Hush, be careful of what you say

Arin POV

We’re on our way back home right now in Brian’s car, and silence is upon us. He hasn’t said one single word through our ride and personally. I’m a bit afraid to be the one who breaks the silence because of his deadly expression on his face. What did Brenda do to Brian? I’m dying with curiosity, I want to know so badly! But I think now it’s not the best time to figure that out. I will let him calm down and then I’ll ask him.
What I know is that he ruined a perfect conversation that I was having with Marissa. She is a nice girl, inside and out. She got good looks, she’s funny and charming and we were both flirting with each other. I was a bit furious when Brian interrupted us but once I’d seen his expression I knew it’s better to let it go. I know we will be going to Rock Ambition another time. So for now, I’d just hope that when we do, Marissa will be working there.

As I’m thinking about all this, I hear my phone ringing. Shoot, it’s Niall.
“Hey beauty” I start the conversation. Brian scoffs beside me, so I hit him with my hand on his chest.
“Hey Arin, can you hear me?!” she asks me.
“Wow, it’s so loud over there, where are you?” I ask her. I bet she’s at a party cos I can hear loud music blaring from my phone.
“Me and my friends decided to go out and celebrate. We aced some major tests today! I did so well Arin! I’m so happy!!” she says excitedly.
“Wow Niall I’m so happy for you! I’m proud! I told you, you can beat them, and you did!!”
“I wouldn’t have done it without you Arin! Seriously! Anyways, I gotta go, my friends just brought some shots so you know the drill. I will phone you soon Arin! Love you” and she hangs up.
“Wait, Niall…” I try my luck but it’s too late, she already hung up.
“What was that at the end?” Brian finally decides to speak.
“What are you talking about?”
“What did she say at the end of the conversation? Those two words, precious words” he starts to make fun of me.
“Fuck off Brian. I’m not in the mood!” I blur out.
“Join the club” he says, his head still on the road.

Love you. She never told me those words before, I never did either. Why did she say that? Was it the alcohol, or the truth speaking out?
Fuck, I didn’t want this. We had agreed to keep our ‘relationship’ a casual one, no strings attached, just fun. But love? That for sure wasn’t part of the deal.

“You know that’s fucked up right?” Brian begins as he parks the car at his house.
“What is?”
“Well”, he opens the door, “Just a couple of minutes ago you were flirting with Marissa and now this chick calls you, telling you that she loves you. That’s some fucked up shit”.
“It’s not like that” I tell him, but he stops and stares at me, waiting for an explanation.
“It’s just casual. She lives in England, I don’t have time for long-distance relationship and don’t believe in them. She never told me that, so I don’t know what it meant” I admit to him.
“Well, for sure you have to see what it meant. But in the meantime, some fun with the bartender won’t hurt anyone kid, so no worries! You only live once, enjoy it!” he tells me as he smirks and hands me a glass of water.
“You’re already planning when we’ll be going there again?” I ask him, trying to get into my mission.
“Maybe. Still haven’t decided yet” he says, his expression already changing into a serious one.
“I bet Brenda is a feisty one, you have to battle hard to get to her” I risk to say. I put up my hands to protect my face, in case that he decides to punch me.
“I’m not going to punch you, idiot! But you’re telling the truth. This never happened to me before. Usually, when I hit on a girl I will face no trouble. She falls for me, we have some amazing sex and it will be over. This one is different. She didn’t fall for me. She didn’t even want to give me her name, it’s like she has a secret or something. She barely looks in my eyes and tries to avoid me. The fucked up thing about all this is that it is making me crazy. I want to get to know her even more, I want to kiss her and taste her and I want to….”

“Enough of the horny details that you want to do with this Brenda. I get your point. What’s the last thing that she told you?” I ask him.
“That to get to her I need to impress her. How the fuck can I do that?!” he says looking miserable. Wow, I never thought that a girl can make Brian feel like shit.
“Well, you’re Synyster fucking Gates, you can do whatever you want and impress anyone!” I remark.
“I don’t know. Anyway, yes, I want to go back to the bar and for sure you’re with me boy. Tomorrow night?” he says, still sounding depressed. God, I can’t refuse or else he’ll get worse.
“Deal, it’s a date!” I joke.
He looks at me seriously, a bit disgusted, “Don’t you ever say that” as he shakes his head.
“Christ, it’s a joke! Maybe the others will be up for it as well, I’m sure they won’t turn down a good night out”

Damn, the guys are tough! I know that they are Avenged Sevenfold, and I have read a lot of articles about this band. They used to do a lot of hard drugs, partying hard with loads of women. And it wasn’t just once that they ended up in fights or in jail.
But the fact that they have stood up for Arin is kind of both expected and not.

In the interviews that I have watched of them, they always stated how they are a family and its best friends before band-members kind of thing. But Arin is new. He isn’t Zacky, Matt, Johnny, Brian or Jimmy in that case. He wasn’t part of their childhood, he’s not part of their best memories. He wasn’t there in their difficult experiences that they shared together. He wasn’t there to support them when they lost their brother Jimmy. But still, they stood up for him at the concert. I even thought that they were going to react one way or another after writing that message on their van, but nothing! They did absolutely nothing!

But if they think I’m going to back down, they’re douchebags. This motivates me even more. I want something bad to happen to Arin: quit the band, suicide, whatever it takes. I don’t want him to be part of the band – he doesn’t deserve that place. They should look for someone else.
I will continue writing posts on facebook and twitter. God, hacking their pages is fucking easy! But, I’m also planning on doing some fake accounts and spread them around.

Moreover I will continue spying on them. Arin seemed confident enough with that bitch at the bar. Maybe I’ll catch him doing something and start posting some pictures of him, instead of just writing posts about him. I might even involve the others in this, if that is what it takes I will. He seems like he’s having a brotherly friendship with Brian now after all that fighting at the beginning. Maybe by time I should spice things up and shake that friendship.

I will do whatever it takes for Arin to quit the band. I will not give up. I have an aim, and one way or another, one day I will reach it. That will be the day when I rest. That will be the day I will be satisfied with my purpose. Until then I will sweat, I will fucking bleed to get Arin quite the band, or for them to dump his sorry ass.
