I Wish I Could be the One

Latin had ended and as usual Jimmy was asked to stay after class to be lectured about becoming more serious about learning this beautiful language. Our teacher was never going to get it through her head there was no convincing Jimmy. He did what he wanted when he wanted no matter how many demerits he got, no matter how many detentions he got. Its not that he didn't like learning, or that he was dumb. Jimmy had one of the top ten GPAs in our class. He just learned..well Jimmy style. It did not take long for me as well as most of the staff to stop questioning his habits. He was a genius in so many ways and that is why he was one of my favorites. He was definitely the nicest to me from the beginning after the whole Zacky punching Johnny incident, which Jimmy just laughed about for a good five minutes.
Johnny and I waited for Jimmy outside the door so we could walk to trig together. Somehow this semester we managed to have most of our classes together. Were like the three amigos except not really. I was a little fuzzy as to where I fit in with my brothers friends. Zacky did not mind me infiltrating the group, I think he preferred it actually to "keep and eye on me". Jimmy was taking a bit longer than usual. I leaned against the lockers and let out a sigh.
"So thing 2 you going to tell me what you were thinking about all of Latin?" Johnny said as he joined me against the lockers.
"Well J seeing as how were in LATIN I was thinking about latin" I told him frustrated with no good reason.
"Wow babe calm down"
"I hate it when you call me babe." I said with a cold stare.
Johnny stepped out away from the lockers and stepped in front of me rolling his eyes.
"We both know that isn't true don't we?" He said taking step closer to me.
"Oh Johnny knock it off, Jimmy is going to come out any minute and your being weird" I looked away from him. Johnny took a few steps closer to me and put his hand against the locker near my face, I could feel his body heat against me.
"You're cute when you get all anxious Kat, I'll have to tell Brian next time I see him" he turned away from me and walked a few steps down the hall.
I looked towards at him with such curiosity because I wanted to know what he meant, and why he said that. All he did was give me a his usual cute smirk. That was the thing about Johnny. He always always knew how to push my buttons, and most of the time he knew what I was thinking. I hated it because he always looked so fucking cute, it was hard to stay annoyed at him. This was one of those moments. He knew I felt weird about what he said and that I was hiding something. It was mostly just my thoughts before and all of latin class. What was I going to do about my feelings? Thank goodness Johnny didn't know what I was thinking, if he knew everything would get so complicated so fast. I wasn't ready for that.
"Aww how sweet you guys waited for me! What nice friends I have!"
"Jimmy we always wait for you" I told him.
"Haha I know I know, so are we going to trig or are we going back to your room Kat to smoke fat blunt?"
"I vote Kat's room" Johnny said nonchalantly as if he hadn't gotten all weird on my a couple minutes ago.
"So its settled lets go Kat lead the way" Jimmy said as he went into a long lunge and threw his arms out in front of him as if he was opening up a path way for me to follow. I could not help but laugh and cover my face with my hands. Jimmy never seemed to be in a bad mood, he only seemed to want to spread his crazy and happiness to everyone. His constant good spirit was always so contagious, that I could not help but forget about Johnny's annoying ass. But who was I kidding? Johnny was not annoying. I have a feeling though things are going to take a turn for the worst, I hope I'm wrong...but the way Johnny mentioned Brian, I know I'm right.
"Are you guys sure? I think we should go to trig, I feel like we haven't gone in forever.."
"Babe don't be boring lets go" Johnny said with his arms crossed leaning against a locker.
"Yea!!! Come on Kat lets go! What are we going to miss in trig? Besides I need a nap Latin got me all tired out, and you know how much I act out when I need a nap"
"Jesus Jimmy you act like you're in preschool." Johnny said with a friendly slap to Jimmy's back letting out a small laugh.
"Guys seriously we haven't gone in like two weeks. Im going" I was determined to start getting my grade up in trig since the boys always convinced me to ditch, and I'm pretty sure half the girls in that class thought I was sleeping with both of them considering we were always there or absent together. I had crossed my arms and began to turn around to head to trig, hoping they'd give in and join me.
All I heard was two small laughs and I knew they were up to no good. What seemed like a second later I found my self over Jimmy's right shoulder as if I was a jacket with his arm around my back.
"Aww Kat when are you ever going to learn you can't so no to your best friend Jimmy?" he said as he tightened his grip on me so I would stop flailing around. Needless to say, I gave up and just crossed my arms and enjoyed to lift. Johnny just stared at me and Jimmy and I and started laughing at us and took a picture for his stupid snapchat.
I guess getting my trig grade up would have to wait.
