me? For Arin?

I go back inside the bar and instantly I meet her eyes. Whether she likes it or not I’m going to talk to her and I’m going to stay at the first bar, her bar.
She smiles at me, “Hey you”. What the hell happened to the Brenda that I met the other night, or at the storage room?
“Can’t find your tongue?” she chuckles as apparently I’m still staring at her and haven’t said a goddamn word. Fucking perfect, I was supposed to man up Haner!!
“Well, kind of. I was expecting you to flip me off or something. Since you don’t like me” I admit to her as I sit on a stool in front of her.
“Now why do you think that?” she asks me with a weird look like she’s offended.
“Whenever I tried to talk to you, you do the complete opposite”.
“Maybe one day I’ll give you a valid reason for that” she says as she looks around. “Your friends are leaving”.
I look around and find out that the bar is almost empty, with the guys heading out. Matt is holding Johnny, while Zacky is walking after them with that chick he was flirting with. Where the hell is Arin?
“You coming bro?” Matt asks me.
“Nah, I’m going to stay here for a bit. You need help with Johnny?” I ask him.
“You kidding? I lift heavier weights at the gym. I’m cool” he says as he leaves the bar.
“You did me proud Zacky” I tell him out loud as he winks at me and disappears after the others, holding tightly to blondie.
“What are you going to do now Brian?” Brenda asks me as she starts counting the money.
“I’m going to wait for you finish from work and then we’ll see”
“It might take a while to finish my shift” she explains.
“I have all night, don’t worry beautiful” I wink at her and drink some more beer.

And she wasn’t joking. It took her another hour to finally finish her shift, as the boss had to tell them something. And by the end she looked exhausted.
“I’m sorry. Usually we don’t take that long” she says after yawning.
“I think your boss wanted me to give up and leave, so he did it on purpose. But he failed obviously!” I joke as she bursts out laughing. “Since it’s already late and you look tired, let’s just walk you home”
She doesn’t complain, and slowly we start walking towards her home. Throughout the whole walk, we keep on talking on different subjects. Well, apparently she’s 24 years old and originally from New York. She came to live here as she hated the city and wanted to live somewhere near the beach. And because her ex-boyfriend was from here, but she didn’t elaborate more on him. I told her different things about me, about my family and about how much I love guitars, but I don’t mention the fact I’m in the band. Not now, not yet. She seems a bit strange, a bit sassy yet sensitive, so I don’t dare to mention the fact that I can be a guitar god on stage having loads of women next to me. That might scare her away and now I don’t want to risk her, after finally having a decent conversation with her.

“Home sweet home” she tells me as we arrive in front of a small but sweet house.
“Sweet”. Usually, I make a move to try and go inside the house. And after that we head to the obvious destination: the bedroom. But by the way she’s looking at me, I realise that it’s not wise to do so.
“Okay so I’m going to leave you now. I’ll see you soon, and please, don’t dream about me” I tell her as I plant a light kiss on her cheek, touching the right end side of her lips. I turn around and walk away, not letting her react on one way or another, or to reply.

Fuck, this feels weird. How come some guys do this on dates? My usual way is better, no doubt about that.
Hopefully this has been worth something.

Another update :)
Arin is all good with Brenda..nothing to worry about Brian :P But hey he got a bit jealous ;) What do you think about him walking Brenda home? Will it be worth it?
And what about the hacker taking those pictures?! :O Will he/she publish them or just bluff?!
